7 bedroom villa with private pool 15 minutes from the beach

Our large villa with a private child friendly pool, enclosed garden and 7 bedrooms is perfect for families who wish to come to the south of France and enjoy the exceptional weather and beaches 15 minutes away. Along with a fully fitted kitchen, a laundry room with washer and dryer, 2 dining areas, 2 family rooms and a large outdoor space with a private pool, you have everything for a perfect family holiday

A shaded veranda on 2 sides of the villa gives you plenty of space to enjoy the weather whilst dining on local fresh produce, listening to the sizzling of steaks on the bbq and sipping chilled wines from the local vineyard

Downstairs there are not one but two family rooms allowing the adults to spend time relaxing whilst the children enjoy the toys provided or watching films on the 42 inch tv in the other, or perhaps the other way around.

Also downstairs there are 4 bedrooms, the first bedroom is a master bedroom with air conditioning, ensuite shower and toilet, the second bedroom is a large double with fan, both bedrooms have doors leading directly to the terrace. Bedrooms 3 and 4 have 2 single beds in each and fans with windows opening onto the back garden. A large lovingly refurbished bathroom comprising of a walk-in rain shower decorated with Travertine tiling and double sink, 2 separate toilets completes the ground floor of our villa

As you make your way upstairs you will see on your right the first of three bedrooms with 2 single beds and a large cot, to the left you will pass the bathroom, with a bath, sink and toilet. Straight on and you come to the large double bedroom with king size bed and from here you have access to the childrens' bedroom with 2 single beds and a cot. All upstairs bedrooms have air conditioning and heating for your comfort.

The villa is situated in the quiet village of Salles D’Aude and is walking distance from supermarkets, bars and restaurants. Alternatively you can drive to cultural cities of Narbonne, Carcassone and Beziers and soak up the French lifestyle.

Plenty of beaches for you to choose from including Narbonne and Valras plage

My name is Emma and along with my husband and 2 young boys we have lived in Salles D'Aude for 3 years. I am English and my husband is French. We moved from Burgundy where my husband is from and have found our forever home at here.

Why Emma chose Salles-d'Aude

We love our home, it has an secure enclosed garden where our children can explore in safety. Our pool has a barrier so I have no problems leaving my children in the garden whilst I am in the house. Its in a quiet area and relaxing part of the South of France. Our village is very friendly with lots of walks through vineyards or down the shop of baker.

Safety and excellent facilities make this an ideal stay for families.

The security of the pool and garden allowed us to relax and let our grand-children roam in safety. The garden kept the little ones happy whilst the pool was the focus for the rest of us. We have visited many houses through the years but all agreed that this was the best laid out. The two lounges allow plenty of space, even when we were at capacity, it did not seem full. The layout of the premises allow for a relaxing break, we would definitely return to this property. Our host, Emma, had worked hard to ensure that we had a great holiday; we did.

Good size family property

The house and grounds are large. The garden is ideal for small children with plenty of toys to play with, slide, trampoline and lots more and the secure pool gave peace of mind as we had my 2 year old Grandson with us.

The kitchen is small but had most equipment needed with lots of fridge/freezer space.

The living space was fine and the outside dining was good. There was only one bedroom with a wardrobe fortunately it was in a bedroom which we didn't use so although not ideal we could share the limited hanging space. The bedrooms definitely need wardrobes and more storage space also the bedrooms without air conditioning were very hot and would benefit from it as the fans provided were very noisy and made it difficult to sleep.

on a 2 week rental a cleaner would normally come in after the first week including changing bed linen and towels although the pool was cleaned no cleaner was provided.

The owners were very helpful and were easily contacted if we had a problem. Although I agree that the pool thermometer was broken and had to be paid for I didn't agree with the extra cleaning charge which led to a £50 deduction from the deposit.

I would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends and family if the issues raised were dealt with.
