4 bedrooms, 2 bathroom, sleeps 8/10 people 2 x twin, 2 x double, 1 x db sofa bed
Villa Gabriella is a well kept, stunning 4 bedroom property situated between the town of Chiclana and Conil (Roche is 2 minutes away) in the region of Cadiz in southern Spain, the villa offers English, German, Spanish and French tv, and Wifi connection. It has a large lounge/dining room with open fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, 1 bathroom and 1 en suite shower room, the property stands in a beautiful large mature gardens with a patio and additional shaded seating area by the 8 x 4 metre pool, the garden is very private and secluded with plenty of space for children to play and a barbeque for alfresco dining. At the front of the house are secure gates with parking for cars and a shaded patio area with comfortable seating. The villa can sleep up to 8/10 people. Villa Gabriella is situated overlooking Santa Melia Golf which is a 18 hole golf course just off the n340. Walking distance is a venta, bar/restaurant and beautiful countryside and pine trees, a car is necessary for the beach 3km away, shopping, restaurants and supermarkets are also close by.
This region of Spain is perfect for a family holiday, the region has plenty to offer, from historical cites with such charm! Cadiz, Seville and Jerez are all worth a visit, Gibraltar, 1.15 hrs away is a good day out for a bit of tax free shopping, a trip around the rock is an experience, watch out for the monkeys!! trips to see the Dolphins are also available, which is a really great experience. Verjer de la Frontera is a lovely hill top Spanish Village, a 15 minute drive away, this is one of my favorite places lots of little shops, boutiques, restaurants and bars.
Conil (a weekly market is worth a visit) and a lively little place to visit during the day or evenings, El Porta de Santa Maria - You can take a boat trip across the Bay of Cadiz to this lovely town, with it's fine Bodegas, fish restaurants, pop across for lunch together with a glass of fino or two! Tarifa - again Dolphin trips are available from here, which are a great trip for all the family, Go to the beach where the big sand dune is (punta paloma) experience a mud bath!! And watch the kite surfers! Rota, Sanlucar de Barrameda, Donana Cota National Park, are some of the few places that are really worth a visit - or if you choose to sit and relax by the pool, ride the waves or relax on the beautiful La Barrosa Beach, or hire a Kayak at Santi Petri Beach and paddle over to what seems like your own private island! We are sure you will have a lovely holiday in the Costa de Luz.

We love the Costa de La Luz area - the beaches, towns, Conil, Verjer de La Frontera, the history of the area - Cadiz, Jerez, Seville, this is traditional Spain and you really get the feel for it here in this fantastic area.
Guestbook comments from the owner
Dear Patrick and Jackie
Just a note to say thanks so much for accomodating us at such late notice at the beginning of July. We had a wonderful time; the villa was so well-appointed and relaxing; everything we could possibly need; as a result we did a lot more BBQ at the villa than eating out, and I read your entire book collection!!!
The pool and garden area is a real bonus - so many wee places to sit and relax, either in or out of the sun, but as it had been some time since we had seen the sun (and probably a while untile we see it again now we're back!) we took advantage of the blue sky days!
Cosat de la Luz really is "secret Spain"; thoroughly enjoyed getting immersed in the streets and plazas of Vejer and Cadiz. We didn't get to Jerez, but it gives us an excuse to go back to that lovely part of Europe. We thoroughly enjoyed the ruins at Baelo Claudio and the amazing coastline from Bolonia to Algerica with views to Africa.
Stuart was so helpful when we had a wee problem with the boiler and kindly lent Alistair a set of golf clubs, so he had a ball at Campano.
Thank you again, we had a superb time.

Paradise in Cadiz
Weekend away with the family
We spent a great couple of days in this villa. Facilities within the villa are wonderful. Three double/twin rooms one with ensuite shower room and wc. There is a separate bathroom. Kitchen has all the necessary equipment and ample in size. TV is available if necessary as well as wifi access which the youngsters really appreciated.
The pool/bbq/terrace areas are perfect. Great size pool where many an hour were spent!!!
Location near Chiclana and Conil is another positive. Even though we did not use it as such, it is a great base to discover the surrounding area be it the wonderful Barrossa Beach or the towns nearby (Jerez, Cadiz, Puerto Santa Maria or slightly further away Seville). All the different well known supermarkets are situated very nearby so very convenient if you just want to relax in during your stay.
Booking arrangements via email with Jackie and Patrick were easy and they were always asking to further assist e.g. providing cots for babies if required.
Cannot wait for our next visit!
Lovely villa.Gorgeous Gardens and Pool
We had a wonderful family holiday at Villa Gabriella. Jackie and Patrick were very helpful and friendly from the outset (even offering us the opportunity to arrive a day earlier than planned if we needed to- we didn't but it was a generous gesture!). The villa was clean and well- maintained and the alcoholic welcome pack was much appreciated! The weather at the start of September was lovely so we enjoyed lots of lazy days by the gorgeous pool and enjoyed the selection of pool toys provided for guests to use. The photos and description on the website are true to reality and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending a stay at this villa using a hire car to explore the gorgeous Costa de la Luz. Cadiz, Aqualand and Verjer were all well worth a trip!
It was our first time visiting this part of Spain & from looking at the variety of villas available 'Villa Gabriella' both suited the size of our group of 4 adults and 5 children & also having spoken to a few of the owners Patrick & Jackie were amazingly helpful and accommodating with a few bespoke requests that we had including an extra bed in one of the very spacious bedrooms.
The villa itself and its surroundings had the perfect blend of seclusion without being too far away from the local amenities.
After a few days exploring the local area - the pool guy (who came in several times during our stay to ensure the pool was clean) tipped us off about a beach where the locals frequent which led to us almost making a daily visit to enjoy its long quiet stretches of sand and the kids enjoyed body surfing in the waves. There are several beach bars along the route that serve fantastic fish & salad dishes, a perfect escape for a few hours out of the warm sun.
The beach was a 10 minute drive from Villa Gabriella and on route you passed through a urbanised area with a few large hotels & apartment blocks that also had several small squares of bars, shops & restaurants and we visited several of these in the evenings during our stay and found them to be very pleasant and accommodating to a reasonably large group and looked after the children very well.
Overall it was a fantastic holiday in an amazing part of Spain enhanced by a wonderful venue - some of the best nights were spent simply lighting the BBQ opening a bottle of rioja (or three) and enjoying the surroundings.
A perfect location & base for a large family, group or 2 families.
Thanks again to Jackie & Patrick - we shall return.
Best regards The Childs & The Hanks families.
Very good,brilliant holiday
Lovely villa very well equipped and in an excellent location.the only improvement that could be made would be to install aircon.an excellent resteraunt well worth a visit is the Italian at la muela called El forno, opposite vejer up in the hills.
Spent 5 nights in this fantastic villa. Lovely location with various bars and supermarkets around. Villa was extremely well equipped with all necessities. BBQ area made cooking so much easier. Patio sitting area to choose from. Beautiful gardens. Large bedrooms with comfortable beds. Ensuite shower room and toilet very convenient. Photos exactly reflect the Villa. Definitely one of the best villas we have rented out. A home from home. Looking forward to booking again. Our pet dog Skylar also enjoyed running around the garden.
From the Owner
“The Costa de La Luz offers good weather, beautiful beaches, and traditional Spain, we feel the area and the house offers everything you need for a family holiday. at first we were thinking of buying a small apartment, we were shown the land opposite the golf course with the little finca, (the original house of the land) and eventually built the house and designed the gardens - it was a huge project and a little daunting! Eventually it was built and now we have this great house and area to enjoy, we really hope you enjoy it too!”
Activity and Interests
Villa Gabriella is situated overlooking Melia Santi Petri golf course, it is a nice quite location and yet only a few minutes away from la barosa beach which really is a fantastic beach, very beautiful, clean and natural, ideal for children, (don't forget your surfboard, the waves are great fun) The beach has a promenade too. Novo Santi Petri is nearby, a commercial complex with shops bars and restaurants, 5 star hotels, tennis, golf and horse riding. Chiclana town is a 10 minutes away which is a delightful hustle bustle Spanish town with a daily food market, bars, shops and bodegas. Cadiz is approx 15 minutes by car which is well worth a visit, especially the old quarter, full of history and culture. Tarifa 1 hour away by car heading towards Gibraltar, a great place for the serious wind/kite surfer and from here dolphin and whale watching trips are available. So if you are looking for a relaxing, very Spanish holiday away from the madding crowd, this is it! The perfect holiday!

From the Owner
“If you are looking for a very Spanish holiday a world away from the other 'Costas' with very little development, clean sandy beaches that run for miles, and beautiful sunsets over the Atlantic sea, traditional Spanish towns with so much history and charm, this area has it all. Villa Gabriella is ideally situated to visit all these places or sit back, relax and enjoy the private villa with its nice surroundings, garden and pool in the warm sunshine with a nice glass of fino!”
