4 Bedrooms with views to Gibraltar. Puerto Banus and Marbella 30min Drive.

This large, contemporary townhouse will fulfil the wish list of anyone looking for very spacious accommodation of a high standard in this very exclusive community. Set over three floors, (each floor is accessible via lift as well as marble staircases,) The top floor has spectacular views over the Mediterranean and the coastline of Gibraltar, (less than 10km away.) This area is also prime Golfing territory

And the house looks over the Alcaidesa Links.

A large Hot Tub (extra costs Nov-April) substantial sunbathing decks and fully furnished dining terrace are just a shortlist of the features at this extraordinary house which has been designed with Al Fresco living very much in mind. A communal pool is just a few meters walk from the front door.

The interiors of the property are equally as impressive with each room bathed in light. On the ground floor of the property you will find a large sitting room which is beautifully furnished with Italian leather sofas. There is also a large internet enabled television and Free WIFI. This room flows through to a dining room with a table large enough to accommodate 8-10 people. Also on this level you will find a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room.

On the first floor there are three large bedrooms, 1 with a king sized bed (with room for a separate single/cot), one with a double bed and one which can be configured either as a double or twin bedroom. There are also two bathrooms on this level.

The master bedroom on the second floor is an impressive space with three balconies ensuring a sun filled room at all times of the day. This room has a Superkingsize bed and a sofa bed for 2 but there is also room for an additional bed/cot of required.

The property also benefits from a basement with private double garage (with electronic Shutters) and storeroom.

Child facilities such as stair gates and cots are available on request.

Location

The townhouse is within the small private gated complex of Marina Del Alacidesia which is part of the larger Town of Alcaidesa famous for its 36 Hole Links Golf course and kilometres of sandy Beaches.

Alcaidesa Village which is a 10 minute walk from the house has a selection of restaurants and bars. Alcaidesa Village also has a 24 hour Security manned gate.

A car is essential in this area as there is not yet a full supermarket within walking distance. A larger selection of amenities are also only accessible by car.

We are ideally situated for any host of activities. Soto Grande is the nearest town 5 km away and is modelled on Venice. It is a picturesque colourful town with its own exclusive Marina and several restaurants, bars. Soto Grande is famous for its polo matches attracting Royalty as well as some of the World’s best players.

Puerto Banus and Marbella are the nightlife capitals of this area and are an easy 20 minute drive to the North West.

Gibraltar is a 15 minute drive to the South with duty free shopping, and the famous baboons.

The famously beautiful beach at Bolonia which is considered as Andalucía’s best Beach is just up the coast from Tarifa and a 40 minute drive away. Take the ferry from Tarifa to Morrocco for a day out.

We came across this house while looking at other investment options - this house was about 3 times our budget but we fell in love with it and managed to get the figures to work - now we just need you to want to stay here as much as we do!

What makes this house unique

The house is just so large and airy. La Alcaidesa seems to us to be an undiscovered area - its am area mostly occupied by people working in Gibraltar rather than lits of tourists. The house is very easy walk to the beach and the local bars are just a 15minute walk. Really easy and safe to get around, especially with children.

Nice spacious property but not as good as expected.

The upper bedroom did not have an en-suite bathroom and the door to one of the balconies was broken. The main bedroom which did have a lovely bathroom didn't have a wardrobe to hang clothes! The light was broken in the front bedroom. Air conditioning was an additional expense of £15 a night and only had one remote control for all three floors, it was a very noisy unit in the upper bedroom. There was no midway cleaning done. We visited the agents a couple of days into our stay to tell them the few problems , but no one came to rectify them or get in touch with us. Our bond money was returned after a charge was made for two missing pillows of £25, I informed the owner we didn't take any pillows with us and she still hasn't retunded us. The holiday was a very relaxing stay for us as there wasn't much to do anywhere close by, we could go to one of the pools or take a walk to the beach or sit in the garden and use the hot tub during the day which was lovely, but in the evening there were only a few restaurants in the village centre and we had to use the car if we wanted to go further, there were no buses.

Owner's Response: I'm disappointed reading your review as we do try very hard to make sure that property meets with expectations and I have taken great care to ensure that I fully describe the rooms and bathrooms around the house and indeed that a Car is essential for a greater selection of amenities and a proper supermarket (there is only a mini mart in the village). Cleaning mid stay is available if requested but this would be chargeable. I wish you had reported problems to me when you had no luck with the agent as they are paid to provide you with this service and I could have ensured it was sorted out before it was a problem if I had known. I have decided to charge for the A/C separately to keep costs down for those who do not want it, Alcaidesa is on the straights of Gibraltar and benefits from a wonderful breeze. I happily allow guests to arrive and then add it on if they need to. It is a non bustling area and that's why we love it. There are 5 restaurants/ tavernas within a 20 minute walk and too many to count up within a short 10 minute drive and we've never needed more. There are buses from the top end of the village but yes this would be a good 20 minute (up hill) walk to the bus stop. There is information at the house to help guide you with regards to activities/ places to see in the area- we still haven't got around them all - but yes you do need to be prepared to drive for some of them. I am a woman of my word and your £25 will be refunded despite the pillows still not being found. On the up side I'm please you enjoyed the Garden and Hot Tub and using the Swimming pools in the complex. I'm sure having the beach within walking distance was a great plus too. Many thanks for staying with us and rest assured all your comments have been taken to heart and any improvements will be made.

Gibraltar is a 15 minute drive from the property and is a must visit, you could easily spend a day or more exploring this fascinating Rock! Tarifa is famous amongst the locals for being the best beach in this part of Spain - only a 25 minute drive.
