Beautiful property with friendly staff
Great property for a multiple person stay. Friendly staff and great views of the lake. Just be aware there is only boat access to and from the property.

Perfect for a family vacation
We loved our stay at Atitlan Villas. We were an extended family of 11, including 4 young children and an infant, and the house worked perfectly for us. Jerry (the restaurant chef) and Mario (property manager) make everything possible--and the entire staff is friendly and helpful. Mario arranged boats for our large group, and every day we visited a different town or site on the lake. The kids loved coming back to play in the pool and "hot" (actually just warm, but nice) tub. Jerry cooked almost all of our meals (except lunch, which we usually ate on an excursion elsewhere), and because we were a large group with young children, we generally ate them in our own villa. One suggestion I would make is to better equip the villa's kitchen, including keeping staples for guests, and having better utensils available. It is difficult to shop on that part of the Lake, as Julio had warned us. Also be prepared to pay daily for boat services. The weather was perfect every day, and the view is just spectacular. You will have a great time!

Beautiful property and extremely hospitable staff!
The Atitlan Villas were absolutely breathtaking and such a wonderful relaxing little piece of paradise. We had 11 people stay in the house comfortably. The staff was very hospitable in supplying food and drinks for the house at our request, and also booking excursions for us to hike and explore the nearby towns. You can hike on the property or enjoy a relaxing day at the pool by the lake or any of the nearby towns are only a short boatride away. Our group absolutely loved this place!

Stunning property- right on the lake!
A group of 11 of us stayed here during Semana Santa, and we all had a great time! The villa was spacious enough for us all-- although, we did spend most of our time outside. The views from the rooms were incredible, and there were a few of us that would get up at 6am just to sit on the balcony and enjoy the sunrise. Everyone on the hotel grounds made sure we had a great stay (thank you Mario (jr. too!), Agustin, Jerry and Juan!) We made use of everything they had to offer. Jerry (the chef) cooked up great meals for all of us, and this is where we mainly ate. We took out the jet skis, kayaks and boats (they do charge, but the price is not bad compared to other cities that we've used boating equipment). My only wish would have been to have access to other places easier, since the hotel stands alone on the side of the mountain. However, it was very easy to zip over to the other pueblos on their boats, which was probably our favorite part of staying on the lake. I would definitely recommend taking a day to boat out to some of the other pueblos. Our favorites were San Pedro, San Marcos and Santiago. Overall, the grounds were very well maintained. Wifi worked great in the areas that it lists, food was great, and service was spectacular.

Fantastic location and hospitality
The accommodation and facilities speak for themselves and were faultless. The staff and hospitality however stood out as something special, we were lucky enough to arrive while one of the owners was at the villas - he provided us with a guided tour of the fruit and coffee plantations situated on the steep hill behind the villas, including breathtaking views of the entire lake and surrounding volcanos and sampling of the coffee grown on the premises.
