A very homely apartment in the prestigious location of S’Agaró (Costa Brava), with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sleeping up to six people. Freshly decorated and furnished throughout, with marble floors and fully equipped kitchen, TV/DVD (plus large movie library) and central heating for Winter. South facing sun terrace overlooking the communal swimming pool - spend your evenings relaxing and drinking ’al fresco’. Plenty of free parking but also very walkable location for non-drivers. The Jardins de S’Agaró boast attractive gardens with 2 swimming pools within a private complex. Your local supermarket, butchers, bakers, etc., are just 500m away down quiet, tree-lined streets, into the quaint S’Agaró High Street. Reasonable weather all year round, great scenery and the opportunity for day tripping the awesome Pyrenees, Barcelona or France for anything from skiing, gastronomy, cava drinking and much more.

All inquiries welcomed - ideal for young families.

Girona Airport to Apartment: The whole holiday area is very walk able. If you do not wish to rent a car, a taxi will cost you about 45 Euro. It's 19 miles so takes 20-25 min. We can also arrange a pick-up service, with name boards at Arrivals, if you prefer.

Or a bus service can take you via Girona, where you need to change for Platja D'Aro and S'Agaro. With the expansion of Girona Airport in 2009, there are also a number of seasonal buses appearing at the airport that will take you to S'Agaro High Street direct.

Safe, quiet, clean (and a little famous): The whole area is very safe, quiet and clean with a wealthy history linked back originally to the Hollywood Greats of the 1920s and 30s (Humphrey Bogart, Charlie Chaplin, Frank Sinatra, Ava Gardner, Orson Welles, Lauren Bacall etc) - so you will feel comfortable walking around the area without a car and (to let you into a secret) those who have built a little local knowledge of S'Agaró just keep coming back year after year.

Great family holiday

At different times of the year we have been 3 times now to this beautifully appointed apartment in a brilliant location. A car is preferable but the transport network between Gerona and Barcelona is frequent and very good. 2 lovely clean beaches are in walking distance which makes the hohliday so good for a family retreat.

Very Spanish. Thoroughly recommended.

Owner's Response: Thanks B! It's a good point that this is a very coveted location by the locals, who mostly live in Barcelona during the week. So it's private and quiet. You won't find tourists jumping in and out the pool, and partying loudly next door, as the apartments all belong to local families.

Perfect!

We have been to the apartment twice now (and are looking to make it 3!) and it was perfect for us and our daughter. We now have 2 girls and so look forward to taking her there too!

The flights to Barcelona are hassle free and cheap too if you book early, and the travel between the airport and the apartment takes about 30 minutes.

The beaches are within walking distance and are clean and sandy - perfect for the many hours of sandcastle building that needs to be done! The pools at the apartment are great too (but cold early in the season!)

With a very young child at the time, we did not eat out that often and there are supermarkets nearby to stock up.

We did however go to the Aqua park - and thats well worth a visit!!!

All in all, we found the apartment to be very clean, spacious and just what we needed for a relaxing break.

Would highly recommend to all ages as there is something for everyone.

Couldn't have wanted more!

My family and I had a wonderful experience of renting the apartment in beautiful S'Agaro. It exceeded our expectations and we had such fun by the pool, and dining on the balcony with great food cooked in a fabulously well equipped kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom and shower room worked well for all in our party, it was spotlessly clean when we arrived and so easy to keep that way. It is a home from home and we all felt very welcomed by Jane and Ed both prior to our arrival and when there, with all of the useful information on the local area. Having a short walk to two of the most beautiful beaches I have seen in mainland Spain was just a wonderful bonus. Thank you, we will be coming back.

Ed/Jane & Family - I've made sure your Visitor's Book in the apartment was equally loaded with my positive feedback. Your place was ideal this Summer - this is obviously a home from home and you can tell people love it here - so relaxing! Great location near the beach, yet quiet, close to everything you need, clean and family friendly, fascinating walks around the coast and the Millionaire's villas in S'Agaro - no need for a car either! Premium S’Agaró is close to the "Monte Carlo" like marina of Platja D’Aro with its sophisticated shopping and a short drive from the port of St Feliu de Guixols, with its famous Sunday market. There is a great choice of beaches just a few minutes walk away from the apartment. St Pol Beach (400m away) has a long, curved sweep of fine, pale golden sand with shallow waters; sun beds and parasols are for hire, plus sailing, kayaks, catamarans, windsurfing and pedalloes. A selection of quality cafes and restaurants back the beach. The ¼-mile-long Sa Conca private beach is round the corner (500 m away - our favourite) and proves popular with young families; snack bar and toilets available. A host of activities are available including - Golf, Snorkeling, Scuba Diving etc. Any drive of 10 min or more along the coast will bring you in contact with some of the most beautiful coves, fishing villages and unspoilt sandy bays in all of Spain or head inland into the mountain villages of the Pyrenees, plus France is just 45 min away.

Other Activities: Aquapark for family, designer shopping, village markets, snorkelling, scuba diving, mini tourist train or simply a long cocktail watching the sun set.
