1900 square foot lakefront home has a great view of the lake from the living room and dining room and the spacious deck upstairs or the porch downstairs. There is a recently updated boat dock. Feel free to bring your boat/jet ski. The dock is a perfect place to fish and swim.

The home has central heat and air. The two bedrooms on the main (upstairs) floor have queen beds. There are two rooms and a bathroom downstairs. One room has a double bed and the the other has bunk beds with a trundle.

The kitchen is equipped with an oven, stove-top, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. The family room and dining room is one large spacious open area. There is a wood burning fireplace in the family room that makes this home perfect for a fall or winter get away.

The home has DirectTV with basic channels and wireless cable internet service.

This location is perfect for groups or families that want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Cherry lake is a spring fed freshwater lake that is perfect for swimming, fishing (large mouth bass and fresh water trout), boating, skiing, jet skiing, wakeboarding, kayaking etc. The gently hilly road around the lake is perfect for a leisurely scenic stroll, walk or run.

Cherry Lake is close enough to Wild Adventures in Valdosta to make this a great home base for your theme park vacation. There are plenty of rides including several thrilling coasters and a water park.

Memory Lane

I grew up going to the lake for vacation in the summers so I wanted my kids to get to experience that before my older girls moved away for college. We had a blast!! It was just as much fun as I remember. We were all sad to leave. We really only used the house to eat and sleep and it was perfect for that. The house is well stocked, swimming area is decent and sunrises are gorgeous!! I have a feeling that we will be back next summer 😊❤️

A week on the lake

This home has the opportunity to be an amazing property but whom ever is cleaning is not doing the job they are being paid to do. It needs a very deep cleaning including the sofas and chairs. It needs some repairs and some updates that really need to be addressed. The layout is good, the beds are comfortable. The lake is gorgeous and is a spring fed recreational lake so you can boat, jet ski, tube etc. After speaking to the owner she said they are doing some things in August. I certainly hope so.

Family vacay

The home on the lake was perfect for our family. Swimming and fishing right out the back door and a great family area for eating and relaxing. Everyone had a great time and hope to go again soon.

Graduation Gathering

The location & directions were perfect! However, the first thing we noticed was a refrigerator with at least 20 cans of beer! This could have been a relapse for one of our family members! The cleanliness of the place was questionable since we saw a black ceiling filled with black cob webs! The place needs a deep, deep cleaning. It could also use an outside sprucing up! We could barely walk onto the dock because of an over grown tree! You need to advertise in the current state of the property! The pictures online do not portray the current state of the property. You need to check the electrical downstairs as well.

We live in Valdosta. This is our weekend getaway place. We don't get to use it as much as we used to and would love to share our little get away with others.

Why they chose this property

This is reasonably close to home and very convenient for brief getaways for us.

What makes this property unique

This is a great, slow paced, beautiful lake. The lake is never crowded. It was a safe place to bring our small children (all grown up now) to tube and learn to ski. No worries about being run over by another boater. Even on Memorial Day Weekend, it is safe and quiet.
