About this property

Set within the stunning Dominican countryside, the recently refurbished Louis Villa offers you all the facilities you will need to make your stay comfortable.

A single storey, three bedroom, fully furnishedm self-contained villa, set in the hillside with a sea view. The Property has a lounge with patio doors, leading to veranda on both sides, cable TV telephone to receive incoming call, Wi Fi internet and stand fans.

Separate dining area, fully equipped kitchen with washing machine utility room with ironing board. Three bedrooms - one with a king size bed, second with a double bed, and the third with 2 single beds. Two bathrooms the large room has hot and cold water shower facilities and the smaller has cold water shower facilities.

Insect screens are installed on all windows and mosquito nets are available if required.

The Villa is set within its own tropical garden.

The Villa is a 5 minute drive or a 20 minute walk away from Salisbury Beach. Also, very close by is Mero Beach, where you will find many beach activities.

Ideally located, clean, well equipped, and local agent excellent.

Perfect for our stay on Dominica. We were late arriving but a call to the local agent, Joe Scott, meant he stayed up to greet us. Joe provided support throughout our stay and was on hand and friendly at all times. The villa was well equipped, with washing machine, toaster, microwave and music centre. There were plenty of fans and all beds had mosquito nets, although the area isn't too bad for mosquitos. Fresh mangoes and avocados straight from the trees when we were there was an added bonus. The villa is 5 min along a track so a 4WD is a good idea - which we had as we were working - and not a bad idea for Dominican roads generally. Definitely stay there again when working or on holiday. Terrific!

Pictures can be deceiving.

The location of the property is on a very high Salisbury hill in a relatively congested residential area. Unfortunately, the number of dogs and chickens don't lend themselves to a quiet environment at all hours of the day and night. The porch give you a slightly obstructed view of the sea, but by mid day the sun doesn't allow you to stay on the porch. The trees on the property are beautiful and allow you to escape the sun when needed. Inside there are 3 fair size bedrooms, a dining room and living area make for a comfortable stay. The layout of the kitchen is frustrating. The washing machine needs its own set of printed instructions. The fridge never gets really cold. A cutting board in the kitchen would go a long way in saving the plates and the countertops.. The knives need to be sharpened on a regular basis. No location in the entire house with both a mirror and a plug. This created challenges when grooming. The shower in one of the bathrooms failed to work property and was never addressed for maintenance. The master bedroom door was lacking a closing mechanism, which is supposed to be repaired. Overall, It's an acceptable location and amenities, but knwo that you are basically landlocked with little to no choice for food, beverages and entertainment, etc without a car. Joe Scott was readily available for any questions or concerns. The people in the area are very friendly and it is a relatively safe location and area. Remember if traveling from USA or Canada to bring your adapters....

Très bon rapport qualité prix mais si vous arrivez de nuit, grosse difficulté pour trouver la maison

Fort heureusement, un dominicain nous voyant perdu s a téléphoné pour savoir où était située Louis villa dans Salisbury et nous a précédé avec sa voiture sur plusieurs km pour nous amener a la villa. Il aurait suffit de dire qu'elle est située en haut du village a 2,5 km de la route qui va de Roseau a Portsmuth, a côté de Villaverde, gîte connu dans tout le village. A noter l'accueil formidable sur place de Joe SCOTT, le voisin chargé de vous ouvrir la maison, très attentionné, disponible et plein de bienveillance , tout en étant parfaitement discret. Un grand grand merci a Joe SCOTT ,.

Three weeks at the Villa.

We enjoyed visiting with Joe Scotland. Upon arrival, the villa was not clean inside. We cleaned it for 2 days, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. The grounds were not maintained, complete with piles of debris and garbage. Some window screens needed repair and some windows would not open. All windows needed cleaning. We were disappointed.

Our parents came to the UK in the fifties and we were all born and live in London. We have been going to Salisbury Dominica on holiday since 1973. Our parents worked very hard in the UK and retired to Salisbury Dominica where they were surrounded by loving family and friends and we wish to follow their journey through life.

Why they chose this property

We inherited Louis Villa from our parents and we have decided to renovate the Villa because we love coming the village on holiday. Consequently, we now wish to share these experiences of holidaying on the west coast of Dominica with everybody else, and keep the Villa well maintain for future generations

What makes this property unique

The unique benefits of staying at Louis Villa, is the picturesque views surrounding the Villa being able to pick seasonal friut and coconuts with the Villa garden and the wonderful view of the sea from the veranda
