Arguably the best apartment in the fantastic new Estrella da Luz resort, located in the beautiful seaside village of Pria da Luz. This stunning, light filled apartment, beautifully furnished for the owners use allows you to live in exceptional comfort, using all of the 170m2 space in perfect proportions. The apartment has a huge 60m2 sun terrace which gets sun all day with fantastic views. The large master bedroom has a king sized bed and large double basin marble ensuite c/w bath and shower. The 2 other good sized bedrooms are fitted with twin beds. The large family bathroom has a full sized bath and shower. The kitchen is fitted with top of the range brand name appliances and a breakfast counter with seating for 4, allowing you to crate fantastic culinary delights from the fresh local produce. The living area is truly enormous with comfortable seating for 8. Relax in sublime comfort & listen to our CD collection; enjoy some great movies from our DVD collection or satellite television

Other Facilities at Estrella da Luz: The Elemis Health and Beauty spa is of a very high standard with well qualified staff offering a great range of treatments. The Calabaza restaurant offers 1st class Portuguese cuisine in beautiful surroundings. The Hugo Beaty Bar is a bright and airy bar where you can enjoy a relaxing drink. There is a large screen in one corner of the bar which shows all the major sporting events. The Hugo cafe offers coffee and light snacks all day, The great variety of restaurants available in Luz are only a few minutes walk. There is a free shuttle bus to Lagos several times each day, this bus also offers transport to the sister resorts in the region which you are also welcome to enjoy.

Beaches: The local beach in Pria da Luz, a very safe and sandy beach with beach bar cafes over looked by the the famous black cliff and is only a 5 minute stroll from the apartment. In addition there are several other beaches a short 5 - 10 minute drive from Luz. Meia Pria which runs in front of Lagos which boasts an amazing 4 kilometer stretch of white sand, There is a wind surfing centre on the beach as well as many restaurants; Dona Anna, Porto de Mos, Camillo, Salema, and Burgau are all more favorites. These are family friendly with excellent facilities. A little further one can visit the west cost with its wild and beautiful beaches. The enormous waves on these beaches make them extremely popular with surfers.

Day Trips: Take a drive into the stunning green mountains of Monchique. The drive enjoys a stunning vista of sea and mountains bringing you to Foia at 900 meters is the highest point in the Algarve. Visit Caldas de Monchique, the hot springs for which Monchique is famous. Try some chicken piri-piri for lunch washed down by some delicious Vino Verde. Head out of Lagos on the N125 towards Sagres taking a detour via Ponte de Piedade, a high rock formation hollowed out by the seas below. From there continue to Sagres and Cape Vincent the most westerly point in Europe with its fortress and superb views of the west coast. The Bravura is a man made lake, a beautiful and peaceful spot where you can relax and enjoy nature. It is certainly worth a drive to Vilo de Bispo and Aljiezur to visit the wild and beautiful beaches at Castelejo, Cordams, Odeceixe, Amonoriera Borderia and Amado. Take the exiting dolphin safari trip from the marina or the Bom Dia boat for an interesting and relaxing day trip

Top class holiday experience.

The apartment is a large tastefully furnished and very well equipped apartment, with the very significant bonus of the fantastic sun terrace, From the terrace we enjoyed lovely sea views.

If the choice is to sunbathe on the terrace the owners provide 8 sun loungers.

The apartment is 5 star quality in my view, ideal for a great family holiday.

The Estrella apartment complex is again of top standard, managed

to high level. It has 3 outdoor pools and an indoor pool and gym.

The village of Praia Da Luz has a good number of very good restaurants

and some nice small bars for a drink in the evening.The beach is just 5 minutes walk from the Apartment. The beach area is a lovely place to bring the children. It is very well maintained and has a great variety of things

to do for all the family..

In summary, Praia da Luz is a great place to holiday and this Apartment, in the Estrella complex is as good as it get's.

Fantastic, spacious apartment in a lovely place

My family and I were lucky enough to find this wonderful apartment for our holiday this year. Ted was brilliant with answering all of our questions before and after booking. The description that Ted has put on Owners Direct is really good, but you can't really accurately describe just how lovely and spacious the apartment is. We were all totally pleasantly surprised when we opened the door and saw the size of the rooms and the terrace - wow. It is really a home from home - everything you need is there (including hairdryers) - books, dvds, modern kitchen equipment and the view from the terrace is gorgeous.

The staff at the complex are very helpful and friendly, the restaurant (and food) is great, cocktails delicious. There are four pools in total - the adult pool, family pool, baby/toddlers pool and the indoor pool which has a Jacuzzi and sauna. The gym looked well equipped (none of us are gym bunnies so we didn't use the machines) and we heard good things about the massages in the spa.

Praia da Luz itself is lovely, not built up, but with a good choice of shops, bars, restaurants and beach facilities (along with watersports) to keep everyone happy. The wide, sandy beach is beautiful with the different colours of the cliff at the end of the beach really coming through in certain lights. There were a good mix of nationalities there when we visited.

We ate at Atlantico and Fortaleza da Luz (as well as the onsite restaurant) and the food and service were fab. My husband is a chef, and it is hard to please his discerning taste buds and need for good service, but he was delighted. Most evenings we had a BBQ on the terrace, it was so nice to have the freedom to do so.

We used the nearby Spar and Baptista shops and I would recommend the Baptista for more choice. Both are a short stroll from the complex.

We hired a car for a day and explored Sagres and happened upon an amazing surfing beach heading north from Sagres (Carrapateira) where they have a choice of surfing schools and equipment to rent, along with beach bars. We used the local car hire shop - Luz Ocean Drive where they had really reasonable rates and everything was very straightforward. You could also book tours and airport transfers from here, plus hire pushchairs.

As a travel agent, I am used to visiting many wonderful places, but I couldn't fault the apartment or Luz and all three generations of my family that stayed here had a truly fantastic holiday.

The beautiful village of Luz enjoys a very safe white sandy beach with a lovely promenade and fantastic ocean views. Ideal for families and couples alike, Luz offers excellent restaurants to enjoy. The Baptista Supermarket offers daily fresh vegetables as well as an in-house bakery. A bank, post office and excellent medical centre ensure you have access to all essential services if required. Golf courses in the area are a-plenty with discounted green fees available. Luz is just a 10min drive (€7.00 taxi) from the Old historic town of Lagos. A perfect mix of the very old and the new, Lagos boasts a stunning marina with restaurants, shops and bars, as well as quaint narrow cobbled streets overlooked by historical Moorish architecture. At night the old town comes alive with open air stalls, artists and entertainers. Lively bars, jazz clubs and night clubs add to the eclectic mix. Inhabited by particularly friendly people. Luz/ Lagos is one of the most appealing locations in the Algarve.

Golf: 5min from Luz is the Howard Swan designed Boavista Golf Course. This is an 18 hole par 71 championship golf course situated overlooking the Atlantic and Lagos town. Its combination of design, location and the sheer variety of holes make this a great golf experience. Boavista also has he benefit of a driving range and a teaching academy. 15 minutes form Luz is the scenic and serene Palmaris course, an 18 hole par 72 that perfectly come in beach and mountain scenery. This is reflected by its links outward 9 and a hillier parkland back 9. Palmaris boasts what is generally agreed as being the most striking 1st hole in the Algarve. 20 minute drive from Luz is The legendary Penina course. This is the master work of legendary Henry Ccotton and is the first golf course to grace the algarve. This championship course has been 5 times host to the Portuguse open, a par 73, it requires length and acuaracy to score well. Also a 20 minute drive is the new course of Mogado. This is a stunning par 72 with imaginative and challenging holes bring out the best in your golf. Another 20 minute drive will bring you to the superb Parque de Floresta golf resort. An 18 hole par 72 is laid out through hills and valleys which are blanketed by flowers in spring. It provides a good and attractive challenge with lakes and rivers to negotiate and with spectacular views of the Atlantic to the south side.

  • Rental includes unlimited access to The Estrella da Luz facilities which include 2 outdoor pools a children's pool an indoor pool, gymnasium, health and beauty spa, tennis courts and children's play area. The outdoor pools offer plenty of sun loungers as well as a terrace bar where you can enjoy a light lunch or some drinks. Our English speaking representative will meet you on arrival and be available to you through out your stay should you require any assistance. The rental includes a welcome pack, luxury towels which will be changed twice weekly and cotton bed linen which will be changed once weekly. Daily cleaning is a cost option if required, As well as the great facilities, there are many excursions and organised events which can be booked at reception. Golf and tennis lessons are available with on site professionals. Reduced Green fees are available for all local golf courses when booked through reception. Airport transfers and baby sitting services can be arranged.
  • We can offer you discounted car rental rates. Please enquire stating the class of car and dates required and we will be happy to quote you. Please enquire for discounted long term winter breaks. We offer a discounted rate for the second week during winter months. We are also flexible on changeover dates during winter months (Nov through March). Electricity will be metered during winter months and charged separately.
  • Rates are quoted in Euro, however we will accept payment in other currencies. A 20% deposit is required to secure the booking. Balance due eight weeks prior to arrival. a €250.00 security deposit is required with the final payment. This will be returned to you one week after departure. The security deposit will not be used against small breakages such as crockery. The apartment will be available from 3pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 11.00am on the day of departure. Where other bookings allow we will try to accommodate reasonable variations on these times.

This terrace, which overlooks the pools and has fantastic sea views, enjoys sun all day-So you can enjoy peace and quiet in the sun away from the bustle of the resort if you so wish. The 3 bedrooms and living areas all have individually controlled air-conditioning, a must for the summer months; for the cooler evenings the apartment offers under floor heating throughout. The kitchen is a great room with a breakfast counter, separate terrace with seating for 4 and all mod-cons making it a home away from home. DVDs, CDs and board games are there for your enjoyment. This large south west facing apartment offers access to all the fantastic Estrella da Luz facilities, bar's and restaurants. A Kiddies club operates in the summer months and other peak times, offering supervised activates for your children while you relax in the sun.
