This delightful apartment with its own LOVELY LARGE 80M2 TERRACE, green and partly shady with wonderful views over the river below, occupies the whole of the downstairs of the house. It has a covered pergola with tables and chairs for outside eating, parasols and sun-loungers.
It has a large sitting-room, open-plan fully-fitted kitchen (with large fridge, dish-washer, Bosch washing machine and ceramic hob cooker with circulating fan oven) and dining area with French doors to its very large terrace, a double bedroom with French doors to a smaller terrace with direct access to the swimming-pool, a bathroom with bath/ shower unit and a separate WC. There is air-conditioning and central heating.

The house nicely divides into four private apartments each with its own terrace and delightful river views and is just above the waterfront and beaches and adjacent to the lovely old French village of Collias.

we came to les loriots for the third time..and it was wonderful again. the new balcony is a perfect place for having breakfast and relaxing with a perfect view over the river. we'll be back...

The Wing, Les Loriots
The apartment was wonderful! Everything was as to be expected and better. Everything you would hope for on arrival.
The location is fabulous, overlooking the Gardon from the terrace. Less than a five minute walk into Collias, where there were 2 supermarkets, post office, boulangerie, restaurants and canoeing companies.
The apartment is well maintained, clean and above all else has everything you would need while you are away from home.
The information basket in the apartment was very helpful, as was the owner!
I would highly recommend this apartment. We hope to go back next year!
Simply the Best!
We had a fabulous holiday at 'Les Loriots'. The lower appartment is wonderful and the view from the terrace onto the river and the mountains is amazing. It is only a few minutes' walk into the village for bread, groceries restaurants, wine-tasting. There is plenty to see in the area e.g. Uzes, Avignon etc; and canoeing under the Pont du Gard is not to be missed. The owner Allie is extremely friendly and hospitable. We cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Haus, Umgebung und Wetter waren einfach perfekt. Genau die richtige Umgebung zur Entspannung und Erholung.
Wir werden im nächsten Jahr in jedem Fall wiederkommen.
A Great Place to Stay
We had the first floor one bedroom. Each apartment gets its own assigned outside space to allow for privacy. The pool is shared. Although all three units were rented while we were there, the three couples ended up in the pool at the same time only once. There is plenty of privacy here. We didn't think we'd use the pool much in mid-June, but we used it everyday we were there. It was well maintained
The owner was cordial, helpful, and very easy to deal with.The place was clean and well-equipped. Although the inside was very comfortable, we spent virtually every waking moment on the terrace overlooking the river. It is spectacular. We saw herons, beavers and other wildlife on the river.
Collias is a bit out of the way but centrally located to a lot of places and things we wanted to see. The Pont du Gard (8km downstream from the house), Uzes, Nimes, and Avignon are all less than 30 minutes away. There are medieval villages, Roman ruins, and vineyards all over the area. There are a couple of major supermarkets within easy driving distance. We tended to use the one outside Uzes. There are a number of farms in the area, and we were able to get some great fresh fruit at roadside stands. Apricots and peaches were in season when we were there and were delicious.
There is a path along the river that runs right beneath the terrace. The house sits at the top of a gorge. We saw rock climbers carrying their gear upriver several times. Kayaks and canoes floated by regularly although the main kayak and canoe rental places are a couple of hundred meters downstream. Renting a kayak and floating downstream and under the Pont du Gard is not to be missed.
There are a couple of small markets in the town that you can walk to for bread, fruit, wine, and various other goods. There is a recycling dropoff center in the village just before the bridge over the river.
The driveway is a bit spooky the first few times you go up because you're going from the river level to the top of the gorge in about 40 meters.
Overall, the area is great, the accomodations are great, and the owner was great. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
If we were to return to the area, I'd defintely want to stay here. Next year, we're planning to stay in southwest France along the Med or the Dordogne, and we hope to find someplace as good as this for our stay.
Great house in a great location. Well cleaned and maintained.
Only one potential issue if renting one part of the house, is that noise could travel quite easily between the various flats. However, this wasn't a problem for us.
Would highly recommend.

Activity and Interests
The village of Collias has restaurants, a boulangerie and local supermarkets all within 3 minutes walk of the house. In this area of outstanding, natural beauty you can walk for hours along the banks of the Gardon. You can take a picnic and find your own private beach for a swim, on foot, by canoe or even by bicycle. There are numerous beautiful birds along the river and other wild-life. You can even see beavers if you know where to look.
Languedoc and Western Provence is a terrific region, just full of Wonderful things to do and places to see.
The magnificent Pont du Gard, which is the largest Roman aqueduct in Europe, is just 6 kilometers east and is accessible by car or by canoe. The beautiful 11th century town of Uzes is 12 kilometers away and boasts amongst its many old buildings a splendid castle and cathedral. The wonderful Place aux Herbes with its old cafes, shops and restaurants has a Saturday market which is one of the most popular and colourful in the region.
Avignon and Nimes, Montpellier, Arles, Aix-en-Provence, Montpellier the Camargue and the Mediterranean are all nearby. There are also long white Mediterranean beaches within an hour's drive, and they are less known and therefore not nearly as crowded as the beaches on the Cote d'Azur, 'though they just as pretty.
