Villa Vista is a fantastic location for larger group holiday - whether that is two families, a multi-generational celebration or group of friends looking to reunite.
Over our 11 years of holiday letting we have hosted weddings, significant birthdays, university reconnections, international family reunions as well as plenty of one family and smaller groups escapes. Regardless of the make-up, all have been left with fond lifelong memories based on the brilliant experience the Villa delivers and the wonderful place that is the village of Viganj.
The Villa is also a superb example of how to restore a magnificent 350-year-old stone house to its original grandeur together with all mod cons, high comfort level and a wonderful large pool in an outstanding setting.
The Villa's large inside and outside spaces mean there is a ton of room for the whole team to be together and equally, the opportunity to find somewhere quiet for a snooze or read.
There are a number of good bistros nearby but if you enjoy shopping for local produce and cooking up a storm, the Villa’s kitchen is set up for you. A large 120 cm oven and 5 gas ring hob is complimented by an amazing stone open BBQ with all the equipment you need to prepare a fantastic meal which can be shared on the terrace taking in the breath-taking views over the Adriatic in the shade on an invariably warm day, or under the stars at night.
In summary, Villa Vista the perfect tonic for the stresses of modern life.
Sitting above the village of Viganj at the tip of the Peljesac Peninsular, the amazing views from the large terrace and large swimming pool take in the length of the island of Korcula and its vineyards, and the beauty of the Medieval Citadel of Korcula Town across the sparkling crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic – and this with the sea just 250 meters from the terrace steps.
We also have access to a second villa that sleeps 8 acting as an ideal overflow for larger events.

A New Zealander living in Woking in the UK for the past 25(!) years, living with my husband Craig, daughter Ella, dog Monty and our chickens..
We fell in love with Croatia on our first trip in 2003 which set us off hunting for our perfect holiday home. We found Villa Vista the next year and set about putting it back to its former self. By all accounts, including the locals, we did a pretty good job of it.
We knew there were a number of old stone houses in the area but bought and renovated this one because of history and commanding position.
We make an active contribution to village life and have made many goods friends in Viganj, our home away from home.

Why this property?
Our guests love being here! Villa Vista has the best of both worlds in Viganj.
It is a stones throw from the Village - it's shops, bars, restaurants, sea etc., and yet has the peace, calm and unbelievable views due to its enviable position just above the village. It has been described by a recent stayer as being in your own private resort.
It is tough to beat waking up and being able to see up to 10 Adriatic islands over you morning coffee or tea - or lunch and dinner over a chilled glass of lovely local wine.
Largest private swimming pool in the area.
Private, secluded position.

We had a wonderful last minute family holiday with our four children staying at Villa Vista- this was our first visit to Croatia and it lived up to all our expectations of a stunning destination. The sea views from the villa were really breathtaking and the villa itself was spacious, comfortable and attractively done. We immediately felt at home. Our children loved having a pool all to themselves, being able to walk down to the sea and sitting in the hammocks. We went in the quiet low season and really enjoyed the tranquility. We relaxed at the villa but also found it was a good spot for exploring the gorgeous coast. The owners offer lots of helpful information about the area. Highly recommended.
A wonderful and comfort villa with fabulous views of the sea and the beautiful island of Korcula . So much to do on the doorstep for all ages, from cycling, walking, wine tasting on the land and boating, wind and kite surfing in the crystal clear sea. Safe local village for youngsters to walk and hang out in. Highly recommended.
This is actually the third time we have stayed in this perfect gem. It's hard to describe the pure magic of this place. It is stunningly beautiful, quiet, well stocked, easy to relax. Yet just a short jaunt down the road, either by foot or by car is the awesome action of a seaside village with lovely bars/restaurants, kiting, shopping, biking, boating, tennis etc. The people are amazing, some of the nicest in the world. The winerys are an easy day trip, as is Korcula, another fabulous must see. Then back to the oasis of this beautiful property. We did look at changing our location to be in the village and decided against it because we truly enjoyed the feeling each day of 'getting away' from it all. I highly recommend this place to any group that is looking to relax and have fun, it offers the perfect balance. I will be going back again and again.
Spectacular views overlooking the water and Korcula. House is charming and well-maintained and equipped for large gatherings. It was the perfect place for my husband to celebrate his fantasy 60th birthday with good friends. Even though we weren't windsurfers, it was fun to watch them enjoying their idea of paradise. Jane (owner) is attentive and suggested many local spots for eating and activities. House is maintained by a friendly band of locals who were only too willing to help us with inane questions and minor issues. Can't wait to celebrate my 60th!
Interrupted a motor homing holiday, for a week in Villa Vista with our three children & their partners, all in their 20,s I had researched villas & areas( having never been to Croatia before) & the children had voted on my three final choices. The Peljesac peninsula is stunning & in June didn't seem very busy at all.
Jane had said a small motor home could access the property but it was a heart in the mouth journey up from the road! With the childrens two hire cars it wasn't moved again until we left.
Our daughter who had arrived before us from Dubrovnik airport( such an easy journey) rushed outside to meet us exclaiming " it's even better than the photos ".
It was fabulous, great views, spacious, really well equipped & comfortable.
The pool was a real bonus( particularly after a walk up the hill after the morning bread run) & we spent the late afternoons playing pool volley ball. The offspring tried their hand at windsurfing, we all snorkelled in the lovely clear waters & had some great food & wine both locally & on our outings. The sun shone every day. It was bliss- need I go on?!
Having been asked for a recommendation of somewhere to stay in Croatia, I realised that I had never written a review of our family get together at this beautiful property. We actually stayed there for two weeks in July 2015 (Calendar wouldn't go that far back). We were a party of 12 with ages ranging from three to 71 years. The house exceeded our expecations and we all still talk about the holiday. There was a bush fire that cut out the power for 24 hours but Jane and her family were near at hand with advice and emergency water and it didn't impact on our enjoyment one little bit. The whole ambience feels like a private resort and the area surrounding it was filled with day trips, wind-sailing and fabulous places to eat and have a sunset drink. Can't recommend it highly enough.
It's difficult to describe just how wonderful our stay at Villa Vista was, from the unbelievably exquisite views, that changed by the hour, to the long, lazy hours spent in the hammock reading a book and drinking some of the peninsular's stunning wines, to swimming in the clear blue sea and sleeping in the comfortable beds.
There was enough space for us all to relax together, or be apart, the pool area was well maintained and it was a delight to see so many beautiful plants and trees growing in the garden. The owners care and attention to every detail was truly outstanding.
We'll be back, we felt the magic!
A local ferry runs to Korcula from a jetty a short walk from the Villa where further ferries can be caught to the island national park of Miljet and the unmissable city of Dubrovnik.
Viganj and its neighbouring villages of Ponte, Kuciste and Loviciste offer a range of restaurants and bars that provide a welcome break from the heat of day and a place of real beauty for evening drinks and dinner. All serve a range of local produce and fish caught on the day, together with excellent local wine.
Orebic, 4 kms away, is the main town for shopping, markets, banks etc.
Viganj has a number of windsurfing and kite boarding schools and plays host to an international windsurf and kite board competition each August. Other sporting activities include water skiing and wake boarding, scuba diving, sailing – small and blue water yachts, Para sending, tennis, hiking and mountain biking.
