Yes, the Dingle peninsula is a unique place with its rocky coastline and the Slea Head Drive that allows you to get close to the coastline. But the cottage we had rented, 3 miles outside the village of Ballyferriter, Atlantic view and all, turned out to be unique as well. Well-stocked in every respect, built five years ago, but with a lovely charm to it.
Weather was during most of the week less than REAL summer, but one thing you should know when vacationing in Ireland: You never know what to expect, or: The only constant is change. Rainy and windy most of the days, but all of a sudden the sun came through, though sometimes just for half an hour. However, not cold, so we could do good walks almost every day. To say that we enjoyed it would be the understatement of the month. Add to this that owner Philomena was a sweet and caring lady. A lovely place, indeed.
