Log Home , spectacular views, situated in an area surrounded by lakes

Situated on 4.5 acres of treed land you have a feeling of isolation and tranquility. Very comfortable, quiet, close to many lakes, mountain trails and the ocean in the most beautiful Harbour on the coast.
Steps from our home are great hikes to Pender Hill, Daniel Point and Sakinaw Lake and a bit further afield Mt. Daniel and the world famous Skookumchuck Narrows. Nearby, you also have fine and casual dining, biking, swimming in the ocean or five nearby freshwater lakes.

PROPERTY POLICIES & PROCEDURES:
 NO smoking in home; smoking area at back door or at bbq area

Do not sit on granite counter tops in kitchen

 We have a septic system - Do not deposit feminine hygiene products in toilet.
Please do not flush anything down the toilet but TP

 We ask that you do not dump cooking grease down the drain as it clogs the
holding tank and puts more waste into the septic field.

 We have a well system – conserve water when possible, spread out your showers
 Safe to drink.

 Recycling: - Bins located in Carport
 for cans/plastics/glass and paper/cardboard
 for refundable bottles/cans

 Gas Grill: The gas grill is there for your convenience. Please keep it clean and shut
off gas when not in use.

 Indoor Fireplace – not able to use due to the strict Insurance Policy
 Please do not leave any dirty dishes

 Backyard firepit for your use – Firewood - $10.00/bucket (Not able to use during a fire ban)

 We will take care of the used sheets and towels in rooms

 Sauna for your use

 Wood fired Hot tub for your use (no charge for firewood) (Not able to use as a hot tub during a fire ban but can use as a cold tub)

Beautiful house and property
We do an annual family gathering...Dave and Katy's place was perfect for all the different ages of family memebrs and was close to swimming and hikes. Such a wonderful place with great views.

Charming and unique log cabin with wonderful view of mountains, lakes, the sound and Vancouver Island. Lack of adjacent houses make it seem like a totally private north woods experience (bear, deer, many Bald Eagles and one elk spotted from the deck), Would have liked a bathroom on the second floor for the two bedrooms that are not the master suite, as the only second floor bath is in the master suite and therefore unsuitable for others to use during sleeping hours. Hosts were pleasant and helpful. Not knowing the hosts lived on the property (separate cabin and not obtrusive), we were a little stressed about how we would check-in for a late evening arrival. Texting clarified the issue and no problem as it turned out.
