About this property

charming farm house in the heart of black Périgord, 3km from Sarlat

it is a house in local stone, not overlooked, independent without being totally isolated, in a rural, calm and green setting. It is reached by a path which then goes into the forest; You have a perfectly maintained garden of 1000m2 in front of the house, not fenced (but the path is not very passenger).
The house is well exposed and bright at all hours of the day.
It is spacious and comfortable, has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 people.
you can access it by choice of the kitchen, or the living room arranged around the fireplace (where you will enjoy a little surge in the autumn or early spring evenings).
A staircase leads to the 3 bedrooms.
You will enjoy the outdoor terrace, flowered and shaded, meals and naps under the arbor, and the view of the countryside and the surrounding woods.

A great place to stay

Perfect location, comfortable accommodation and an ideal host. We spent a very pleasant week here.; the weather was great and we were able to enjoy the large private garden. The property is ideally located for the sights of the Dordogne and Michel is happy to advise on places to visit and to eat and perhaps more importantly where NOT to eat. We had an excellent holiday here and would unreservedly reccommend it.

A wonderful stay

We really enjoyed our stay in Michel and Marie's Gite. The house had everything we needed and the location was beautifully rural and peaceful but within a 5 min drive to the centre of Sarlat. It was lovely having the private outdoor area and we sat outside on the covered terrace most evenings watching the sun set. Michel and Marie lived in the adjoining property and were more than happy to provide information and/or help when asked. We have already recommended this property to family and we will definitely come back for a return stay.

Wonderful

We had a fantastic time with our family of five staying for a whole month. The house was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Good facilities within the house and very good internet. The setting was beautiful and private, with a large yard overlooking a forest. This was the prefect place to explore the Dordogne, as it was a small way out of town, but still very close for all the amenities you could require. Michel and Marie were wonderful hosts, with good communication beforehand, and also very helpful during our stay. Michel and Marie also provided us with lots of local information regarding attractions and things to do (in the form of brochures, pamplets, and maps, but also with verbal advice). Loved visiting this part of France and staying at this house. Would come back (and might do so one day!).

Great hosts and great location

Enjoyed using the house as a base for exploring Dordogne and enjoying restful dinners. Michel's house was more than ample for the two of us, and the house was quiet and great for cooking and dining outdoors. We also enjoyed the proximity to Sarlat and nearby walking/hiking trails. Michel was a fantastic host and even served as a bit of a tour guide by providing recommendations , maps, and advice on where to visit. Even more, he and his family welcomed us to a lovely dinner at their place. Overall it was a great location and house, with really kind and generous host. Would recommend for a couple or a bigger family!
