The listing was 100% accurate and we had fantastic experience staying with our host. Hughes was very helpful with transfers and planning of this trip.

We were a family of 6, three generations and the accommodations were 5 STAR. The views of the Grand Canal are just as seen in the pictures and location was perfect. Everyone must visit Venice and staying in the roomy apartment is a plus.

Our favorite homestay on our 5 stop pilgrimage in Italy! It was greatly spacious, convenient to all our needs, highly equipped and appointed. The view and hustling bustle of the Grand Canal was awesome. We spent a lot of time at the wonderful family kitchen table! The living room is bigger than my house! Thank you for the welcoming greeting as we entered the courtyar and the excellent directions for marketing. Truly our home away from home!

Beautiful apartment in a beautiful and interesting city.

The apartment was just as advertised. Nicely furnished, very large rooms, roof patio, and view of the canal. Strong WiFi. Also, another great benefit was 3 minute walk to the boat dock, San Samuel, for taxi transportation to and from the train station.

Neighborhood area dining and grocery store.

15 minute walk to St Marks square.

We would definitely stay here again.

Perfectly paradise

Absolutely without compare on all criteria. The creature comforts are superb (and as promised) from the three en almost suite bedrooms with bath to a fully equiped kitchen and the huge living area fronting the Grand Canal . . . a pleasure simply to sit in that room and pretend to be the wealthy 18th century nobleman who certainly once lived there . . . absent the lice and the deadly plagues of course. Within an easy walk from all the justly famous Venice venues but set aside on a quiet cul de sac offering sanctuary and a measure of quiet. And Hugo, just next door was always available with smiling answers to our questions. We all, three couples at the end of a nearly month hiking trip could not have been more pleased. Would certainly recommend it to all who might be interested and certainly will return.

A Memorable Stay

Venice is a magic place to visit, and this apartment adds to the spell. This is our second time of staying, and the memory of sitting in the window looking over the Grande Canal has stayed with me. And there are 4 windows to choose from!

The apartment is spacious, beautiful, well furnished, spotlessly clean, and has everything you need for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. Being 5 minutes walk from the Accademia Bridge, and 2 minutes to S. Samuele vaporetto stop, means you are close to everything, yet in a peaceful area. And there are shops and restaurants within 3 minutes walk, so eating out or using the well-equipped kitchen is a difficult decision.

The apartment has a great Grand Canal View, the drawing room has 5 big windows facing the Grand Canal and gives the impression to be right in the heart of Venice. The 180° view starts at the Accademia bridge and museum, on the left side, facing the beautiful twin Palazzos Contarini Corfù then Palazzo Loredan deli ambasciatori, further to the right, another Palazzo Contarini and the magnificent Cà Rezzonico museum, ending then with Palazzos Brandolini and Giustiniani up to the "turn" of the Grand Canal.

The apartment is in a very Central position in what is considered one of the most elegant neighbourhoods, next to Santo Stefano square, the Accademia museum and Bridge, and literally next door to Palazzo Grassi Museum with its François Pinault collection. It is 10 minutes walk from Saint Mark's square and 15 minutes away from the Rialto bridge and its colourful, busy, and practical fish market.

It is the perfect place to stay to be able to enjoy a peaceful stay, because the building is slightly off the beaten track, but still allows you to get to most sightseeing places easily.

One of the very nice features of the location is that it has many very pleasant restaurants right on Santo Stefano square and its surroundings, as well as all the restaurants close to the Fenice theatre, which is 6 minutes walk from the house, and provide plenty of "after-show" dining choices.

At 10 minutes walk away from the house, you'll be in the St Mark's square area with all of its restaurants starting from La Caravella, to the starred restaurant "Grand Café Quadri" right on the square, as well as the "Gran Café Florian", and the mythical Harry's bar.

There are also many other food experience options that can be discovered, but they will be provided on site according to the taste of each guest..
