This two bedroom, two bath house sleeps up to a maximum of six guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with all dining and cooking needs. The living area has a flat screen TV with local and national channels and Netflix. The deck has a BBQ, picnic table, and outdoor furniture.

Wawona is inside Yosemite National Park, near the south entrance, Highway 41, and near the Mariposa Grove. Enjoy swimming holes in the South Fork of the Merced River which is right down the road, hiking to Chilnualna Falls, the historic Wawona Hotel and golf course, Wawona stables, and Swinging Bridge.

Wawona is an hour drive to the Yosemite Valley attractions.

Guests are not required to make park reservations while staying in the park.

Great cabin in a very nice place.

The property was very spacious and had everything we needed. It was great weather approx 38 deg C when we were there so we used the decking at the back that is shaded. Also great river just a couple of minutes walk away with a fun jump off a rock into a deep pool and some rapids that are fun on a rubber ring. Very handy for Yosemite and even better for Mariposa Grove (sequioua trees). Also the big trees lodge just down the road is a great place to eat. The golf course is fun but be prepared to lose a lot of balls.

So sad to leave!

Another five star review! It was wonderful, exactly as described, plenty of space for a family of four. We loved sitting on the deck and just enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Glacier Point and Sentinel Dome is a great day out, but we also enjoyed just spending time in Wawona. We went on a fascinating morning walk with the local ranger, and the local hotel does a great barbecue on Saturday evenings. We were so sad to leave, we have been lucky enough to come to California for 3 weeks so have been to many places, but Wawona and Yosemite will be fondly remembered for years to come. Only thing that would be useful is instructions for the washer and drier, they are very different from UK machines!

Yosemite in March

Thank you for sharing your lovely home making our first vacation to Yosemite very special. It was nice having a full kitchen complete with hot cocoa and spices. We also appreciated having a washer and dryer to use after a couple of snowy hikes. In the check-in email a lockbox was mentioned and that was a little confusing as we did not find a lockbox. The second email shared a code that worked fine.

Charming stay in Wawona

House has such charm and although it was just a one night stay....we enjoyed the fireplace and thought the pictures did not do justice to the sweet pictures and thought to decor. Lovely kitchen, place was perfect for pets, and very clean. Well worth the money! Nice hike nearby to a gorgeous waterfall.

Delightful

My husband and I brought our college age grandson to visit Yosemite, a wonderful visit enhanced by our stay at Clouds Rest. We arrived the day after the recent blizzard unsure if we could get to the Park. Mary kept us up to date on conditions and when we arrived, we found the driveway cleared and the lights on. The cabin was clean, well stocked in the kitchen and throughout, comfortable and cozy.

I have been coming to Yosemite since childhood and dreamed of someday owning a cabin in Wawona. As a native Californian, we visited Yosemite often as a family. My family hiked, rafted, and spent time together in this magnificent wonderland.

Why they chose this property

We chose this location due to the close proximity to the South Fork of the Merced River. In the Spring, you can hear the river and enjoy the seasonal stream. There are oaks and pines on the property and the location is perfect for relaxing on the deck.

What makes this property unique

The peacefulness of this location and the charm of the cabin makes one feel right at home.
