This privately owned modern apartment is 1 of 15 in a very Spanish style building. Access is by 1 flight of stairs direct from private car park at rear of building. The property is situated about 200 meters from the beach and has a wonderful view of the PRICE REDUCED BY 20% FOR TWO WEEKS THIS JULY. Mediterranean Sea from its front balcony. Its back balcony overlooks the rear garden and private car park. The apartment contains all mod cons you would expect in a luxury self-catering apartment: fully fitted Pine Kitchen, Solid Pine dining table with six Pine chairs, comfortable lounge area fully stocked with reading material for all interests, FREE WI-FI, Sat. TV Video, DVD Player, Hi-Fi System with selection of CD’s, One Master Bedroom containing double bed and single bed, complete with built in wardrobes. Second Bedroom with Pine Bunk Beds, (beds are adult size) plus pull out roller bed for an extra sleeper. Bathroom has a full-size bath and shower unit. Hot water is by electric immersion heater. Hair dryer, Iron and Ironing Board

Location: Best possible location for those holiday makers who do not wish to be sleeping amongst the 18/35 age group! No local Discos and noisy bars! No Busloads of visiting tourists! No Larger Louts/Hen Parties/Stag Nights! Just peace and tranquility - the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing and memorable holiday! Another major bonus is that the proprietor of this apartment lives but 20 minutes away (in Tortosa) and can be called upon for advice locally, including any unforeseen happenings. With 30 years experience in the tourist industry in seven different countries, his ears are sympathetic and understanding and he will do everything in his power to ensure you have a well deserved holiday!

L'AMPOLLA: One of the last remaining upspoilt fishing villages along the East Coast of Spain. Plenty of fresh fish in the local restaurants and good natural food is in abundance. The village of L'Ampolla is located about one kilometer from the Urbanisation of Cap Roig, where the apartment is located. During the summer months, there are various local 'fiestas' where the visiting tourist is invited to join in with the fun! No bull fights, but plenty of bull running!

TARRAGONA: Wonderfully Spanish! Not yet affected by mass tourism, except, perhaps for Port Aventura and Salou. Then again, the kids will want to visit Universal Studios Spanish answer to DisneyWorld! Some may even fancy a trip to Barcelona FC at Camp Nau.Beautiful scenery along the River Ebro Basin with plenty of little villages along the way just waiting to be explored. The Catalans are very welcoming and proud of their own traditions - just watch them working with pottery! The Ebro Delta is famous for its rice growing and protected natural wild life centre.

Very nice owner, near to the sandy and protected beach with a beautiful blue sea, the appartement was tidy and all important furnitures were avaiable. Though there was no air conditioner, the room was not stifling. One negative point for people who need silence is that the restaurant in the ground floor is opened till 2 a.m which is a disturbing factor.

Owner's Response: Lovely to read that this guest was very happy with my apartment and has enjoyed its best features. Some would regard the restaurant at the far end of the building as an advantage because it serves up the best Pizza in the whole of Catalonia! And the noise is not too high and it is not always open until 2am every night, only on Saturdays maybe. It opens for business only from late June to mid September. Bon Apetite!

Definitely intend to return! Our first holiday in Paul's apartment was certainly home from home. Very spacious with everything there you could wish for and Paul's hospitality was second to none. Excellent beach within walking distance. Really peaceful location. Car would be recommended as no supermarkets within walking distance although you can walk around the headland to L'Ampolla which took us approx 40mins. Totally agree with all the previous reviews. Peniscola is a lovely place to visit - approx 45 mins away. Good pizzeria on the corner. We had a very relaxing holiday and look forward to a return visit!

Value for the money

Totally agree with with the reviews posted earlier. A really peaceful location. There's hardly any traffic on the streets of Cap Roig so you can keep the bedroom window open in the night if it gets too hot. This resort is ideal for beach holiday as the nearest beach is just a few minutes walk away but there's plenty to see within 45 minutes driving distance as well: the delta of river Ebro, Salou, two waterparks near Salou, nearby towns etc. The owner Paul is a true gentleman with at your service -attitude. He speaks the local language fluently and that is a considerable advantage in case you end up in a situation where your own English or Catalan doesn't cut the mustard! Car is a must because there are no supermarkets within walking distance. There's a cozy pizzeria at the other end of the building.

We have just returned from staying at this apartment. It was great. The view from the balcony is lovely and the location of the apartment was very quiet and tranquil. The beach is less that a 5 minute stroll and is set in a small bay. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you could want....even UK sky tv. Large apartment with big balcony. Definately recommned it. The owners were very nice too and extremely helpful. Will hopefully stay again.

Apartment in L'ampolla

On our 4th vacation it is and has always been a delight and pleasant experience, the accomadation is very spacious, clean, with all mod cons that expect from your own home, ie , widescreen tv, sky, dvd player, video player, cd player, iron, hairdryer, microwave, i would here all day if i listed everything , it's home from home. The location is very quiet and peaceful with the beach being in view from the balcony , the beach being very secluded with a beach restaurant and pedlos for hire. There is lots of info in the apartment on all the surrounding areas, history , attractions ect, the Peniscula is a must !!!, Salou is only approx 35/40km, my children age 10 and 11 always look forward and enjoy returning to L'ampolla.

'Cap Roig' is situated about 1 km north of the little fishing village of L’Ampolla, which is north of the famous Ebro Delta, on the Costa Dorada. L'Ampolla itself is still unspoilt and is full of family owned restaurants and small shops. The harbour is modern. Its “Nautical Club” has a sailboat school where qualified instructors teach sailing, windsurfing water-skiing and many other water sports. Fishing lovers can fish to their heart’s content in the sea, or on the famous River Ebro nearby. The Urbanisation of “Cap Roig”, where the apartment is located, has its very own golden beach, complete with lifeguards and picturesque bar built into the rocks! Its just a couple of minutes walk from the apartment – near enough to skip home for a siesta! There are many beaches within easy reach of Cap Roig and L’Ampolla also boasts two other beaches of its own.L’Ampolla is the ideal place from which to explore the inland delights of the ‘Ebro Valley’ and the mountainous region of the ‘Terra Alta’.

  • Ideal apartment for two couples, or family of five. Mature sourroundings and a peaceful environment. Cap Roig Urbinasation is very private with its own beach. An ideal base from which to venture out and tour the beautiful sourrounding areas. The harbour village of L'Ampolla is still relatively unspoilt and not affected by 'mass tourism'. No caoch loads of holiday makers here! Just a typical Spanish fishing village. There are numerous scenic routes that can be enjoyed; from the Delta itself, up the River Ebro Valley and through the High Territories of the mountains. Each ancient town has its own magic and appeal, not to mention family restaurants, wines, food produce and ceramics. To the south of L’Ampolla lies the medieval town of Peniscola, where the movie “El Cid” was filmed. North of L’Ampolla lies such well know resorts as Cambrills, Salou & Tarragona, the Provincial capital city. Spain’s very own Universal Studios Port Aventura is but a 45 min drive away!
