About this property

ELSEWHERE by the SEA is a stunning beachfront villa in the upscale gated community of Lagoons, just 20 minutes from the Montego Bay international airport. The beach, pool and expansive outdoor living area make it the perfect location to celebrate a special occasion, gather for a family holiday or indulge in an adult getaway.

5 beautifully decorated bedrooms, each with a private bath, sleep up to 12 guests. Four King bedrooms and one bedroom with a pair of twins (that can be made into a king) comfortably sleep five couples. An additional bunk bed in the twin room can accommodate two additional children or teenagers.

The home is complemented by a large veranda and bar area, perfect for enjoying beautiful sunsets over the Caribbean Sea while sipping a frosty cocktail. Continue your evening with a special dinner prepared by your private chef and served on the breezy veranda, the sandy beach or the dock with the water glistening around you. A magical evening!

The private pool features a Baja deck for tanning and an infinity edge that blends seamlessly into the beautiful Caribbean Sea. The pool deck provides access to a lovely beach that is suitable for watersport activities and comes with complimentary kayaks and paddleboards.

Elsewhere is located in a protected sanctuary with abundant marine life right off the dock. Explore the waters surrounding Elsewhere with our newest addition to the property, Anywhere, a 26 ft power catamaran perfect for sunset cruises, snorkeling trips or a tour of Montego Bay with a stop at Doctor's Cave beach or Margaritaville. A complimentary sunset cruise or reef snorkeling trip with our captain is included for all rentals of seven days or more. Additional trips can be arrange with the captain at a reduced price.

For swimming in the sea, we recommend a short boat or car ride to Doctors Cave Beach or a short walk to the private residence beach (formerly Hard Rock Beach Club).

In addition to your private villa, guests have access to the amenities of the Lagoons including a playground and tennis courts. Within minutes of the villa is the Hard Rock Cafe Beach Club, the Montego Bay Yacht club and the Houseboat Restaurant. You will be a few minutes from five top notch golf courses and all that Montego Bay has to offer!

This property and staff are amazing! This is the first time that we have stayed at a staffed home, and this experience will never be beat. The entire staff at this property is wonderful. They anticipate needs, make you feel at home, suggest activities, keep your home clean, serve you drinks, cook up the best food that you can imagine, help your children snorkel, and become your friends! I wish that we could have them over to the United States and serve them! From the moment that I booked this property, Connie was so helpful. We needed to rent extra highchairs and carseats, and she took care of everything The Chef prepared extra items for the kiddos that she knew that they would enjoy. Their favorite part of the trip was knocking on the door and being served their all-time favorite chocolate cake and ice cream. The property manager stopped by at the beginning and the end of the trip, and told me repeatedly to reach out with any questions that I had. This is a vacation that we will never forget, and hope to do again soon!

Beautiful location and excellent service!

Our family of 10 spent Spring Break week together. We had a great week. Service was excellent! Boat rides to see sunset were amazing! Food was outstanding! Most of us never left the property except by boat or kayak or paddle board!

The perfect choice

Our only disappointment in our review of Elsewhere is our inability to give more than 5 stars. We were 3 families (6 adults, 6 teens) of first time visitors to Jamaica. We were looking for a relaxing place in a beautiful setting with some concern about safety and a desire not to stay in an all-inclusive. There is simply no better home that we could imagine. The home is better than advertised and had everything we could have needed. It was fully appointed, comfortable and well maintained. Communication with Connie was prompt, helpful and started immediately from booking, easing each concern we had (including safety which was a nonissue). We had never stayed in a home with a staff but this group made us feel at home without awkwardness and totally made the experience. As a result, we had a place better serviced than any hotel and a private restaurant with full menu of Jamaican specialties. We were advised on outings and spent a day at Chukka (ATV, horses, zip lines) and deep sea fishing (Just Hook It Charters). Kasandra cooked us fresh tuna and Mahi we caught. Transportation was fully arranged for the week. Extra touches made the week fun for the kids (and adults) including the pool, canoes/paddle boards, and the boat. Boat trips with Kemoy from the house dock for snorkeling, sunset or trip to Doctors Cave were an unexpected but amazing enhancement. After staying at rentals all over the world, Elsewhere tops our list and we plan to come back on our next trip to Jamaica.

Enjoyable Week With Friends

Villa as advertised. Staff was outstanding - several have been there for 10 years. Meals all excellent. Pool was warm. Great “hang-out” areas. All made it a very enjoyable week. Snorkeling off beach was only marginal - but a short trip by boat to the reef was very good. Calm bay for easy kayaking and paddle boarding.

WARMTH!… from the soul, and from the sun!!

PERFECTION!!! Two grandparents, two parents, four sweet grandchildren from eight months to three years old and one au pair…all agreed (and that’s a miracle in itself)… that this was the best vacation we’ve ever taken together! Five stars all the way! The house is beautiful, but more importantly, so welcoming and comfortable and immensely functional. Space to gather together or alone, inside, outside, every little nook and cranny of the house, and the yard! And the view! No words! And we especially loved our boat rides with Kemoy! he took us to so many special places and went fast and slow according to the kids requests. Which brings me to the most exceptional and rare facet of Elsewhere by the Sea, and that is the amazing team who host you, as if you were their most important guests, individually, and as a foursome, they are beyond competent and extraordinarily, compassionate, doing all they can to make everyone happy, and deliciously, sated, and quenched! So to… RAFIC our gentle, quiet caretaker, who took care of everything almost magically, and was always there for us. Dr. DELORES the compassionate philosopher, who kept us clean, and in order and imparted cherished words of wisdom and gentle hugs. And was always ready with a delicate touch and first aid kit. KASANDRA, or as I called her “Chef Kass” cuisine queen extraordinaire who’s inherited and trained talent in the kitchen will be a sweet memory that we bring home along with many extra pounds. KEMOY the best bar, artist, talented table decor master, super Irie Captain on land and sea. Love your sweet hearts! THANK YOU! from the bottom of our heart and souls. You all made sure that “every little thing gonna be (BETTER THAN) OK!
