CLOSE IN waterfront cottage on big water . Lake views from front and back . Boat ramp and 75’ dock and a lakeside fire pit. Near to Ft. Jackson and USC. Fish or swim or watch the wildlife from two upstairs bedroom balconies . Very close to Columbia's numerous historic sites and recreation parks. Three bedrooms with an additional loft sleeping area and two bathrooms. Downstairs bedroom one has private bathroom and Queen bed. Front bedroom two has a twin bed with additional pullout trundle twin mattress underneath Upstairs bedroom has a double bed and private balcony. Upstairs loft sleeping area has a double bed and private balcony. Downstairs has a pullout sofa. Enjoy nearby entertainment options with boat rentals and scenic restaurants. This is a secluded house at the end of a private road in quiet residential area. Pets considered.

Great location

Place could really use some updating but you cannot beat the location. Don’t forget to bring toilet paper.

This home is not as described!! It is in very poor condition! Needs to be cleaned and maintained!

We arrived to a dirty refrigerator, stove, floors , rugs and furniture! The home smells musty and moldy! I asked for some money back and got it but it was not enough, we paid way too much for what we got!! This house is in bad shape!!! The property is a mess, the septic system overflows daily, the flies are terrible, because of the sewage and nasty trash cans in the front yard!! The mattress are disgusting and uncomfortable, the mattress pads dirty! The rugs filthy, we had to wash the bathroom rugs, when I asked the owner about it, she said that she had not washed them! There are dead and live roaches, not Palmetto bugs, everywhere! The floors in the home are falling apart and have nails sticking out. The closets don’t have flooring, just dirty plywood and nasty old carpet! The home is musty and dirty! The railings and stairs are sticky. The window sills are filthy and full of dirt and dead bugs. I had to clean the refrigerator and showed the owner how dirty it is, the stove is also disgustingly filthy. The ice maker doesn’t work properly and the refrigerator is set at high and still not very cold, probably because it needs to be pulled out and cleaned! The outside of home needs cleaning badly!! A lot of mold, wood rot, dirt and cobwebs! The fan in the porch is missing a blade and can’t be used. The yard is a mess, poison ivy, trees and bushes need trimming, grass needs mowing and the trash cans need to be cleaned!! The lake is beautiful the dock is okay except the top step on the ladder is about to break. There are nails sticking out on all the sides of the dock. Considering we had a nice stay, spent most of the time in the water. This property really should be checked, there are many safety concerns that should be addressed such as open vents in closet floors, bugs must and mold in crawlspace. It needs extensive work and cleaning!

Our family and friends have enjoyed this lake house as a quiet retreat from the rush and hurry of running a small business . Although the house is small and not new compared to many newer houses, we loved being able to view the lake from all rooms and the secluded
feeling of being at the end of a private road with lots of trees and a nice yard for games. We also loved being so close to Columbia we could drive up for a quick swim or lunch.

Why they chose this property

We are on the main part of the lake.with year round deep water. Close to Ft Jackson and the greatest soldiers in the world and USC and downtown Columbia with its lovely vast aray of dining and other activities..Monday - Friday are bookable..

What makes this property unique

Beautiful lake views from all sides . Close to everything and yet secluded at the end of a dead end rd on a peninsula. 75' boat dock and a concrete loading ramp on site, Fire pit for winter star gazing
