Set in three acres amongst WOODLAND and ROLLING HILLS , the special atmosphere of this PRIVATELY OWNED HAMLET guarantees you a relaxing and carefree holiday.

Each DETACHED COTTAGE(gite) has its original farmhouse features with huge granite fireplaces, massive oak beams & lovely old country furniture. The cottages are all very different & each has its own PRIVATE GARDEN area, terrace and BBQ area. The hamlet is ideal for GROUPS of up to 23 FAMILY & FRIENDS.

ENJOY THE LUXURY of renting EXCLUSIVE USE of the whole hamlet. One of the dining rooms can be rearranged so everyone can eat together. In the grounds, there is a 11m x 7m secure HEATED POOL with huge sunbathing deck. There is a large play area with TRAMPOLINE (with safely net), swings, sandpit, boules, table tennis, badminton, golf net GAMES ROOM & CINEMA ROOM with 55" screen. The hamlet is EXTREMELY CHILD FRIENDLY & parents can relax, knowing their children are safe to play freely without supervision.

Free WiFi access is available for keeping in touch, and planning your excursions.

Le Four (The Oven - because the traditional Breton bread oven is directly outside) is very cosy with an open plan sitting room and lovely comfy seating around the huge, granite fireplace with a woodburner. English Satellite TV, DVD player and stereo CD/radio/cassette player. The dining area seats six comfortably. A new kitchen has been installed, fully equipped with gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Downstairs cloakroom with WC and handbasin. WiFi is available in the cottage for keeping in touch, and planning your excursions.

Upstairs, there is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, and one singe bedroom which leads via a stable door to the rear patio. A newly installed bathroom includes a bath / shower handbasin and WC.

High quality bed linen, pillows,duvets and towels are provided free of charge. Electric central heating throughout.

Outside, the patio is well equipped with garden furniture, chiminea and barbecue

About the Owner

Lucile is French and Barry is English. We came across Le Gohic by accident in 2010 and started an adventure that we are loving. Our grown up family in the UK visit as often as they can, so there are not too many things that we miss from our many years spent in the UK.

Le Gohic lies down a long private drive in quiet and tranquil countryside, amongst green rolling hills and lush wooded valleys. However, the hamlet is not at all isolated and there is an abundance of picturesque towns and villages close by. Just a leisurely stroll down the lane is the local bar and creperie where you will receive a very warm welcome. The village of Quistinic with boulangerie, chemist, mini-grocers, post office and bars is five kms away. The nearest town, Baud, has a larger choice of shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and banks, and is an easy fifteen minute drive. The bigger town of Pontivy is 20 mins away and the modern city of Lorient, is 25 mins drive. The nearest recommended sandy beach is just 30 mins away at Port Louis. A bit further on, you will find a more a more abundant choice of beautiful white sandy beaches, fashionable seaside resorts and secluded rocky coves.

Five minutes drive from Le Gohic is the River Blavet, beautifully quiet and hardly used. Here you will find some of the best coarse fishing in Brittany. If you prefer walking or cycling, you can follow the river towpath for many miles, stopping at the occasional bar or cafe along the way.
