A fantastic holiday for the family

  • 5 of 5

We could not have been happier with our stay in Massugas. David and Sue were incredibly welcoming, kind and generous and they did everyting and far more to make sure that we had a wonderful holiday. From the welcome that we received on the first evening to a chat on the odd occasion when they dropped by to check everything was OK, they were the perfect hosts. This is a great house for a family (or for two families!) and it was a lovely place to unwind and enjoy hours by the pool, and then when it got a little cooler, exploring the region. Thank you David and Sue for helping us with our holiday so much. Hope we will see you again. Alastair, Hannah, Milly and Martha x

Amazing Farmhouse in Wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

We were met with a warm welcome by owners Susan and David who took time to answer all our questions about the farmhouse and location. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise. The farm house was full of character, so comfortable and homely, with a well stocked kitchen and unique, quirky features .A well maintained and spacious garden and a good sized, clean pool was perfect for our active family and we made good use of the table tennis when the weather let us down.A wine tasting visit to Chateaux Fernand in St Emil ion was great fun. Would recommend this to anyone who was looking for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful location, which is in easy reach by car to many places of interest. Wish we had booked longer than 7 days but made some very treasured memories with our family. Thankyou for inviting us into your home Sue and David - we wish you well In all you do 😄

Best holiday for years

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful house, beautiful pool, beautiful region, beautiful weather. Our holiday here was blissful and we all relaxed properly for what seemed like the first time in years. Sue and David have thought of everything you could possibly need and created a real home from home - if our home was a luxurious gite in stunning countryside under blue skies! Comfy beds, sofas to snooze on, poolside furniture and inflatables; well-equipped kitchen (thanks for the generously-stocked fridge on our arrival!), barn full of kids' toys and plenty of friendly advice about nearby places of interest. We are already saving for next year. Thank you!

A truly fabulous holiday home

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a weeks stay at this gorgeous house.

It really has everything. We travelled as a family of 7. There were 5 adults and 2 children (ages 6 and 5) the children loved the grounds and the pool.. everything from swimming to trampolining, to chicken chasing! Listen out for the local goat bells, in the early evening, as they are herded down the outside lane.

The house is very large and accommodated us all very comfortably. It is equipped with everything that you could possibly need and more! It really is the best rental holiday home that we have stayed in...home or abroad. David and Sue really went the extra mile to ensure that we had everything we needed. The welcome pack far exceeded our expectations. Thank you.

The house is very well located to explore the many beautiful villages. The Montecrat night market is not to be missed, as well as the canoeing on the Dordogne river.

Overall, an amazing holiday made even more special by this fabulous farmhouse.

Thank you Sue and David

Family friendly property in a great location

  • 5 of 5

This was our first holiday with a 12 week old baby, and we has a holiday to remember. After excellent communication with the owner about what baby items would be provided we only had to take her buggy. Everything else was provided making it a stress free and enjoyable first holiday. The heated pool was perfect for a little one which made great memories. The house is also situated in the middle of lots of good days out and close enough to the airport. The owners made us welcome and suggested places to go that we enjoyed. Nights sat on the patio with a bbq and glass of local wine topped off most days. We will be returning and recommending this property to our friends.

Wonderful place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This period farmhouse is a wonderful place. It just has a wonderful feel to it, which makes it such a relaxing place to stay. Its just how you imagine a French farmhouse to be. It's a large and very old quirky property with large garden and salt water (not that awful chlorine) pool, which is big enough to swim in. It has crisp white bed linen and towels and very sharp kitchen knifes (its the little things that also make this place great). The owners Sue and David are lovely. Sue arranged for a fascinating visit to the boutique vineyard next door, which is definitely worth a visit. Our days were spent cycling around the amazing countryside (it has excellent cycle routes for road cyclists from the farmhouse), dipping into the pool, cooking on the BBQ, eating outside and drinking the Rosé from the local vineyard - perfect.
