About the property

Le Petit Village

Coach House and Spring Cottage are two homes from home in the heart of the Yonne region of Burgundy. Each rental has it's own garden & orchard, shared use of a heated swimming pool , wifi and fresh croissants delivered to your door! They are both open all year and are equally perfect for autumn and winter breaks as both cottages have heating throughout and a wood burning stove. Perfect for families, friends or couples!

Coach House and Spring Cottage form part of the overall property called Le Petit Village which consists of the our home, and the two cottages. All three properties are set within a large enclosed courtyard where you can also park your car, making Le Petit Village an excellent holiday for families with young children. As we live on site, we are here to welcome you and to help you with any everyday enquiries. We deliver your morning bread, but we will also leave you alone to enjoy your holiday!

A car is necessary as distances between places are quite long, there is no public transport and the nearest shops are 5km away.

There is shared use of an outdoor heated swimming pool in an enclosed corner of the the grounds of Le Petit Village. Free Wifi is also available. We arrange a daily morning delivery of fresh bread and pastries direct to your door!

We're open all year round! We have two friendly cats and an affectionate Border Collie and your pets are also welcome at a small extra charge. Although there are no shops in our village ( apart from our little gift shop and tea room!) we organise a daily bread delivery hung on the door of your cottage in time for breakfast!

BED & BREAKFAST: Subject to availability, if you're just passing through on the way to the Alps or the south coast of France, we can offer bed and breakfast and an evening meal.

We are stone's throw from the Burgundy canal which is wonderful for cycling and long walks in the wide open peaceful countryside. In the summer, with the cottages are covered with Virginia creeper and surrounded by flowers, they are romantic, very comfortable and well equipped and with free 24/7 wifi access throughout the property.

The surrounding area is not only rural tranquility, but has some world class heritage nearby; the UNSECO Abbey De Fontenay, numerous chateaux, two of the "plus beaux villages de France" of Noyers-sur-Serein and Flavigny, plus the vineyards of Chablis and Cote D'Or and Cote De Nuits all a short drive away.

Sincere thanks for having given us the 'loan' of Spring Cottage for this week. It is a charming delightful place to spend a holiday. The warmth of your welcome and your interest in our welfare has been greatly appreciated. We loved visiting various places of interest you recommended and will go home with many happy memories.

'Lovely cottage, lovely weather, very relaxing time. The wineries were great and the little villages quaint. Great place to come to from the other side of the world. Helena and Moe are the perfect hosts.'

'A very secluded and picturesque cottage, perfect for those looking for a quiet getaway. Many thanks to Helena and Moe for a fantastic time, reluctant to leave. Thank you'.

The Yonne region of Burgundy has something for everyone; beautiful landscapes, great cycling and walking, world class wine, a rich and vibrant history and traditional cuisine; and not forgetting Burgundy's famous white Charolais cows! The countryside is a mixture of vast open fields of wheat, barley and sunflowers, rolling hills, large forests, vineyards, rivers and canals. Fulvy is a charming medieval village and provides an ideal base for exploring the region. The famous vineyards of Chablis and historic chateaux and abbeys all within easy reach. There are lots of good family friendly restaurants in the area. The Burgundy canal and the Armancon river are just a 3min walk away from Le Petit Village, ideal to have a picnic, paddling or for long walks or cycling. There are lots of activities for children in high season including horse riding, swimming and kayaking in the river. Weekly wine tastings are organised at Le Petit Village in the summer months and we can also give you lots of recommendations for local producers.

There is a daily morning delivery of bread and pastries to the door of your cottage.

Lovely home in Burgundy

  • 5 of 5

We spent several days with Nick and Annabella while attending a wedding in Burgundy. Annabella kept us supplied with goodies from the local boulangerie along with homemade jam. There was a table in our private garden and we had access to the swimming pool. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Our First Trip To Burgandy...

  • 4 of 5

After many years enjoying French holidays without a pet we thought that finding a good standard dog friendly place to stay would be difficult. How wrong were we. The Coach House at Le Petit Village is a wonderful high quality cottage with all the necessary home comforts that you would want from a holiday let. Annabella and Nick ensured we recieved the warmest of welcomes and gave us good advice of places to visit within the area. The cottage had everything needed including a lovely large private garden for relaxing and enjoying evening barbeques. The pool area is of a high standard and very child friendly. The Coach house in Le Petit Village is very well placed for visiting local places of interest including Chablis, local markets and vineyards. We would definately recommend a visit to Le Petit Village and hope to return one day.

Sehr schöner, entspannter Frankreich-Urlaub

  • 4 of 5

WLAN kostenlos - tolles Angebot.

  • 3 of 5
