History and location:
The 'Lesecafé' was once actually a café in the former GDR, but later burned out completely to the foundations and the roof. In 2004 the complex was renovated by the new 8 owners and the historical view of the striking building with the large porthole windows was preserved. The reading café is an individual building, which characterizes the cityscape of the Baltic seaside resort of Rerik and has been rebuilt as a comfortable holiday resort in an excellent location not far from the idyllic Salzhaff. The special architecture, which looks like a fan when viewed from above, enables the apartments to face the south-facing south, which is unusual for the Baltic Sea, to the large terraces with the garden in front - with large windows on two levels. The structure of the apartments resembles comfortable 2-storey terraced houses.
