Ideally positioned to explore Provence and Cote d'Azur

Very pleasant Provencal villa at walking distance from Seillans, voted one of the prettiest little villages of France. Lovely views over hillside and valley. Quiet, but close to the mondain Côte d'Azur. The villa is set in grounds of 2500 sqm with a view of terraced olive groves. Large 10 x 5 m private swimming pool. This quiet location (no through road) offers all you need for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

The property is at walking distance from all facilities for daily needs, bakery, supermarket, chemist's. A bit further afield larger supermarkets can be found. Privileged situation: near Grasse, Cannes, not so far St Tropez, Massif Esterel, near lake St Cassien, Gorges du Verdon. The mediterrean is not far away and a day on the beachis lovely. Close by is the famous international golf and country club Terre Blanche in the neighbouring village of Fayence/Tourrettes. Also in Fayence recently a spa centre has opened.

The villa: Les Oliviers was built in 2000 and is a modern, but charming Provencal villa. Located just outside the little village, it takes only ten minutes in the morning to walk to the baker, where you can buy fresh baguettes and croissants. The covered terrace is ideal for al fresco eating, while you enjoy the wonderful views over hillside and valley.

A summer kitchen with a stone barbecue has been built to add to outdoor living. A lovely spot to relax and unwind in and ideally placed to explore this part of the Var.

The region: There is always something going on somewhere and you can usually find a village market or a shady cafe/restaurant. Fayence has a market three times a week (mornings) and the market at Le Muy, 30 kms away, is worth the trip. Grasse, Mougins and Draguignan are within an easy drive and there are some fine beaches and good seafood restaurants along the coast.

Nature is very varied, with woods, lakes, hills and mountains and is excellent for walking.

Further afield: A good day out will take you to the stunning Verdon Gorges, or to Moustiers Saint Marie, famous for its pottery. Saint Tropez and Nice, with its wonderful Friday morning flower market in the old part of the town, are an hour or so from here.

Why Elizabeth chose Esterel - Fayence

We have been looking several years before finding a plot of land in the South of France. We had our house built more than 15 years ago and are still very happy with it.

What makes this villa unique

Les Oliviers (The Olive Trees) has an extraordinary view over the hillside and valley. In the evening you will see the lights of Fayence, the neigbouring village. It is peaceful, but close enough to the village to walk to the shops and restaurants.

Hebben genoten van jullie huis en omgeving en alle dagen wel in het bijzonder, van het schitterende panorama vanaf het terras.

Ook mooi weer gehad met bijna alle dagen zon, alleen het eerste weekend, zondag, maandagmorgen, regen.

Alle dagen gezwommen en buiten kunnen ontbijten. Heel fijn.

Aantal mooie wandelingen gemaakt in de omgeving van Seillans, (Boekje met rondwandelingen gehaald bij de Toerist info.)

en natuurlijk Seillans, Fayence/Tourrettes bezocht, werkelijk schitterende plaatsjes.

Kortom t.z.t. zeker voor ons voor herhaling vatbaar.

Wonderful holiday!

We had a splendid week in this lovely villa. We walked to the village every day to do some shopping or sightseeing. And of course to the restaurants!

The house was very well maintained. And we

must not forget to mention the beaufitul pool and the outstanding views. So relaxing to sit on the terrace at night and look into the distance.

Hope to return one day!

A villa and a stay not to be missed!!!!!

This villa was way beyond our expectations! We were visiting Provence for the first time. We used the villa as a home base with day trips exploring the neighboring villages and the Mediterranean Seaside. The villa and pool were spotless. We enjoyed many evenings on the covered terrace and used the barbecue several times. The views over the hillside and valley are truly magnificent. The location is central to many sights and activities.. Thank you for a wonderful vacation site!

This is a very cosy villa. Seillans is a beautiful unspoilt old litlle village and the surrounding area is lovely, with lots of walks. Dining in the village square was magnificent, what an atmosphere! I would not hesitate to use this villa again and I already miss sitting on the terrace, watching the view.

Such a nice house!

Sehr schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage mit herrlichem Ausblick

Wir waren als vierköpfige Familie in Seillans. Wir haben in dem wunderschönen Haus eine Woche im Mai 2016 und zwei Wochen im August 2016 verbracht und die Zeit dort sehr genossen. Der Ausblick ist einfach genial und das Haus liegt mitten in der Natur. Die überdachte

Terrasse eignet sich zum Verweilen und wir haben auch den Grill (mit kleiner Sommerküche) ausgiebig genutzt. Liegen und Sonnenschirme sind ausreichend vorhanden. Wer Ruhe und Erholung schätzt ist hier genau richtig.

Das Haus, der Garten und der Pool (wöchentliche Reinigung durch Reinigungsservice) sind sehr gepflegt und sauber und auch bei der Ausstattung fehlt es an nichts. Die Bettwäsche wird gestellt, was wir sehr praktisch fanden. Bei Fragen oder Problemen sind die Ansprechpartner vor Ort immer zur Stelle und sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank an Heidi und Maurice.

Auch die Vermieter sind per email gut zu erreichen und sehr nett und bemüht, dass der Urlaub einmalig wird. Mit den Reiseunterlagen geben sie auch noch viele Tipps über die Gegend und die Veranstaltungen vor Ort.

Den idyllischen Ort Seillans kann man gut zu Fuß erreichen. Dort gibt es mehrere Restaurants, Bäcker und sonstige Geschäfte. Man kann von dort aus auch sehr gut die umliegenden Bergdörfer erkunden und auf einen Kaffee verweilen.

Trotz der ruhigen Lage erreicht man mit dem Auto sämtliche Einkaufsläden oder die typischen Märkte in den Dörfern ringsum in kurzer Zeit und kann viele Unternehmungen in der Gegend machen. In der Nähe liegt auch ein toller See. Ebenso ist das Meer und größere Städte in 30-40 min. zu erreichen.

Für Familien mit kleinen Kindern ist es eher nicht zu empfehlen, da das Grundstück nach unten hin offen ist und etwas abfällt. Für unsere Kinder (10 und 14) war es ideal, besonders den Pool haben sie ausgiebig genutzt und wir natürlich auch.

Wir können das Ferienhaus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit dort und kommen gerne mal wieder.

Notes:
The villa is in a typical Provencal style, with tiled floors. The entrance opens onto a staircase leading to the first floor, which has two twin bedrooms and a shower room and separate WC. The living room/dining room opens into a lovely large rustic country kitchen, which is equipped with everything needed to make life easy, including a hob, microwave and dishwasher. The utilities room has a washing machine and clothes dryer. The covered terrace has views over hillside and valley towards Fayence in the distance. The living has a sofa and armchairs, a TV with DVD player and a log burning fireplace. The third bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, is on the ground floor. All bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans and roller mosquito screens to ensure a good night's sleep! The layout of the house and grounds is not so suitable for toddler-age children, as the pool is not fenced. Children who are able to swim are very welcome.
