Beautiful apartment right next to the Las Palmeras pool so really convenient. Has a great off living room terrace, plus a balcony off the master bedroom with cafe stule table & chairs for 2. And to cap it all, a large roof terrace - ideal for parties! Great accommodation bright, all mod cons - Wifi, cable TV, DVD player, music system, books, games, well equipped kitchen. Linens & towels provided.
Can be booked as a stand alone 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment or in conjunction with our downstairs apartment; between them, they can accommodate up to 13 people ( 9 on 'real' beds, 4 on sofa beds) in 4/5 bedrooms.
Las Palmeras 23 & 25 , LM Club
Las Palmeras is a small, friendly cluster of 30 apartments in the middle of the resort, 5 mins walk from the Tennis Centre, shops, restaurants & right next to the popular Par 47 pitch & putt course. These 2 storey apartments are built in typical Spanish villa style set in beautifully mature, well tended gardens surrounding a secluded private pool.
Our very pretty ground floor apartment is right next to the Las Palmeras pool to which it has direct access (you can almost dive in!) from a covered terrace with table/chairs/BBQ. The upper floor apartment has a terrace - also with table,chairs & BBQ and an awning for protection - with wonderful views not only over the pool but also to the lake & even as far as the Mar Menor; the master bedroom also has a small balcony with a cafe style table & chairs. They share a fabulous large private roof terrace - great for parties! The well designed apartments are light & spacious & have marble floors, air-conditioning & ceiling fans throughout. The living/dining rooms are colourful and fun with TVs, DVD players, music systems and sofa beds. Each apartment has 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms which all have excellent storage. The large well equipped kitchens offer all mod cons - fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, oven & hobs, microwave, kettle, toaster & coffee maker. There's excellent free Wifi throughout as well as cable TV; cable channels include Skysports, BBC & ITV.
Easy parking and easy walk to the tennis centre, plus many shops, bars & restaurants.
La Manga Club facilities: La Manga has something for everybody. Play golf on one of the 3 championship courses or tennis on one of the 28 multi-surface courts at the Tennis Centre where there are tournaments and tuition available. Rent mountain bikes, go horse riding, or the whole family can play pitch 'n putt on the Par 47 or crazy golf by the Oasis swimming pool. Or just relax by the Las Palmeras pool or the larger Oasis pool. For young children there is the crèche / mini-club and babysitting, if required. Enjoy the spectacular scenery - especially at sunset - of the winding road down to the Club's private cove at La Cala with its wonderful restaurant,
The Principe Felipe Hotel has a piano bar, live music, nightclub & casino. There are several restaurants, bars, a pub and disco on the Club, 2 supermarkets, several boutiques, chemists, doctor, 24 hr security, banks, estate agents and telephone exchange with Internet access.
Outside the Club: The safe, shallow, warm waters of the Mar Menor are just 10 mins away by car & offer miles of sandy beaches; you can hire a pedalo, go wind-sailing or dive in the Mediterranean (PADI courses available). Visit the picturesque fishing village of Cabo de Palos (10 mins by car), eat at the restaurants around the harbour and combine it with a trip to the Sunday market (the largest around). Visit the beaches of the Calblanque National Park (10 mins by car). Walk from the Club to the Portman Guns and other spectacular scenery. Visit the ancient port of Cartagena or see the Cathedral at Murcia. Shop at Spain's largest department store El Corte Ingles (in both Murcia & Cartagena) as well as the local 'ceramica' shops - real treasure troves!
Eating out/eating in: There's a vast choice to suit all tastes and budgets. Within the Club itself there are over 20 restaurants - from La Cala (the Club's stunning beach side restaurant), Victor's International dining, Tapas bars, Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Asian, Mexican to Sam's American diner and Tom's Pizza and Pasta - these last 2 offer take away service too. In addition, there are some excellent restaurants in the nearby towns, eg Los Belones, El Algar & the wonderful fish speciality restaurants in nearby Cabo de Palos harbour. You can also lunch in the informal restaurants at the seaside villages next to the Mar Manor, e.g. Mar de Cristal.
If you prefer to eat in (perhaps a BBQ?), there are 2 Supermarkets at the Club plus many more in the local towns of Los Belones and Cabo de Palos and La Manga strip, plus hypermarkets in Murcia and Cartagena. Wonderful local markets with fresh produce are available too.

We first visited La Manga in 1998, fell in love & bought this apartment. Have never regretted our decision even tho we've been based in Asia, USA & now back to Asia since 1999, so it's not on our doorstep!
It's relaxing & fun to be there - the minute we enter the apartment all the cares of the outside world seem to slip away! There are great sports facilities in the impeccably kept Resort & we can walk to the tennis centre in about 5 minutes.
We also enjoy going to the beaches (there are 3 very different kinds within 10 minutes drive), exploring the historical cities of Cartagena & Murcia as well the local villages and their markets; Cabo de Palos on a Sunday must not be missed! Our younger son can never wait to get back there and our older kids - now grown up - are enjoying bringing their own families there now , especially as we're right next to the pool.
In fact we love it so much, that we bought the apartment dire fly upstairs in 2013.

Location, location, location. Need to run back from the pool for a drink/more sunblock/new book etc? Easy access straight onto the terrace.
Also in great condition, looked after really well both by ourselves & our wonderful local agents.

You can rent upstairs/downstairs or both! Great for families, great for groups of golfers or tennis players or other sporty folk. Wonderfully relaxing for those who just want to 'chill'!

Lovely well equipped apartment
Great layout and we enjoyed using the balcony overlooking the pool. It was very quiet and few apartments were occupied. Not sure what noise level from pool would be like at peak times.
Only downside at all was the level of cleanliness when we first arrived . Both toilets needed cleaning and one of the sinks. Floor also needed vacuuming in corners.
No internet access on Day 1, but sorted by following morning.
Apartment very well equipped - couldn't think of anything extra that we would have needed.

My daughters and I had the most beautiful week in this little bit of heaven , the apartment is home from home , the pool was very clean and quiet and we were within walking distance of all facilities. I have stayed in La Manga many times over the years but I will certainly return to Jane's apartment, she made it all so easy . All I can say is that we LOVED IT !
Great apartment, great location.
This is a lovely well equipped apartment, everything about the listing is accurate. The property was clean and well looked after. Jane was very helpful with local information and we had a great week's stay. Las Palmeras has it's own shared pool which was fairly quiet, and is centrally located for most other attractions/restaurants that La Manga Club has to offer. We would definitely recommend the apartment. We found that eating out off-site in Los Belones, or on La Mange Strip was preferable in quality and price.
Stylish & homely apartment near to the tennis.
Beautiful 2 bed 2 bath apartment with lovely vaulted ceiling overlooking the communal pool and gardens - very peaceful. It has a large terrace with barbecue and a roof terrace with far reaching views to the coast. The open plan interior was stylishly decorated and the kitchen was very well equipped. It was only a short walk to the tennis centre which my son really enjoyed. The owner was lovely to deal with and I received detailed information which was really helpful prior to our stay. We would love to come back again soon.
Wonderful apartment, amazing setting, loved it.
We stayed in apt 25 in the Palmeras Community of La Manga Club from 28 July 2014 for 1 week. Was armed with directions, information about the apt and area prior to arrival. (thx to Jane the owner). Had seen the photos on line, however they did not do justice to the apartment, which was beautiful. Two great size bedrooms, two bathrooms, our en-suite marble and palatial, kitchen area well equipped with everything you could need, lounge area comfortable with tv, dvd, games and books. For me though, the main balcony overlooking the pool was splendid, could and did sit there often looking out to the beautiful scenery and greenery of La Manga Resort and to Mar el Manor. Loved the community and private pool area, other residents very friendly, and brilliant to have pool on your doorstep - could pop up to apt for lunch, cold drinks etc...
As for La Manga Resort, so much to do, golf, tennis, range of other sports if you are so inclined, great for the big and little boy, I'm not quite so sporty but loved the 5 star environment, manicured gardens, peaceful location. Did a little exploring to Mar de Cristal, nice promenade and good beach for our 7 year old as waters shallow, and also explored Portman beach in vicinity and la Cava which both had splendid scenery, although the climb down and up quite steep.
Jane recommended we took a car, which was great, roads were good to navigate & approx 30 min. drive from Murcia St. Javier Apt. Did get lost once ended up on La Manga Strip (as followed signposts to La Manga! - easy to get confused). Have to say not impressed by the Strip, very built up and commercial and was glad to get back home to our lovely apartment.
Don't think we even scratched the surface of activities and restaurants within the resort itself, the Bellaluz Plaza was good as lots of little (and big) ones congregated in the evening, had little supermarket, Scotsman Bar amongst other bars and eateries, a lovely ice cream shop too. The Si Bar was also great if you have children, trendy bar and restaurant and can overlook the little ones playing in the play area outside.
On the Sunday went to Cabo de Palo, which had a big market, great for a browse and gift shopping.
Can't thank Jane enough for the wonderful service she provided, including responding to endless questions from me including sourcing Lucozade for my partner who is diabetic (in shop in Bellaluz). Thx again, will recommend to friends and hope to return.
Beautiful apartment in a great location!
This is a wonderful holiday apartment within La Manga Club,close to all the restaurants,bars and sports facilities.The apartment itself is well presented and clean, with great interiors and fabulous views of the Mar Menor from the roof terrace.
Having the pool so close by is great for children! I would highly recommend this apartment and look forward to our next family holiday there.

Activity and Interests
The La Manga Club is conveniently located with motorway access from Murcia Airport (San Javier) 20 minutes away and from Alicante (60 minutes). From the La Manga Club you can look across the golf courses to the Mar Menor (inland sea) and the Mediterranean. In the immediate area are the villages of Los Belones and Cabo de Palos, 5-10 minutes away by car. 10 minutes away are the beaches of the Calblanque National Park. 20 minutes away is the ancient city and port of Cartagena. Murcia, the regional capital, is about 40 minutes away. There are many coves to visit along the coast and walks to suit all levels in the foothills around the club. There are numerous bars and restaurants both on the club and in the surrounding area to suit all tastes. You can choose to relax on the club, visit the local area, or a combination of both. The La Manga Club really does have something for everyone.

Golf: La Manga, with its mild winters & less than 12 inches of rain a year, is one of Europe's premier golfing destinations. Although the golf courses are always in demand, what is so noticeably different about La Manga Club is that there is none of the overcrowding so often seen at golf clubs on the Costa del Sol, for instance. Its 3 Championship Courses offer a comprehensive range of activities to golfers of all abilities, from the Par 47 Pitch and Putt course to the redesigned (2004/5) Championship South Course. The facilities are excellent, suiting all abilities & ages. The comfortable clubhouse includes a spacious bar & restaurant, plenty of space in locker rooms & an extensive pro shop where clubs, shoes, buggies etc. are available for hire, along with spike change. Just beyond the caddy master's building is the golf academy which is overseen by the pro & which includes the latest state-of-the-art video technology for swing analysis. Nearby is a 90-bay floodlit driving range & a practice putting green which seems to be prepared just as well as the greens of the 3 Championship courses. Additionally there are 2 chipping greens, a practice bunker, resident professionals available, & competitions 3 times a week.
Soft spikes are required on the 3 main courses & an official handicap certificate is required for the South Course (not required for the North or West Courses). Las Palmeras residents qualify for 50% discount on public rates.

La Manga “strip” – if you have time it's worth driving the 30 kilometres or so to the end of this strip – interesting sights en route inc mud bathers !

Cartagena & Murcia have large stores eg el Corte Ingles, also lots of interesting small shops. Ceramica shops in Cabo de Palos are fun. On the practical side, there are 2 supermarkets in the resort – small, friendly one in Bellaluz square and a larger one, El Arbol, in the Las Sabinas shopping centre (opposite Repsol petrol station) open 9-9 every day ex Sundays & fiesta days when opening hours are 10-2. For emergencies, the Repsol station has some groceries & is open until midnight.
As above, the resort and area has tons to offer – apart from the obvious golf & tennis, there’s mountain biking, horseriding, waterspouts at the Mar Menor, gokarting on the main road near Cabo de Palos. Variety of beaches - cove, sandy strip & the wonderful wonderful bird sanctuary with many small beaches at Calblanque.

- Poolside apartment on first floor with great views. The lovely terrace overlooks the pool & has a built in BBQ, table & chairs plus good storage. The master bedroom has its own small balcony with cafe table & chairs. There is a large roof terrace for use by both this apartment & its 'twin' downstairs: it's a great party place especially in the evenings & it's also really useful for drying laundry during the day as it has full sunlight. The accommodation consists of a spacious living/dining room, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with 4 'real' beds plus a sofa bed (in the living room) thus 6 can be slept tho 4 or 5 is even more comfortable. There is a modern kitchen with a wide range of kitchen appliances inc dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster etc.
