Subject: Mullins Holiday/70th birthday
We have returned from our wonderful holiday and I must thank you for all your help which made things go so well. I was so beautifully relaxed by the end of our stay that we packed and left and it was only the next day when we arrived in Saint Lucia that I realised I had not written any comments in your visitors book!
I am so sorry about that as I wanted to express our pleasure at the holiday we had had and the fact that your staff there were so good! We also went on a cruise as you recommended but could not manage to make any contact with Calypso Cruises. We went with GoodTimes instead and they were excellent, taking enormous care of us, and ensuring we had a super experience. They picked us up by car and we went to Paynes Bay I think to set off but they dropped us off back at Mullins Bay which was very useful.
We got on really well with the people at Mullins Beach Bar, had two super meals at Juju’s, and two divine meals at The Fishpot amongst others that you had recommended. Our taxi driver to the Fishpot even sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to me in his taxi when we arrived home- a surreal experience that one!!!
The house was delightful, the piano, amazingly in such a warm climate, in tune, and Glenys provided us with a wonderful meal at the start. I am very impressed by the way you have everything organised. Andrew and Oneta were very helpful and kept a constant eye on things.
I do hope you will have some equally enjoyable holidays there yourselves soon!
With best wishes,
Excellent accommodation, really comfortable with very nice staff.
Top 3 things were:
The beautiful tropical gardens with plenty of Monkey spottings.
Lovely beaches - esp Mullins & Enterprise beach
The catamaran trip and swimming with the giant turtles.
Definitely coming back. Thank you Andrew, Oneta & Claudette.
This was our second time staying at Mullins Bay House, we loved it so much the first time it was an easy decision to book the house again.
There were 12 in our group, age range from 6 to 80 years old. The estate is brilliant for family groups, flexible accommodation, generous outside space with beautifully kept gardens and a large pool. The house is clean, comfortable and Andrew and Juanita looked after us very well.
Mullins Bay House is a great base to explore the Island from. Everything is within easy reach, from the beautiful West coast beaches to the rugged and wild East coast. We highly recommend Calypso Cruises run by Nick & and his father Val Knowles. They offer several packages, there's a fantastic 5 hour lunch cruise where you can swim with turtles, snorkel and explore shipwrecks......with unlimited food and drink! A hit with both young and old. We also did the 3 hour sunset cruise this time which was fantastic too.
There are a large and varied range of eateries to choose from on the Island but if you want to eat 'in' the local fish markets are great offering lovely fresh fish (and advise on how best to cook it) and the vegetable stalls by the roadside offer a huge variety of fresh local produce.
So if you want a completely chilled out holiday lazing on the beach or by the pool with a rum punch in hand or a more active holiday exploring the Island, look no further.
Thank you Simon and Sarah for opening up your house for us to enjoy...again!
The home was just as described or even better. There is plenty of space for privacy and lots of room for group gatherings. We ate all our meals on the spacious back porch. Had many fun activities in the very large back yard....even a synchronized swimming show by three 'ladies' in the pool. This is a great spot for family vacations. We had 13 and plenty of room. Andrew was terrific. Always available for our needs. Pretty Mullins beach just a very short walk from the house!
The Estate is beautiful. The gardens are full of mango, coconut and lime trees and even an Avocado bush.
I loved the fragrant scent of the Frangipani tree wafting across the gardens - if only I could have one of these in my garden here in England!
The property is very spacious, comfortable and well kept by the staff who were very helpful and interesting to talk to about what the island was like when my father lived here. Barbados was even more special than I expected. Thank you so much. Rosemary.
The setting is very peaceful except when the monkeys run across the roof - but what a lovely sight to see such beautiful creatures sitting on the fence eating mangos. They even kindly left some for us to enjoy!
All 3 generations loved every minute of our stay. Andrew, Oneta and Claudette were so helpful and efficient, a really good team.
We enjoyed many fish BBQs in the garden and some visits to local restaurants recommended by Simon & Sarah.
Both beaches Mullins and Gibbs were visited several times for their different offerings. Also JuJu's for the fab rum punches. That slowed some of us down.
Children enjoyed the pool for hours on end. There was even a session of aquatic Karoke.
The only problem .... is the withdrawal symptoms now we are back in a wet UK and the boring referendum is still not finished. Planning to return for more.
Thank you very much from all of us. Barbara and the gang
Absolutely sublime! We were celebrating our parents 50th anniversary with a family gathering unfortunately it went all too quick and we found ourselves back in boring old England! Thank you very much (Simon & Sarah) for everything it was magnificent, recommendations to all looking to have a stay in the land of sun.
