A luxurious villa in an exclusive development. Residents have access to a top quality (15 x 8m) shared - but quiet - swimming pool conveniently situated just 150m from the door. The house is designed in traditional Provencal style and to a high standard of quality, finish and insulation. It is surrounded on all four sides by its own treed garden (800m2). It is recently built (2005), spacious (115m2) and enjoys a south-facing aspect via French windows from the sitting room and master bedroom to a shaded patio (ideal for outdoor dining and relaxation). The large living area is tastefully but comfortably furnished and has a beamed ceiling. We provide satellite TV, Wi-Fi, DVD and CD players. There is a high specification kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, oven, ceramic hob, fridge-freezer, microwave) with a breakfast bar. Three bedrooms comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests: the master bedroom has an en suite bath, shower and WC. The second bathroom has shower and WC. There is a third WC in the cloakroom. Whether you want to explore Haute-Provence or just relax at home, you will not be disappointed. Village/shops 5 minutes by car.

Ideal location for touring and spacious, immaculate accomodation and shared pool - all beautifully maintained.

Enjoyed the quiet corner site garden which was ideal for two year old to play in. Do need own transport.

Les + :

Récente et très calme dans un lotissement d'environ 80 maisons à côté du golf du Lubéron

Spacieuse et bien isolée (reste fraiche en journée l'été à condition de bien utiliser les volets)

Moustiquaires sur toutes les fenêtres

Pas de vis à vis

Belle terrasse d’été ombragée

Beau terrain avec pelouse bien verte et complétement arboré et clos (sauf accès voiture mais vous pouvez laisser celle-ci dans le chemin)

Très bien équipée (wi-fi; cuisine avec vraiment tout le nécessaire; machine à laver; plancha sur la terrasse, etc.)

2 salles de bains, 3 WC (toute la robinetterie fonctionnait parfaitement avec une bonne pression d’eau)

Bonnes literies

La piscine à 5 minutes à pieds, propre, très grande et finalement assez peu fréquentée (aout) à la vue du nombre de maisons du lotissement.

Les - :

L’arrosage automatique : toutes les nuits vers 4 h ...

Manque un portail à l’accès principal pour sécuriser complétement l'espace (en cas de jeunes "explorateurs")

SITUATION

Les + :

Parfaite pour qui veut découvrir la Provence, dans un rayon d’1h15 vous trouverez (entre autres):

Les gorges du Verdon et le lac de ste Croix

Les villages perchés et caves du Luberon

Le colorado provençale et les mines d’Ocres

La haute montagne des Alpes de haute Provence

Le littoral et les calanques

A 15 minutes, Manosque offre des beaux restaurants et cafés et une grande zone commerciale

Les – :

Il faut sa voiture pour tout (Le village de PierreVert est en hauteur et à quelques kilomètres de la maison, vous y trouverez le minimum pour dépanner : boulangerie et petits commerces types boucherie et tabac presse)

Manosque est à quinze minutes mais attention à certaines heures l’accès à la zone commerciale et à l’autoroute est complétement saturé…

PROPRIETAIRE / INTENDANCE SUR PLACE

Les + :

Super communication avec Bill le propriétaire, réponses très rapides, très arrangeant et vraiment très pro, bravo. Attention néanmoins échanges en anglais (mais peut être parle-t-il français ?)

Bonne intendance sur place, pas de surprises avec la propreté (ménage compris dans le prix) et l’état général de la maison, on voit qu’elle est bien entretenue.

Les – :

Un léger manque de flexibilité sur les horaires d’arrivée, nous souhaitions arriver en décalé samedi soir pour éviter les bouchons mais cela n’a pas été possible, nous avons donc pris les clés dimanche matin à 8h00

CONCLUSION

Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés, très belle villa et superbe situation.

Lovely modern and spacious villa in a good location.

Clean, modern and spacious accommodation. Very well equipped and comfortable. Intructions in English would have been useful for dishwasher and washing machine. Well located for touring especially the Gorges du Verdon which is stunning. We enjoyed our stay.

A wonderful comfortable home!

We just returned from a perfect week in this lovely home! The owners have clearly taken special care to include all the comforts of home. Beds were comfortable and the place was spotless and very nicely decorated. We had everything we could have asked for at our disposal! The house has a great layout perfect for a family or even two small groups traveling together. We enjoyed the open kitchen/living/dining area with its high ceiling. We cooked a couple nights and the kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed, including a great grill outdoors by the patio. We also appreciated access to the shared pool at the end of a long day of sight seeing. It's just around the corner.

The location of this home is nice because it's in a safe community just outside of a small village. We were able to easily visit many towns in the Luberon and got as far as Marseille, Avignon, and Aix-En-Provence as well!

The owners were fantastic to work with - super organized and responsive. There was a detailed notebook at the house which included tourist information and personal suggestions....as well as manufacturer instructions needed for the washing machine, and other appliances etc... should you need it. They really thought of everything.

We'd absolutely love to go back again one day!

Spacious, clean country villa

Spacious, clean, comfortable villa, located in a golf community. It is in the country but not far from city conveniences. It is a place that you definitely need a car to go around. Swimming pool is good for the kids. Kitchen is good size for cooking and well stocked. Washing machine is good, no dryer. No problem drying in the yard on rack. The only thing that bother us a bit is doors and windows do not have screens, therefore a lot of bees came into the house, also some flies. It would be very hot in the summer to keep the doors and windows closed at all time since the villa is not air conditioned. We had a wonderful stay, visiting nearby areas.

Biking and Relaxing

General remarks

One-week-stay from June 29. to July 6. 2013. Three adults. Activity: exploring Provence, visiting seaside, biking in the mountainous parts of the region. For these purposes Pierrevert is located strategically very well. Temperature during stay was fortunately moderate.

The villa

The relatively new villa is located at the end of a short dead end road in a quiet environment. The rooms of the modern equipped holiday home are commodious and pleasant, especially the bedroom with the door to the garden. In the three bedrooms we found comfortable beds, appropriate interior and capacious wardrobes. With three toilets, two shower stalls and one bathtub in three bathrooms we didn't get in each others way. In the spacious kitchen we found all the cooking utensils and appliances we needed. The equipment and technical devices we used worked very well. The lounge is furnished with table, seats and coaches in front of the TV-Set / fireplace, which provided us the opportunity to lounge around after biking. But more often we used the terrace or the neat garden in front of (resp. around) the villa to relax, to have breakfast or to barbecue. Altogether the descriptions of the villa we get from the landlords per mail corresponds to reality.

Booking, transfers and coordination with the Landlords went smoothly, they reacted quickly and were very helpful.

Local Management: During reception, instruction and the final inspection we could choose between French and English. As we are Germans, we were additionally welcomed and instructed by a German speaking local person, who made the offer, to help us further, if we need.

Evaluation

We were entirely satisfied: If we had to rate, we would choose maximum score for villa, coordination and local management.

As you say, the location is very peaceful but ideal for many different activities including cycling, walking, touring and visiting the coast. And of course there's the great golf course nearby. For example, from the doorstep you can enjoy extensive hiking & cycling routes through the reserve, and you are right beside an excellent 18 hole golf course with restaurant (5 further 18 hole courses within an hour's drive), 4km from the historic village of Pierrevert with shops & restaurants, 5km to two highly regarded vineyards, just one hour from Europe's deepest gorge, the Gorge du Verdon, for rock-climbing, kayaking, white water rafting. In less than two hours, you can be in highly regarded ski resorts such as Barcelonette. There are many excellent restaurants within a 15 minute drive and Manosque, just 10 minutes away, features a charming old quarter with narrow streets and markets as well as shops and hypermarkets on the outskirts. The magnificent city of Aix-en-Provence is an easy 30 minute drive.
