Description of the apartment -
Bright two bedroom and 1 bathroom apartment with very high ceilings, two open balconies and one enclosed balcony, on 3rd floor, with elevator. This apartment still has the 100+ years old mosaic floors (a different design in every room) and the original woodwork on the doors and windows. The apartment sleeps 4 people on 1 Double bed and two single beds. The ideal occupancy would be 4 people.

Description of location -
In the historic Eixample, built 1850-1910 during the golden age of the city, when the emigrants to the Americas where returning and investing their earnings back in the city. The beautiful buildings, most of them recently restored, reflect an age of plenty.

Transportation -
The apartment can be reached by taxi from the airport. It is close to the Verdaguer metro station, which sits on two metro lines. There are plenty of bus lines and also the taxi lane runs in front of the building.

· There are small grocers at a very short distance and the neighborhood market just 200m away.

Noise levels -
· The apartment has double glazing and extra doors in the master bedroom. There will still be some traffic noise. The second bedroom is very quiet.

A beautiful and comfortable stay with lots of character

A beautiful and clean house, well equipped and comfortable for a great stay in Barcelona. Well located close to public transports and walking distance from Sagrada Famillia is a great choice for visiting Barcelona. Comfortable mattresses, big windows with lots of light coming in and a nice view, combined with helpful hosts, this was one of our best stays so far.

Almost perfect

Property is as shown in pictures, beautiful and charming features. Location was excellent and the area felt safe, the only thing is it can be quite noisy with traffic at night when you are trying to get to sleep. Everything that you could need for your stay is in the apartment, we travelled with our son aged 15 months and an immaculate travel cot and bedding was provided along with a highchair which was very much appreciated. The only disappointment about our stay was when we arrived we were greeted with a sign to say the elevator was out of service, despite the check-in info we received just the previous day staying to use the elevator to access the apartment. This was a massive inconvenience for us travelling with our small child with luggage and a buggy having to carry up & down the stairs. I sent an email to the owners to query if this would be repaired soon however no response was received which was again disappointing and as such had us leaving on a sour note. Overall a great stay but marred by the lack of elevator. Would not recommend for those with children or elderly until this is repaired.

Lovely stay

A really beautiful, spacious apartment with amazing original features, high ceilings and huge windows. My partner and I stayed here for a month whilst working remotely and really loved the apartment. Lots of places to sit down to work, comfy corner sofa, the bed was comfy and we didn't think it was particularly noisy (we live in London though so perhaps we're immune to it now). Lovely balcony with views of the pretty church across the road. The local area is great too. Lots of nearby supermarkets, coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, bars and very close to several metro stations. The hosts were very nice and the last managing the apartment was quick to respond and happy to help. Our only constructive criticism is that the Internet wasn't the best, perhaps as it's shared with other apartments. This meant we had to tether from our phones in order to work from the apartment. We would definitely book this apartment again!

Excellent central location and charming apartment

The process of the stay was smooth and in overall was great. The location of this charming Spanish home is excellent, as you’re very central and close to everything you’ll need. The apartment is equipped with pretty much all you’ll need for your stay. The only downside, if you’re staying longer and are sensitive to noise, is that being that central also means there is street noise all day and night, which can make it challenging to sleep. However the second (guest bedroom) bedroom is more quiet as it’s facing interior instead of street. I would recommend this home if you’d like to stay super central and in a Spanish style home.
