Large 3 bedroom apartment magnificent views Cannes Marina .

The apartment is located within the select development of the Cannes Marina. The lounge and the master bedroom open onto the main veranda, which is southerly facing with views over the pool, the gardens and the marina. This is provided with tables and chairs for open air dining. The other bedrooms and the kitchen open onto the rear veranda with views to the hills and mountains.

We have a parking space near the entrance to the apartment and one in the basement garage. However, a car is not necessary as there are good bus and train services.

The apartment is within easy walking distance of the numerous restaurants, a play park, shops, the supermarket, golf course, tennis courts and bus routes. The beach is 1.5 km away and local railway station about 2 km away. The location is ideally situated to explore the Riviera coast from Italy to St. Tropez, including Nice, Frejus and Monaco. Further inland the enchanting hilltop villages and towns of the Alps Maritime, including Mougins, Grasse, St Paul de Vence and Eze can be visited.

Cannes Marina is located within Mandelieu La Napoule and is only 6 km from the centre of Cannes, around the bay of Cannes. The bay has sandy beaches with water sport equipment hire facilities.

The local bus to the centre of Cannes stops just outside of the apartment from where a half hourly Nice airport shuttle bus service operates. Two bus companies run services that call at Mandelieu and run via Nice airport. The bus stop for these is a 15 minute walk from the apartment.

Lovely flat with views to die for!

My husband and I rented this flat for January/February this year as we wanted to escape the Swiss winter and play golf. The flat is ideally located about a 5 min drive from the Old Course at Mandelieu which is why we chose it. With 3 bedrooms it is large for two people but we like to have our own bathrooms so it was perfect for us.

All our dealings with the owner were very positive. The local manager is simply a delight and nothing ever seems to be too much trouble for her. We did have some issues with maintenance things in the flat and she and the owner addressed those issues promptly. She in fact went out of her way to find some air vent covers that had gone missing and to install them (having open space where an air vent is supposed to be can make things quite cold in winter!)

The flat has a double aspect - from the sitting room and master bedroom you can see the sea, and in a sliver of a view between two buildings you can see over to la Croisette in Cannes itself. From the kitchen and the other two bedrooms you have a view of the hillsides of Mandelieu and the Estérel mountains. The sunrise from the sea and the sunset behind the Estérel were a constant delight to us.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed. The other two have twin beds. The main bathroom is adjacent to the master BR and the tiny shower room (I found it really small and its smallness is unfortunately enhanced by the rather weird floor which resembles pebbles...) is nearer the other two rooms. The flat is more than adequately furnished but the TV is very old (big box type) and only gets French channels which is a distinct drawback. For us the language is no problem because that is what we speak at home but the quality in general of French TV leaves a lot to be desired. I have suggested to the owner that he consider getting cable TV with more choice. There are plenty of plates, glasses etc for 6 to 8 people. Dishwasher works well as does the clothes washer. The fridge really needs to be bigger...

The flat was immaculately clean on arrival. The building is also kept very clean and the few other residents that we encountered in the lifts and hallways seemed very nice. It was quite quiet in the building - though in summer this might not be the case. There is a large Casino Géant supermarket within about 3 mins drive or 10 mins walk.

We would definitely rent this flat again if we plan another winter holiday near Cannes.

Very nice apartment

Really nice apartment, very bright, clean, lovely views. The apartment had everything we needed for a family of 5 for a 2 week holiday. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The best thanks goes to Sally, the agent, who came to our rescue when we needed her urgently. Highly recommended apartment.

Superb appartment/location

Stayed here in 2007 and 2009, we are now looking to book again but not in school holidays for this year. Previous holidays here have been a great success , multinational holiday makers which gives a good atmosphere. Appartment is large, well presented and very clean. Bedrooms good size, lounge has double sofa bed which came in very useful as we had unexpected guests. The view from the balcony is splendid and even on the hottest day with having balconies front and rear a lovely through breeze was achieved. Large lounge dining area with its lovely nautical theme, and a kitchen with every amenity available

The appartment is ideally situated for local bars, restaurants, beaches and sightseeing with Cannes being a short journey by train , bus or car.

We would recommend this appartment highly and the owners were approachable and helpful

Great Holiday

A very bright and clean apartment. It was more spacious than expected and very well equipped. Particularly liked the large balconies which enabled us to get sun/shade all day long. Enjoyed eating out on the balcony with views of the pool and marina. The pool is superb and the teenagers in our group also found plenty to do nearby. There is a large supermarket within easy walking distance. An excellent base to explore the area by car. Found the range of guide books very useful. Easy access to Cannes on the local bus and used the train to get to Monte Carlo and Nice. Would highly recommend this apartment. We’ll be back!

High quality

I have stayed in many different self-catering properties I can safely say that this is one of the most well-presented and fully-equipped residences I have ever stayed in.

Something for everyone in the area - be it walking, touring or just relaxing by the pool. The owners are an absolute pleasure to deal with.

This is somewhere I plan to re-visit again. I think the photos (good as they are) do not do this property justice.

Owner's Response: This is a somewhat strange review in that is has been posted 8 months after the guests stay. We always ask for comments when returning the security deposit but none was received at that time. The apartment has been redecorated recently as it is every five years. The services provided include a fully fitted kitchen (cooker, hob, freezer, fridge and washing machine), television, DVD and internet. We have passed on the comments to our management company with regards to the cleaning.

We had considered a place in France for a number of years and visited Mandelieu, having been invited to stay in a Friends apartment there. Our friends had bought their apartment the year before our visit. We immediately fell in love with the area and spent most of our Holliday looking at apartments, finally finding this apartment.

Cannes Marina is located within Mandelieu La Napoule, 6 km from the centre of Cannes, around the bay of La Napoule. Cannes is the focal point for festivals throughout the world, the most famous being the Film Festival. It is also famous for its designer shops and sea front.

A car is not essential as public transport is frequent and inexpensive. The direct bus from Nice Airport takes about 30 minutes and stops in Mandelieu, leaving a 12 minute walk to the apartment. There is also a local bus stop on the road just outside the apartment, but a change of buses is required, in the center of Cannes, for the half hourly airport shuttle bus between Cannes and Nice Airport.
