Vatican Penthouse with Terrace - St Peter's Dome view

Placed in one of the most central areas of the eternal city, this wonderful 160 m2 apartment is composed of a living room, a dining room, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a large terrace overlooking Saint Peter's dome; it comfortably hosts up to 8 guests.

The apartment has been completely renovated in 2013 and refurbished with both modern and original antique furniture. It is on the third and last floor of an historical building and for this reason there is no lift. Free Wi-Fi Internet is available in all parts of the apartment.

As soon as you enter, you will be fascinated by the spacious entrance and the long corridor through which you can access all areas of the property. The apt is provided with a 22sqm, which is an added value as buildings in the area usually don't have external spaces. Both from the terrace and the dining room windows you can see Via Cola di Rienzo, Piazza Risorgimento, the Vatican walls and St. Peter's dome.

The day area consists of a living room, with a double sofa bed, Satellite Tv, and a dining room with a very large table that can sit up to 10 people. A fully equipped kitchen completes the area, provided with oven, dish washer, toaster, kettle, Italian coffee maker and Nespresso coffee machine.

The night area is composed of three bedrooms: one is provided with two single beds, the other two have 2 doubled beds. The apt has 3 bathrooms, two provided with showers and one with a tub. Washing machine and dishwasher are available for our guests as well.

If needed, a single couch bed is in the dining room and can host an additional guest.

Great Apartment

Six of us came to Rome to explore this beautiful city and also to enjoy a day at the Ryder Cup. The apartment was lovely and ideally situated, we particularly enjoyed sitting out on the terrace for coffee in the morning and wine at the end of the night! Maria could not have been more helpful, and organised taxis to and from the airport for us. I would definitely stay in this apartment again.

Great location near Vatican

Maria was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early as the apartment had been vacated early. The apartment is well situated for the Vatican and shopping with a good market a few minutes walk. Be warned though there are 5 flights of stairs to climb with no lift available, this could be a problem if you have heavy luggage, we had hand luggage fortunately so just managed. The apartment was refurbished in 2013 it says in the details and is ready for another refurbishment as it is very tired. The bathrooms all need attention. No curtain or screen in the main bathroom, the en-suite shower head needs replacing and the shower tray has seen better days. All the towel holders are wonky and various lights do not work. The bed linen is poor and with nothing between the sheet and mattress very unhygienic. The wardrobe space is pretty well non existent with a double one in a bedroom full of old pillows and bedding, leaving little room for hanging without rearranging the whole space ( which we had to do ). The only other wardrobe (single) had the hoover in it! Many of the storage units were full of other personal items which were not of any use to the rental of the apartment and appeared to possibly belong to the owner, we have never come across this before whilst renting holiday accommodation overseas. The outside terrace was a bonus and was partly the reason we decided on this apartment. However, even with these problems mentioned we, the four of us, did Enjoy our stay in Rome for five nights, seeing as many of the wonderful sights as possible in that time. Would we recommend this apartment, only if improvements are made. The high price does not reflect in the condition I’m afraid.

Spacious well-equipped apartment

The photos do not do justice to the size of the apartment. We were really impressed by the large rooms, huge balcony, and by how well equipped it was. Everything was provided, from the welcome basket full of treats, milk and eggs in the fridge, to washing powder and toilet rolls. We were also very impressed by how close we actually were to the Vatican - literally a 5min walk. Maria, the owner was also very helpful in organising taxi transfers for us to and from the airport. We would definitely stay here again if we are fortunate enough to return to Rome. One of the best holidays we've had!

Great apartment, location & owner

We are a family of 6 & stayed during Easter Week and loved this apartment. 3 beds/ 3 bathroom, lounge, kitchen diner, hall & terrace. The apartment is a 5 minute walk to Vatican City and we walked to all the other Roman attractions from here. There are also great shops & restaurants on your doorstep. The apartment is on the top floor (fourth) and there is no lift, so consider the weight of your suitcase! However, there is a lovely wide marble staircase leading up to your front door. Maria, Camilla & Adam were very pleasant & helpful and gave us plenty of local information. Thank you also for allowing us to return to the apartment after our flight was cancelled. Loved our stay!!

Fabulous place, wonderful people

This is in a brilliant location overlooking the Vatican. Its an easy walk to all the main sites in Rome and the area has lots of nice places to eat, including a gluten free place just down the road. Its easy to go further afield too, as a taxi rank and buses are 2 minutes away . The apartment is really lovely and has everything you could need for a short or long stay. What makes this such a lovely place though, are the owners. All the booking and queries we had beforehand were dealt with so helpfully. Our welcome was delightful, we got lots of helpful tips and, following an unexpected fall over a paving stone, we were dispatched to the airport complete with ice pack for a very badly bruised wrist. Thank you Maria and family, we really enjoyed our time with you. Jo and family
