Spacious and modern self catering apartment in the quaint coastal fishing village of El Cotilllo, Fuerteventura. Part of a small development of only 36 apartments, situated right on the beach with its own gardens and breathtaking views of the lagoon beaches and the Atlantic Ocean. This complex has a large (250sqm approx) swimming pool (not heated) for use by residents only, and is ideal for children as it is not too deep. There is an integral jacuzzi, showers and adjacent toilets. For very young children there is a separate shallow pool. Surrounding the pool is a large sunbathing area with supplied sun loungers and attractive gardens with a gate leading directly onto the beach.

Herrliche Aussicht!

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal in der Wohnung und fühlten uns erneut sehr wohl. Sie ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und geräumig. Die Dachterrasse ist ein Traum!

Die technische Ausstattung (Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine und Kühlschrank) scheinen derweil kleine Schwächen aufzuweisen aber sind noch funktionstüchtig.

Brenda und Rick sehr sympathisch und hilfsbereit - wie schon das letzte Mal! DANKE!

Wir kommen gerne und hoffentlich bald wieder.

Tolle Lage direkt am Strand .... Nichts für Lärmemfindliche.

V.a. die Lage am Strand und die Terrasse im 2. OG sind die Highlights der Wohnung, die uns sehr sauber übergeben wurde von Rick, der auch ansonsten zuverlässiger und sehr angenehmer Ansprechpartner ist (Thanks a lot Rick!). Bäder und Schlafzimmer gut ausgestattet. Die Küche ist jedoch sehr einfach eingerichtet, Geräte und Geschirr eher ein Sammelsurium aus Restbeständen (daher ist die Küche wohl auch nicht per Foto festgehalten), die Küchenzeile und das Wohnzimmer sind generell eher zweckmäßig ausgestattet.

Eine Warnung für Lärmempfindliche: direkt unterhalb der Wohnung im EG befindet sich eine Tagesbar. Morgens gegen 7.45-8h und auch am Abend zwischen 19-20h wirds besonders laut, da dann die Tische und Stühle gerückt werden. Die Fenster sind einfacher Alu-Standard, so dass auch von der Straße entsprechend laut wird. Die Isolierung ist generell ein Problem bei solchen Bauten, so dass auch der Schall der Nachbarwohnung gut übertragen wird. Da wir eher auf der oberen Terrasse waren, hat es uns weniger gestört und für die Woche war alles fein. Für eine Langzeitmiete würde ich die Wohnung jedoch nicht empfehlen, da die einfach ausgestattete Küche und der Lärm dann einen doch auf Dauer stören dürften.

Außerdem sehr positiv, dass es in El Cotillo verschiedene gute bis sehr gute Restaurants gibt, die in vielen Hotel-Städten (durch AllInclusive) nach und nach verschwunden sind. Auch der frz. Bäcker um die Ecke vom Appartment ist nachwievor sehr gut.

El Cotillo is located on the north west coast of Fuerteventura. While it has expanded in the last few years, it is still a working fishing village and has maintained its local Canarian character and is an ideal location for a truly relaxing holiday. El Cotillo is famous for its stunning white sand beaches and protected clear blue lagoons where it is safe to swim all year round. For the more adventurous the surf beach to the south of the village is more exposed to the Atlantic ocean waters and here you can find many water sport activities such as wind and kite surfing and body boarding. The area surrounding the village of El Cotillo is of great natural beauty and much of it protected. Here you can enjoy a variety of activities such as cycling, walking, birdwatching. The village itself has all the amenities you will need supermarket, bank, internet, cafés, bars and restaurants serving locally caught fresh fish. Corralejo is only 20 mins by car or 40mins by regular local bus service.

Golf: There are now several Golf courses on the island, all within 1 hours drive from El Cotillo.
