Two bedroom apartment with communal swimming pool, children's swimming pool, tennis court and gardens. Situated in the conserved and award winning village of Frigiliana, with beautiful views looking over Nerja. The apartment is in a gated community, and is 2 minutes walk into the heart of the village with all shops, restaurants and bars. The beach and Nerja Town centre are approximately 5 minutes drive. Close to the centre of Frigiliana and is in the modern and luxury La Fuentes development.

About Frigiliana: The village of Frigiliana sits high on a mountain ridge overlooking the sea with spectacular panoramic views over Nerja which is just seven kilometers away.

Voted the ‘prettiest village in Andalucía’ by the Spanish tourism authority, the village is a tangle of narrow cobbled streets lined by whitewashed houses, their wrought-iron balconies filled with planters of brilliant red geraniums. Small plazas provide shady seating while the village bars are popular with visitors who come here to taste the locally produced wine. There are also several excellent shops selling pottery and ceramics, including decorative plates with their distinctive Arab design.

About Nerja: At the foot of the Sierra Almijara and Sierra Nevada mountains, approximately 50 km east of Malaga, lies the town of Nerja.

Situated on a rugged headland in an area of sheltered coves with excellent sandy beaches, overlooking the Mediterranean, Nerja is one of the smaller and more tastefully developed coastal resorts, noted for its absence of high-rise hotels and apartment buildings. Surrounded by some of the most fertile farmland in Spain, where olives, avocados and many other crops grow in abundance, Nerja remains a small unspoiled town. The old part of town is a maze of cobbled streets offering cafes and tapas bars, boutiques and fine shops. Later in the evening, the Balcon de Europa, a palm-fringed promenade overlooking the sea – and the cobbled streets of Nerja come to life and are lovely places to stroll or just sit and watch the world go by.

Other Attractions nearby: In the area there are many things for people to see and do, here are just a few:-

Visit the Alhambra. This is one of the most famous tourist attractions in the world and has been described as one of those amazing places that sometime during your lifetime you simply must go and experience.

Nerja Caves - are a series of caverns close to the town of Nerja. Stretching for almost 5 km these amazing caverns are one of Spain's major tourist attractions. Concerts are regularly held in one of the chambers which forms a natural amphitheatre.

Picasso Museum - This is situated in the beautiful city of Malaga which is also excellent for shopping. Picasso was born in Malaga, and right in the heart of the Historic Centre of the city this magnificent old building has been painstakingly restored to befit the importance of the works of the great artist.

Very good apartment, well located.

The apartment was easy to find and we were met at the door by the owner's rep and shown through. It was a few minutes walk into the village centre. The apartment was very clean and well stocked with dishes, utensils and pots/pans. We like to eat in frequently and were able to prepare our meals easily. A ten minute drive takes you down into Nerja if you want a larger town to explore or prefer large supermarkets to do your shopping. WiFi is available in the apartment if you sign on for it and pay. It was very reliable. Unfortunately, we could not get it to connect with the TV and provide a signal. We managed without it. The grounds were very nice and were being tidied up while we were there. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it. Parking is at a premium and it is often difficult to get a space close to the apartment building.

Owner's Response: Rays comments are fair. Unfortunately he wasn´t able to see Satellite TV during his stay. I tried to sort this out over the telephone but sadly it couldnt be resolved. A satellite engineer has now been in and had a look at the system and a cable connecting my receiver to the Community Satellite dish had perished. This issue has now been resolved, but I am grateful for Rays patience and understanding.

Just returned from 10 days in Frigiliana and what a gem this apartment is!

We used Home away for the first time and any apprehensions were soon pushed aside. Clive the owner was very informative and helpful before our visit and we were met at the apartment by Sue his caretaker. The property is very clean, spacious and ideally situated in a quiet gated complex of approx 40 apartments. The pool never had more than 10 in and we were quite often the only ones; even in August! Frigiliana is one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited, very friendly with a great sense of community, an abundance of restaurants and stunning scenery. We would Iove to come back and explore more of the area.

I have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Great location

Great little apartment with direct access to the old town, close to the public pool and near all the restaurants.

Quiet and cool. Very clean. Very friendly owner and helpful. My only suggestion would be to have an easier free internet access with another companyas I couldn't connect with the current set up for some reason.

Location was very good and loved Frigiliana. A great base to explore and relax too. Highly reccommended.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I think your comments about Internet Access are very fair. The day after you left the apartment I stayed there. I could see you did have internet access, but sadly you hadn't put the correct password into your phone/tablet/PC and therefore you wouldn't have been able to access the web. I believe the system of connecting requires a couple of simple and clear instructions a security of connection is also important. I have therefore typed these out for all future guests so there is no complication or issue in the future. Clive

Excellent Holiday, fantastic accomodation

The property was clean and well maintained. Everything required for self catering was provided. The apartment was comfortable and centrally located, five minutes’ walk from the mini market, restaurants, bars, pharmacy and bus and taxi stop. Clive and Sue were very helpful to provide as much information as possible to get to the apartment. Sue was at the door when we arrived and introduced us to the place and explained everything that we needed.

Frigiliana is a beautiful village and the locals are welcoming. We were there over the Easter break and got to participate in the local customs during the holy week. The local restaurants were very good. Some of the restaurants we visited include, El Taberna de Sacrastian, El Conventillo (a small restaurant that is open during lunch time), Plaza 45 all serve a good meal.

One of the better holidays we’ve had. Thanks so much!

Beautiful property, great location!

We loved our stay here. The property is clean, comfortable and very central in Frigiliana.

The outside space - courtyard, gardens, pools - was beautiful and so relaxing. It couldn't have been any easier really. Very good value for money. Clive, the owner, is very responsive and super helpful, as was his caretaker Sue, who greeted us on our arrival.

This was our third time visiting Frigiliana and we are big fans of the service provided by Owners Direct. This occasion was no different - very enjoyable and everything is made easy. We'll definitely be returning, maybe even to this property if it is free!

Just to say a HUGE thankyou!! the apartment is absolutely fantastic. The rooms were so large!!

We adored the pool and the views are amazing.

Sue met us outside the apartment and took us in- everything was very clean and welcoming.

Frigiliana is absolutely gorgeous and was exactly what we were looking for, totally Spanish and the people were so friendly.

We will definately be booking again, I can't believe we have found somewhere that we thought was only in our dreams

This is a two bedroom apartment close to the centre of Frigiliana and is in the modern and luxury La Fuentes development. This has a communal swimming pool, childrens swimming pool, tennis court and gardens. The apartment is in a gated community, and is 2 minutes walk into the heart of the village.

Frigiliana was voted the ‘prettiest village in Andalucía’ by the Spanish tourism authority , and so many happy days can be spent relaxing by the pool, walking round the village and then maybe having lunch and a glass of vino in one of the many restaurants. For those guests who like to lie on the Beach, Nerja offers many beaches and these are all within 5 minutes drive from the apartment.

For those who like to travel a little further Granada is within an hours drive, where there is the famous Alhambra, and the Sierra Nevada Skiing resort is a further 20 minutes drive for those wishing to Ski in winter.

Other Activities: Gym, Basketball, Football

Golf: Baviera Golf Club is the nearest golf course to my apartment (about 15 minutes drive), and is reasonably priced and offers an an excellent driving range/practice facility.

Los Moriscos Golf Club is about 30 minutes drive and is located close to Salobrena. This course it literally right on the beach, and the clubhouse has a lovely decked area by the sea where you can relax before or after the round.

It is fair to say the better courses are on the west side of the Costa del Sol, and many of these can be reached with an hours drive.

Ski: The Sierra Nevada ski and mountain resort is the southernmost resort in Europe. Set in the Penibético mountain range and 32 km. from Granada, it has over 103 km. of ski runs, with over 115 marked pistes for all ability levels, and top-quality snow.

It also has a cross-country skiing circuit, snow-park and recreational areas for non-skiers. Sierra Nevada has a multitude of leisure options, including restaurants serving cuisine from almost all over the world, tapas bars, cafeterias, pubs and a magnificent sports club with modern facilities.

The MirloBlanco fun activities take place at the resort during the summer and winter: Bike slalom, Bike skiing, Chair skiing, Archery, the best equipment for beginners to go skiing and snowboarding on an easy slope. In this same area, visitors can enjoy going down the slopes fast on roller-sleds, and the iice-skating rink with ecological ice.

Sierra Nevada organises tailor-made competitions: ski-cross, cross-country, parallel slalom.
