About this property

The Villa, nestled in a quiet private fenced wood, can give hospitality up to 20 people in over 400 square meters of space. There are 7 double bedrooms, 1 single room, double sofa bed and twin beds in the mezzanine, 9 bathrooms, two lounges with fireplace, panoramic veranda and kitchen furnished with steel refrigerator, sink, stove, dishwasher and freezer. Alfresco dining. Central heating included in the rental price.
Our private restaurant, open just for guests staying at the villa, is located in front of the villa and is available for breakfast and dinner service (on demand). The hall can give hospitality to 70 persons: perfect location for special events as birthdays, weddings, meeting...
The heated pool, offers breath taking views of the Poppi Castle, it can be used for a romantic after dinner swim or an out of season dip. The Golf course, and its club house with bar and restaurant bordering the farm, can be reached by foot in 10 minutes.
The farmhouse it is perfect to spent holiday with your family and in a group. In the Villa you can choose a vacation in total privacy but at the same time, on request you can have the the services of a 'private' hotel: personal chief, cleaning ladies, cooking classes, baby sitter...and many more.

Amazing property in a beautiful location

An absolutely beautiful house, with a lovely warm pool in a stunning location. Francesca was very helpful with details of local activities and was easy to contact during the stay. We have a delicious supper cooked by her and a group of us throughly enjoyed her cooking class. We are already planning our return trip!

Lovely, well managed property

This property commands a prime position with views along the valley and looking over the town of Poppi. The charming buildings and grounds are kept in immaculate condition. The host Francesca is friendly and attentive without hovering or intruding. The gate on the heated pool was welcome for our young children. We enjoyed two meals prepared by Francesca and her team and found them delicious, filling, traditional country fare. Poppi itself was for us a pleasant, quiet village, but with many services and shops in the new town and ample options for coffee and gelato. We had a great time and highly recommend the property.

Overall a fantastic holiday for 13 of us,

This holiday was one of the best breaks we have had as a family. It catered for all our needs including a 20 month year old to 85yrs. Francesca and her family were extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and enjoying our holiday. The cooking class was great fun and the food superb! Francesca gave us excellent recommendations for the wine tour and local activities. The rooms were comfortable and the pool and views were amazing although we weren’t keen on the insects but the bite cream companies did well out of us. One tiny recommendation would be to add a couple more sofas in the main lounge but overall a wonderful and relaxing holiday - thankyou!!

Incredibly relaxing

We have just spent two weeks at this wonderful villa in Poppi and it suited our extended family incredibly well making for a very relaxing stay. We were a group of 7 adults and 5 children and many hours were spent around and in the pool. We cooked our meals at the villa and the kitchen was very well equipped and easy to work in so that we could enjoy relaxed meals outside. Our stay was made very enjoyable by the attentiveness of Francesca, no details were overlooked and she provided us with a wonderful cooking class where we learnt how to make pasta and tiramisu. The children enjoyed the experience and of course loved eating the products. Francesca also cooked us a wonderful dinner and we ate this in the splendour of the banqueting room. Each day we would wake up to find treats left for us such as fresh figs, awesome courgettes, beans, lettuce and tomatoes as well as baking for the children. From every angle we had incredible views, views that you could never grow tired of and helped make this one of the most relaxed holidays we have had together as a family. We didn't venture far, preferring to enjoy a lazy holiday but the location meant that there were many interesting places to visit such as Cortona and Florence. The location of the villa was also well suited to our daily walks along country roads and a son loved his bike rides despite the challenge of the hills. I would highly recommend this property for any large group or extended family and extend heartfelt thanks to Francesca and her mother for their wonderful hospitality.

My name is Francesca and I was born in Poppi, Tuscany. I studied communication and mass media in Urbino, London and Copenhagen. I worked as a journalist in Venice for 4 years. Then I decided to came back to Poppi to rent the villa, to work in our family farm and, at the same time, to write for art magazine. Gigi, my dad, and Novella, my mum, are the bosses of the farm. We decided to start with Agriturismo (to rent a villa in a farm) 5 years ago. I live with Andrea, my husband, since 8 years.
