  • The master bedroom has a Kingsized bed, with antique bedside tables, and table lamps, antique wardrobe, antique dresser, a large mirror and a chair. Complementing the parquet flooring are high ceilings and large French double glazed windows with shutters. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, with full bath, shower and large sink in vanity unit. The second bedroom offers a double bed with period bedside tables, mirror, chair and wardrobe. The third bedroom has two single beds, gilt mirror, period wardrobe and writing desk with chair. All bedrooms have original polished oak parquet floors, high ceilings with chandelier and decorative cornice. Top quality Egyptian cotton linen is provided as well as thick comfy mattress toppers. All windows are double glazed and have shutters on the outside to ensure a good nights sleep. Alarm clocks are also provided in all rooms.

From the moment you enter this apartment through its large double mahogany doors, you will be impressed by the feeling of light and space. The large, wide entrance hallway leads to the living room, which is on the corner of the building and has windows on three sides of the room. This room has been carefully designed with comfort as the first priority without compromising at all on style.It is furnished with two large comfortable sofas with coordinating cushions, and a classic French coffee table. A sideboard hosts a large plama TV with cable TV (French channels and BBC World), i-Pod dock, and a DVD player. There is also Wi-Fi access. A chandelier, a large rug, table lamps, The brand new kitchen benefits from a built in dishwasher, washing machine, oven and fridge freezer, electric four-ring hob and extractor fan, kettle, nespresso coffee machine, toaster, and stainless sink. All necessary utensils are provided to cook a family meal. The large dining table will seat six.

Lovely appartment, perfect location

The appartment is spacious, clean and was exactly as described. The appartment is close to all amenities, 5 mins from beach,10 mins from the train station and close to the city. The hosts representative was lovely and very accommodating. Would defiantly book again.

Wonderful Apartment - Calm and Comfortable

This is an extremely well appointed apartment, spotlessly clean, well equipped, well located. Great service from Mary, the owner and Valerie, the local contact, who helped us out with organising private transfers from airport, and was on hand to deal with small issues that arose, lightbulbs blowing etc. We really appreciated the welcome basket after the long journey. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and will stay again hopefully. Enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous flat. The building itself is magnificent and well maintained. Beautiful stained glass windows in the hall and the cutest little elevator for two, with a little velvet covered seat in it. The flat itself is large and has a lovely clean modern kitchen, floors are parquet, ceilings are high, furniture is comfortable, great nights sleep had by all for the 5 days we were there. It was a short walk to the train station and a short walk to the shops. Many lovely bakeries nearby. Our extended family of 7 could not recommend this property highly enough. We received prompt, informative replies from the owner on initial booking and she was a great source for us in terms of things to do in Nice, where to go, how to get there. We were trying to keep four different generations happy and information provided by the owner and Valerie, the local lady who met us at the apartment was invaluable to us. The apartment was a perfect size for us all and we never felt cramped or closed in as can often be the case with big family vacations. There are plenty of toilets in the apartment (3), plenty of places to sit and relax after long days of sightseeing, a large table that was able to accommodate us all, including high chairs for our 2 year old.

The apartment was fantastic. The location is amazing and the internal decor, layout and specification was superb.

Comfortable safe family apt

Our family of 6 adults stayed in the apt in Nov 2017. The apt is clean, comfortable and well appointed. The check-in process was very efficient. The apt is within walking distance from restaurants, Mediterranean, and the train station....ideal location. While the apt is located across from a church with bells and surrounded by city construction/noise.... given the winter temperatures...the windows stayed closed and thus, we were unaware of the general noise issues. We would definitely stay here again.

Great property - would definitely stay again

This is a great apartment which had everything our family of 5 needed for a break in Nice earlier this month. The kitchen and bathrooms were very spacious, modern and well fitted out. The 3 bedrooms are all double in size. The living room is well laid out and comfortable - the children appreciated the fast wifi. The area is surprisingly quiet for being so close to the centre of the town, it's a 10 minute walk to the train station and a couple of minutes to the beach.

Dealing with Mary for booking and with Valerie for check-in etc. was great. Both were very efficient and friendly and provided lots of information. Communication throughout the booking process was very prompt and professional.

If we are in Nice again then we would definitely look to stay here.

First, the positive The apartment is close to the beach and shopping. The rooms are large. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The apartment needs a thorough cleaning. The sofas, which at one time (and in the photos on VRBO) were white, are no longer white and are covered with worn quilts and pillows to hide the dirt. Window sills are filthy. The floors need a deep cleaning. Dishes are chipped and mismatched. Instead of a fresh, bright apartment, it is a tired, dingy apartment. This apartment could be beautiful, but it needs TLC.

Upon arrival we were told the dishwasher sometimes malfunctions, and if water pooled in it, we would need to call the manager. Additionally, we were told using the dryer was probably futile--just air dry items. If you advertise your apartment has a washer and dryer, then both should be functional. Prior to booking the apartment, I specifically asked the owner about noise. I was assured there was little noise. This is just not true. The apartment is extremely noisy--you can hear people walking, talking, flushing toilets in the upstairs apartments. ALL noises from the street come into the apartment whether the windows are open or closed. It is very loud and potential renters should be aware of this. Additionally, there is construction occurring on an apartment building across the street. The owner told us it was "about finished" and would not be an issue. This, too, is not true. It is loud all day, and any potential renter should be aware of this. Also, there is no air con in the apartment. During our abbreviated visit, the weather was moderate, so not having air con was not an issue. We did open the windows once, but the noise was just too much. We literally had to shout to have a conversation.

We have rented many properties via VRBO for many years and in many places. This is the first time we have felt misled by the photos and information provided by owners. It is also the first time we have shortened a stay due to dissatisfaction with a rental unit.

Location, location, location - Central Nice. This beautifully refurbished apartment is perfectly situated for all that the Riviera and Nice has to offer. The apartment is in the centre of 'The Golden Square', the Carre D'or. Steps away from the famous Negressco, on the Promenade des Anglais, one of the few privately owned palaces in the world that is also classified a National Historic Monument. The world famous palm tree lined Promenade des Anglais itself is perfect for taking a seat, admiring the view, bike hiring or relaxing with the local Nicoise. Carre D'or is also the designer district, home to all the big names as well as plenty of boutiques and artisan food shops. The apartment is a five minute walk from the pedestrianised zone, with its bustling pavement cafés and restaurants. The bus and train station are each a 10 minute walk. This apartment is perfect if you want to be within a fifteen minute radius of all that Nice has to offer and it really is the perfect base to explore the Riviera
