Location good; Alessandro nice; apartment had just a couple of short comings

  • 4 of 5

Great response and communications from Alessandro. He and his wife are kind and hospitable. They hosted us on a tour of their vineyard along with an informative wine tasting session. Overall a very nice stay, however there were a few concerns with the apartment that should have been disclosed better on his posting. At the time we reserved, the listing included laundry, which when we arrived he said was not working/available. We already had a week's worth of laundry so this was a disappointment. The apartment is comfortable and true to the pictures. The bed is functional, but we found the mattress a bit 'thin'. The bathroom space is very small and there is an issue with building water pressure, especially in the morning. The AC unit works great. There are nearby grocery stores and a Metro station where one can also always find a cab. Alessandro also took the time to create a booklet of instructions and local recommendations which was helpful. Thanks for some great memories!

Central and Convenient

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I, with our 3 year old son, stayed here for several days and enjoyed how centrally located this apartment was. Alessandro was extremely nice (he met us at the apartment and helped me carry one of our large bags all the way to the apartment!) and easily reachable via text during the entire stay. The balcony was a great feature - we also loved watching all of the activity below. It is abundantly clear from all descriptions of the apartment, but the apartment is on the 5th floor (no elevator) - but you will be walking everywhere in Rome, so what's a few more steps to burn off all of that food! A VERY small trade-out for being centrally located in-between the train station, the Fontana di Trevi, and the Spanish Steps - all within a few minutes of each other. Plus, the Barberini Metro stop is about half a block away - such a great value when considering all of these factors! Plus, Alessandro couldn't be nicer, and it was clear that he rents this flat for the sheer pleasure of sharing Rome with travelers!

I will Stay here again while in Rome

  • 5 of 5

This was one of the nicest places my husband and I have ever stayed in. The owner Alessandro was absolutely amazing!! He even met us at the main train station and we walked to this stunning apartment. You cannot beat the area!! Safe and within walking distance of so much. If you choose to use the bus or metro, they are both right outside your door. The place is equipped with everything you need. This apartment is on the fifth floor with a stunning views from the balcony, but be advised there is no elevator and you have to climbed about 100 steps to the door………having said that…if you're okay with that you'll LOVE this place!!! Like another reviewer wrote…..we ate guilt free pasta and bread because we burned off the calories by climbing the stairs. Thanks Ale!!! Hope to be back again some day.

My favorite stay in Rome!

  • 4 of 5

I stayed for 9 days at this very charming flat at Tritone Studio Apartments and you can believe it is where I stay when I return again if it is available.

The location cannot be beat. The flat is within walking distance of the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, and the Forum. The building is situated right next to the Metro and the bus stops right out on the front street. There are terrific restaurants and fresh produce markets nearby, and Alessandro has a great guide book with maps inside to answer any questions you may have.

The flat is on the top floor of a walk up and so I didn't feel so bad eating the pasta and breads. A sweet lanai has a lovely view of the street below as well as the square and the Fountain.

The kitchen has a good sized stove top with two burners and a refrigerator, with any appliance you could need. Hot water (really hot!) is available 24/7.

The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom clean. There is a washer/dryer and vacuum if you have a long stay.

I really enjoyed it. It felt like "my own".

Perfect location with everything you need!

  • 5 of 5

This is one of the best values and locations you can get in the city. Grocery stores are within blocks, metro across the street, and nearly all of the sites are within walking distance! The apartment is great with a nice size bathroom, great little kitchen area for cooking and cafe, and the terrace is a great spot to sit with a glass of wine while the world below zips by.

Alessandro was at the apartment when we arrived and showed us a few of the spots around the area. Communication was great and he always responded to e-mails quickly. All in all this is on the top of our list of places to stay when we return.
