About this property

This charming house offers all the comforts of modern living in a suffused historical atmosphere, it is a wonderful solution for family who want a marble and comfortable home in center of the city but in the same time in a peaceful and quiet area.

The apartment is very bright and spacious, at the ground floor it has an elegant and large living room, a very bright and functional modern kitchen and a luxury stylish bathroom. At the first floor there is a lovely and cozy bedroom with a king-size bed, another room with 2 single bed that could be attacked like a double bed and a modern and stylish bathroom. There's air conditioning in the sleeping area and central heating to ensure a comfortable stay.
Outside there's a patio with flowers and vegetables, in the middle you find a table where we recommend especially in the summer to eat in a quiet and typical background.

At 100 meters far from the house you will'be in front of the venetian lagoon, with its wealth of wildlife and natural species, seeing the many islands and the sinuous typical lagoon's 'barene' , reproduction area for hundreds of species of birds.

Wonderful experience

An absolutely delightful house, spacious, comfortable and stylish with great outdoor space in a charming, authentic area, just a few steps from a busy, working canal that's constantly fascinating. It's away from the crowds and madness of parts of the city but just a few minutes walk from excellent restaurants and shops and with three vaporetto stops really close by including the one from the airport. Rita is a star host, unfailingly helpful and accessible at all times. Do ask for her recommendations and use them. I would unhesitatingly recommend this property.

Tranquillity in Cannareggio - would book again

In our attempt to get away from the tourist masses, we booked this house in Cannareggio. Rita and Elena were very helpful, arranging to meet us beforehand and keeping in touch on the day of our arrival. The house was very simple - with a mix of furniture past and present. The two baths and beds proved very handy especially when travelling with a teen. We didn’t use the garden because the weather was so-so. We found the house to be very conveniently located with plenty of bars on nearby Fondamenta degli Ormesini for cicchetti and a very nice Coop in Strada Nuova. The little shop/deli on the way to Guglie is also very nice and we did shop at the baker in the Ghetto. We travelled to Murano/Burano and the Biennale from the house. While it can feel like a trek for some, we were soooo very happy to get away from the selfie-stick crowd in the evening. I would wholly recommend this house if you are looking for somewhere quiet to stay in Venice and can be respectful of the neighbours in this corner of La Serenissima.

Peaceful Location, great if you want to avoid the crowds

Property is as advertised. It is well equipped and comfortable and feels very safe and secure. It’s a bit of a trek to the major attractions but quite close to the station and Guglie Bridge which has a busy shopping street nearby. Lots of reasonable restaurants on the Cannaregio Canal, very close to the house.

Tucked away and quiet. A well appointed and property of good size for four people.

A very well appointed and good sized house that was ideal for 4 persons. The additional bathroom was a great advantage and it was nice to be able to enjoy the outside courtyard, especially as the weather was so warm. On the whole a good location for our group as we like to be away from the crowded areas and prefer to keep to the quieter Fordamentas but at the same have benefit of outside cafe/bars/restaurants in our locality but also within easy walking distance. The fabric of the property is of generally good order but there are some issues that need attention such as: A socket cover in the kitchen was taped t the wall and the bare wires accessible and visible ( a danger if a child was in occupation. Broken window latches in both bedrooms, one not working the other not lockable. Light switch in kitchen not working, causing a sizzling noise when switched on/off. Bedside light near window in large bedroom, bulb broken (taken out and disposed off during our visit by us). Bare wires are hanging out of wall in utility area. Peeling paint work above the shower in bathroom downstairs. Only 4 mugs for coffee/tea, one has cracked handle! Shower head in downstairs bathroom slides down, fixing bracket loose. Garden chairs, two have cracked backs, one unusable so leaving just 2 decent usable chairs. Kitchen needs some heat resistant table mats and scissors. We cooked in for 6 of our 7 nights and coped ok but were careful to use the bread board to place a hot dish/pan on to avoid damage to the work surface or table cloth, others may not be so careful. These are minor issues so should be fixed with ease but the electric socket cover is a health and safety issue is in need of urgent attention. These issues would not deter us from using the house again and we were made very welcome by Agata who greeted us off the Alilaguna upon our arrival and gave us detailed information about the property and had extensive knowledge of Venice that she was able to inform us about in order to make our stay enjoyable.

A lovely little hideaway!

Sweet little house, tucked away in a really quiet spot but only steps from the canal. Easy to get on the water transport system and only a few minutes from the train station. Giulia met us and showed us round the house on arrival. The house was clean and has all you’d need for a short stay. We booked a private water taxi from Marco Polo Airport which dropped us as close as you could possibly get! Cannaregio is a lovely part of Venice; much quieter than the main tourist areas and nice to get away from it all at the end of the day! Plenty of nice cafes and restaurants to chose from. Highly recommended.
