About this property

Enjoy a little slice of paradise in our guest house. Master bedroom has 1,000 thread count sheets. Both bedrooms have upgraded orthopedic mattresses. We’ve recently remodeled the bathroom. Well stocked kitchen, with coffee maker, blender, pots, pans, cutlery etc.. Coffee, sugar, creamer, & some spices provided. 6 beach towels provided along with 2 beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler and a boogie board. Enjoy the large 1/2 acre property and solar heated pool April through October. Two bedrooms, 1 bathroom, with large living room and kitchen. Barbecue available to use along with an outdoor table to enjoy your meals. Five minutes to grocery store, shops, restaurants and coffee shop. Five minute drive to get to the 805 Freeway. Very conveniently located. 20 min drive to Coronado and 25 min drive from the airport, Balboa Park and the zoo. Sorry no kids under 6 and no pets. Thank you.

Fabulous little Casita

We had an amazing stay here in Chula Vista, it was a perfect location for seeing all that San Diego has to offer. While staying here we visited San Diego Zoo, San Diego Safari Park, Sea World, USS Midway, The Children’s Museum, Sesame Place Water Park, saw the seals and sea lions at La Jolla and did a whale watching cruise. All were a good driveable distance from this Casita. We loved coming “home” to it at the end of every day. The children loved the pool and the ping pong. All in all, we had a fabulous stay and we were very sad to leave. Celeste and Mark were great hosts and provided useful local knowledge to supplement the research we had done ahead of our stay.

Fantastic!

We loved the Casita that was like a home from home, especially after a long day of sight seeing and theme parks. The Casita was really well appointed, very comfortable and well located - Seaworld, SD zoo, and the city centre were all easy sub 15min(ish) drives away. Celeste and family gave us a great tips for parking (for all day and so that we could go to the ball game) as well as a great tip for travelling north to LA. Pool was large enough and the water a great temperature. Overall a great place to stay, and the home away (VRBO) booking and deposit refund system was easy to follow and very efficient. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer!

Perfect location, home from home.

Thank you for a wonderful stay, the casita was great for us. Everything we needed was there, the pool was lovely and the location perfect to explore all that San Diego has to offer. Our hosts were just lovely, on hand to advise and help, especially when we had issues with the hire car... thank you so much. We would highly recommend this 'home from home' and look forward to staying again in the future... thank you again for opening your home to us.

Fabulous location, fabulous casista in the sun.

Well, where do I start about how great this rental is! It has everything you could want in a home from home. You can come and go at your own pace and use the pool and patio area as you wish. Having a pool and great wifi was a must for my 15 year old son and neither disappointed. The wifi was so good, we has six devices on the go everytime we were at the casista. Big thumbs up. All other facilities including the use of the outside grill (bbq) were also great. Celeste and Mark and their family were just delightful, they are there should you need their assistance but private enough that you would not know the family where there at all :) This rental is set in a beautiful garden setting, in a nice sub-division about 15 minutes from downtown San Diego and 20 minutes from the airport (depending on the traffic). This was better than we could have expected and cannot recommend it highly enough. One day we hope to return.

I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and lived there until I was 9 years old. In 1979 our family moved to Vancouver, Canada. I lived there until I was 22 and then went to Chiropractic College in San Jose, California. My husband and I moved to San Diego in 1995 and have lived here ever since.

Why they chose this property

My husband and I fell in love with this property. It is on a quiet cul-de-sac in an upscale neighborhood. We have a 1/2 acre property with beautiful gardens and a large solar heated pool. We enjoy swimming May-November.

What makes this property unique

This little slice of paradise is a relaxing place to hang out. Whether you are enjoying the pool or laying in the hammock you are sure to love listening to the birds and enjoy the joys that San Diego has to offer!
