A beautiful typically Andalusian country house restored for modern living with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a fully fitted kitchen, living room, terraces and swimming pool.

The main house is composed of a living room with dining area with wood burning stove, fully fitted kitchen with American-style breakfast bar, large bathroom with double sinks and shower cubicle and two double bedrooms, one with double bed and the other with twin beds. Close to the pool area there is further accommodation of a bedroom with a double bed and another bathroom with shower cubicle.

There are many lovely terraces from where you can enjoy the fantastic mountain and seas views. The house is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards and the house in fact still maintains two drying beds for raisins, a practice which can still be seen in this area.

The whole property is completely private and not overlooked on any side. There is plenty of seating areas both close to the BBQ area and the pool area.

A deposit will be required on booking your holiday, payable by bank transfer.

Related to a possible cancellation, the quantity paid for the booking will be lost to amend possible profits and loss,

considering that the owner could lose the opportunity to rent it again.

About the Owner

Traditionally, Andalusian families, particularly families from the villa of Torrox, used to spend the winter or summer seasons in houses located in the countryside, normally known as "Cortijos", in order to gather olives or grapes between others fruits from the season. Consequently, almost each family in Torrox owned a house or "Cortijo" outside the village for this purpose. Our family has used this ancient tradition in Torrox in order to offer our customers a renewed version of "the Andalusian Cortijo" with the only aim of assuring your relax and enjoyment.

The first villa was built between the years 1985-1990, is the house that we called "Cortijo Del Monte". All the family contributed on building up the house, Mom, Dad and the kids, with the aim of enjoying weekends and holidays in the house... but only until the children grew up.

By chance, and coinciding with this time, a travel agent, who knew about our house, proposed us to rent the house; according to his opinion, the villa had all the optimal conditions to be offered as a house to rent. Consequently, we finally decided to rent it and since then our only goal is to offer the best service and comfort.

Afterwards, between the years 1998-2005, other villas were built up, as the ones called "Cortijo El Paraíso", "Cortijo Los Almendrales" and "Cortijo Del Sol". It is still a family business, Mom is responsible for cleaning inside the house and taking care of all the minimum details for keeping the charm inside home; on the other hand, Dad takes care of all exterior areas, as gardens, growing up trees and flowers, watering plants and cleaning and keeping the pool; and finally, the kids, that now are adults, particularly Carlos, is responsible for the design and diffusion of the villas in all the national and international websites.

Our only objective is to offer the best, so we do not scrimp on efforts or expenses to achieve that you finally enjoy the comfort, relax and charm of our villas.

Stunning property

We were met by Antonio, who was lovely, and very patient with our lack of Spanish. Antonio led us up to the house, what a beautiful property, in a stunning setting, the views are spectacular, mountains, sea. The house is charming and very well equipped, with everything you could need.

The pool area is fantastic, and was very well used by all of us, as were all of the outside seating areas.

The welcome pack was gratefully received.

We would definitely recommend this property.

Fantastic

What a fantastic villa, thoroughly recommend.very well organised, secluded just what you need to chill .cannot fault anything ,Antonio met us and we had a good welcoming pack.carlos kept in touch with us and his English was excellent.everything worked, the pool was very relaxing didn't want to come home.would wish to book again maybe. Wonderful

My husband and I had a wonderful 2 weeks at the Villa. Seclusion and Beautiful views! The property is clean and well maintained. We were met by Antonio, who was very charming and helpful. Although our Spanish is limited, we managed to communicate easily. If peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings is what you are looking for, then this is for you. Great Week Away

The long drive up the winding mountain road was unquestionably worth it when we turned the corner which revealed this stunning property. The inside of the house was decorated traditionally and with real character giving the villa an authentic and homely feel. The location of this property was simply stunning, with views of the breath-taking Granada Mountain Range, as well as overlooking the town of Torrox and great views of the beautiful coastline of Torrox Costa. The pool area is fantastic as are the various patios all with different views to offer. We used the barbeque on several occasions and it was great. Bed were comfy, facilities were well looked after and worked great. There was even a wood burning fire which i'm sure would make a winter break very cosy! The house catered comfortably for our family of 4 with room for two more in the ground level house beneath the main property. Antonio and Carlos were lovely and very helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay. We were able to totally relax in what felt to us like our own home. Faultless, highly recommended!

Le paradis

Nous avons passé 2 semaines de réelles vacances dans la villa de Carlos et Antonio, repos, dépaysement et soleil. Le tout dans une villa très bien équipée, située dans un petit coin de paradis, dans la montagne avec une vue magnifique sur la mer, dans un environnement calme et très reposant (aucun bruit, grasses matinées assurées !!) réveil au chant des cigales ! La piscine est tout à fait sécurisée ainsi que l'accès aux abords de la maison pour les jeunes enfants. L'accès à la maison est un peu surprenant au début (2,5 km de chemin dans la montage) mais la beauté du lieu et du logement en arrivant nous le font vite oublier. Nous avons pu préparer notre séjour au mieux grâce à la disponibilité de Carlos qui répondu à toutes nos questions avec une rapidité remarquable lors de différents échanges de mails. Antonio, son papa nous a réceptionné à notre arrivée, nous apportant des précisions et nous apprenant plusieurs choses sur sa région. Les prestations de cette location sont dignes d'un 5 étoiles (linge de maison fourni et changement au cours du séjour). Carlos et Antonio sont très disponibles et d'une gentillesse jamais rencontrée lors de nos précédentes locations. Je recommande fortement cette location et espère pouvoir séjourner une prochaine fois dans une autre de leurs villas, qui, pour les avoir vu de l'extérieure ont l'air tout aussi paradisiaque.

Vacances à Torrox

Nous avons passé 3 semaines de vacances en famille cet été dans la villa "Cortijo del sol". Ce séjour a été très reposant en raison du calme qui règne dans les environs. La propriété est en effet située au sommet d'une colline et entourée d'oliviers et de manguiers. Les cigales, nombreuses, sont également de la partie. La villa est très confortable, très bien équipée, et la piscine est très agréable (25-30°C durant notre séjour!!). La vue panoramique sur la montagne et la mer est exceptionnelle. Le seul léger inconvénient est l'accès à la villa, qui se fait par un chemin de terre de 2 km à flans de collines, et qui peut sembler délicat au premier abord. Néanmoins, on se sent beaucoup plus sûr après quelques trajets. Le propriétaire, Antonio, est très sympathique et extrêmement serviable. Il ne parle qu'Espagnol mais on le comprend bien malgré tout. En cas de problème, son fils, Carlos, constitue un relai très efficace car il parle Anglais. Nous avons vraiment été séduits par la gentillesse de toute la famille Cortés et recommandons cette location.

A beautiful restored cortijo or country cottage ideally located for a holiday away from it all but also close to the sea and the hustle and bustle of village and town life if needed.

Enviably located on a hill top this property is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and enjoys truly stunning views of the Mediterranean.

The house is situated about an hour drive east of Malaga between the white villages of Torrox and Cómpeta. Torrox village is a drive of around 15 minutes and a distance of 6km approx. The house is located on a hilltop therefore enjoying truly fabulous views of the mountains, sea and coast between Nerja and Malaga. Cómpeta is also very close by at approx. 7km. The access to the house is excellent. On leaving the motorway you have a short drive to the main Torrox/Cómpeta road (A-7207) and then 4.5km of this road before arriving at the Montealegre area of Torrox where you take an excellent track, most concreted to arrive at the villa
