Beautiful 4 star apartments, 2 pools, parking, close to beach

Villa Salena is a beautiful development consisting of 18 apartments close to the town of Slatine to the north east of Ciovo.

The property consists of three penthouse apartments and a number of standard two bedroom and one bedroom apartments. Therefore, we can cater for groups of almost any size.

A standard two bedroom apartment consists of a comfortable kitchen, dining and living area that leads out on to the balcony. There is a master bedroom in each apartment that has a double bed and a smaller second bedroom that has bunk beds. There is one fully equipped bathroom in each apartment.

The penthouse apartments are larger than the standard apartment and the second bedroom has single beds. The balcony is also larger and you can enjoy beautiful sea views from them. Please enquire about them as they are more expensive.

The development benefits from two beautiful pools that are shared by all of the apartments, ample parking and its close proximity to the town of Slatine and the beach.

Villa Salena is located just a short walk from the charming fishing town of Slatine. The village is located to the north east of Ciovo island. Slatine is very much an old Mediterranean village that has been unspoiled by large scale tourist development. However, this is gradually proving a blessing as the town becomes increasingly popular with guests looking for a more authentic Croatian village than some of the more popular tourist destinations on the island.

During the summer months there is a regular ferry that can take you from Slatine to either Split or Trogir and back again. This is ideal as it provides you with a cheap and quick method of transport to visit two of the most popular tourist attractions in the region (whilst avoiding any traffic). Both Trogir and Split are UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Villa Salena is also only 12km from Split airport so you are not wasting any time with unnecessary travel. While Slatine is based on the island of Ciovo, you can still drive to the island due to a connection bridge located in Trogir.

The closest beach is only 200m from the apartments and there are endless coves and inlets along the coastline if you are looking for somewhere more private. There is also the popular Kava beach on the other side of Slatine although this is not really within walking distance of the apartments.

Local amenities in the town include a choice of restaurants, supermarkets, cafes and bars. There is also a diving school and water sports providers. Anything not available in the town can be easily arranged from the nearby Trogir.

All of the apartments in Villa Salena are finished and fully furnished to a quality standard. 2011 will be the first lettings of the property so all of our furniture and accessories are brand new. The apartments are a much better standard than most of the other properties on the island and have a 4 star rating.

A standard two bedroom apartment consists of an entrance area, a large double bedroom, bathroom and a large kitchen and living area. There is also a small second bedroom that is equipped withe bunk beds and is great for kids. The kitchen is fully equipped with all mod cons including washing machine and dishwasher. The living area contains stylish leather furniture which includes a sofa bed. There is also a dining table and chairs to eat at.

There is a balcony off the living area which generally provides you with a beautiful sea view. Apartments are located on the ground, first and second floors so the views may vary. Please enquire if you have a preference

Me hadde ein penthouse leilighet I 14 fantastiske dagar.

Leiligheten var rein og fin, alt var I orden.

Roleg og fin plassering, litt vekk frå vegen.

Kort veg ned til ei fin strand, som ikkje var overfylt av folk.

Gå avstand til matbutikk med godt utvalg av daglegvarer.

Ome ein ynskjer resturangar, så var det fleire I gåavstand frå leiligheten

Me tok ,buss og taxi til Trogir, mens me tok båt til Split.

Greie dagsturar begge to.

Great stay in a very nice apartment!

The apartment was clean,spacious, modern and very comfortable with a great view from the big balcony (only disadvantage for tall people, the low ceiling in the bedrooms!)

The owner/ manager was very welcoming and helpful.

Small shops and good restaurants within walking distance in Slatine.

Nice local beach which was never too busy.

It was good to be able to go to Trogir by bus or borrow some bikes

Fint og velholdt kompleks - roligt område.

Vi havde 2 dejlige uger i penthouse no. 3. Fantastisk god og rummelig lejlighed med super flot udsigt over vandet og ind til fastlandet. God plads på balkonen til spisning og hygge om aftenen. Personalet (især Anna) var utrolig søde og hjælpsomme, kunne altid kontaktes ved spørgsmål. God afstand (500 m) mindre supermarked, og mulighed for større indkøb 3 km længere nede af vejen. Stranden er lige over vejen og ganske fin, dog er det nøvendigt med badesko. Vandet er krystal klart og rigtigt lækkert at bade/svømme i. Strande med forlystelser findes et par km længere nede af kysten. Slatine havneby byder på et par hyggelige restauranter som tager små 20 min i gåafstand. Herfra afgår også både til Trogir og Split. Det kan delvist anbefales at leje bil grundet trafikken omkring broerne ved Trogir. Bil kan lejes i Split lufthavn som tager 30 min i bus/taxa. Vi anvendte bil i halvdelen af vores ferie og det fungerede fint. Cykler kan også lånes til ture rundt på øen eller til indkøb i supermarkederne. Der er gode muligheder for at grille og spise udendørs nær pool området. De 2 anlagte pools var meget små, men fint til blot at blive svalet af eller leg med ungerne. Alt i alt er vi godt tilfredse med opholdet og kan varmt anbefale stedet til andre børnefamilier (3 børn på 10,17,17)

We had a really nice time in Slatine. The apartment was nice, exactly like in the photoes. The apartment was clean, and had a really nice seaview. Only 2 minutes from a nice beach, walking distance to a shop. We loved the area especially the nice beaches in Slatine and further out. You can walk, drive or borrow bicycles at Villa Salena, you will find beaches. The area was very peaceful. We will like to vome back.

Slatine is a charming fishing village located on the island of Ciovo. Due to its proximity to both Split and Trogir (and the transport links between them), Slatine is the ideal place to spend your holiday. Also, you are only a 12km drive from Split Airport so once your flight lands you are not too far from the luxury of our apartments.

Although not as popular as other destinations on the island, Slatine is becoming ever more popular due to the beautiful coastline that you are never too far away from. There is also a choice of beaches, restaurants, bars and water activities to keep you occupied throughout your stay. Slatine provides you with the beauty of an old Mediterranean village that is still largely unspoiled while at the same time you are only a 15 minute taxi ferry to either Trogir or Split which are the two most popular tourist destinations in the region.
