Wonderful home from home

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a fantastic time at the apartment. We loved the location (about 15 mon walk from the Croisette and shopping district of Cannes). The apartment had everything that we would need. The kitchen was very well populated and this made the stay that much better. It was exceptionally clean and presented at a high standard and was easily big enough for me, my wife and 2 boys (7 and 15). Cannes itself was very cosmopolitan and we all fell in love with it. The swimming pool was massive c25m in length and the gardens presented a lovely location - far enough from the centre to be very quiet but close enough to get to all the main areas of Cannes.

We did not hire a car and flew from Heathrow to Nice and got the train to Cannes. We took a taxi from Cannes station to the apartment but felt it was close enough to walk back to the station on the way home (all downhill).

Overall a lovely property that we would definitely consider going back to.

Fantastic apartment in a great location

  • 5 of 5

My wife, my 15 year old daughter and I are just back from a great week in this apartment in Cannes. This apartment is in a beautiful location and in beautiful condition. The swimming pool is amazing and even though we were there in August we had it to ourselves for much of the time. The apartment is superbly maintained and extremely well equipped. Booking the apartment was very straightforward (my emails were quickly, professionally and very politely dealt with at all stages) and there was someone available to us locally during our stay if we had any problems (which we didn't).

The apartment is in a quiet park area about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Cannes so you have the best of the peace and tranquillity of the apartment/park/wonderful swimming pool and the cosmopolitan city of Cannes. You are close to the supermarket. A car is not needed (we did not have one) as Cannes is within a short walk of the apartment and the train will take you to wherever you want to get to on the Cote d'Azur.

My compliments again to the owners for making this a great stay.

Wonderful Home

  • 5 of 5

This should be called Home Sweet Home!

Loved everything about it! it was wonderful!! We truly enjoyed it and hope to visit again soon.

The furniture is all new, the renovations are great! the pool is breathtaking. The pictures are exactly as you will see it.

We came for the Cannes Film Festival and we loved the location and the distance from the craziness that the festival brings. However, we were walking distance from the festival and what a wonderful 20 minutes walk it is. No need for a car at all.

I highly recommend this beautiful home and hope to visit again soon.

What a wonderful home!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment has everything you need from a home. We were frantic looking for a place to stay during the Cannes Film Festival and you can only imagine the nightmare stories we heard of over priced holes in the walls. However, this home was perfect. We were far enough from the craziness of the festival but close enough to walk to it. It will take you about 20mins to get down there but the walk is beautiful. I walked to the festival in my gown, thats how easy it was.

Linda is an amazing host and had everything we needed in the apartment. She was always available to answer any questions we had. The pool is amazing. We couldnt use it because the weather did not permit but I would have loved to jump in. The furniture is new. The apartment is renovated, its really pretty. The bathroom are all new. The beds were a wonderful end to our long days. The market is not too far away.

I would highly recommend this place and would love to come back and stay here. Maybe next year!

Lovely Location

  • 5 of 5

Me & my family stayed at this stunning apartment for one week. The apartment was very comfortable & clean. It had everything you might think you need. Great location and we loved the view and the pool in front of the flat. We were so sad when we had to leave for home specially the kids :(.

I could not fault our stay and would definitely return for another visit.

The Owners are lovely people and very caring and kind. They helped us in every way to make our stay more enjoyable.I definitely recommend this flat to everyone who is looking for a great holiday at a great location.

Thank you!

Stunning!!

  • 5 of 5

Five of us stayed in the apartment at the end of July and had a fantastic time! The children did not want to go home and neither did we.

The apartment has everything you would ever need. But the best bit for me was the position!! wow! sitting on the terrace with the pool in front of you, steps up to the garden and former villa on the left, gentle chimes from Bellinis Chapel, I loved it!

For the week we where at the apartment it was like having our own private pool, and so peaceful.

A visit to Bellinis Chapel is a must, and about 1 minute away. Its open every weekday afternoon and is a Museum/Art gallery run by Bellini's daughter.

The Croisette was good but the old town was the best bit for me, with its winding streets and beutiful view from the castle at the top of the old town.

Pressure from the kids to go to the water park was painless. walked to the station, bought a ticket to Biot, walked 5 minutes to the Park.

We stayed without a car and found it easy to get around, although if you want to get lots of shopping a car would be a benefit. But who wants to drive on holiday?

There are lots of Scooters around, and if this is your prefered mode of transport, left bank scooters will deliver a Vespa to you from Nice!

We ate out a few times and found everywhere to be very good, Le Jardin which is just down the road was a nice restaurant.

I could not fault our stay and would definitley return for another visit.

The owners are extremely helpful and went beyond expectations to make our stay enjoyable!

Thank you!!

Location

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Nice on the coast with bus link to Nice station at 26.3 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Le Jardin Restaurant, Av. Isola Bella. at 800 Metres Nearest Ferry : Nice's east side Vieux Port with ferries to Corse at 40 Kilometres Nearest Train : Cannes at bottom of hill on way to town & beaches at 1.1 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : Cannes exit off A8 at 5 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Boulevard de la Croisettes, finest beach at 1.5 Kilometres Car: recommended

Only 1km from town centre, in the former grounds of Villa Fiorentina up Ave. Vallauris hill, the apartment looks over lush sub tropical plant life and the swimming pool in tranquil surroundings off a private road. Next to the delightfully structured 1880 Florentine-baroque style Musee Chapelle Bellini by the old villa (now apartments), 12 minutes walk downhill brings one to the town's principle shopping strip via the daily covered market. The beach is a further 4 minutes. The station, providing access to all the interesting places between us and San Remo, Italy, including Antibes, Nice, Villefranche sur Mer, Beaulieu, is on the way. While web searches of Cannes and surrounding area will reveal the other points of interest, other than Film Festival goers most of us travel there for the sunshine, beach, views over the islands and shopping in one of the most fashionable Cote d'Azur locations, St Tropez being the next to the west and Monaco to the east and on that line to San Remo.

Notes:

  • Absolutely no pets as we like to consider those with allergies, which is why the duvets and pillows are non allergenic products. While, ‘No Smoking’ is included in the advertisement it is understood that people who smoke today accept that it is no longer done in Public places and have thus become tolerant of being constrained. Provided that there is absolutely no smoking inside, smokers are welcome but please be considerate of occupants of the apartment above us. Re. the Grill, BBQ whatever, it's a charcoal BBQ or grill - as I call it - supported on four legs like an oil drum on its side affair. Re. the Patio or Terrace, the main 'covered' one is between the main floor sliding glass doors and pool while there are two additional areas at the side, one of which is used for BBQing/grilling under the garden lamp operated from the apt. There is an additional dining table on the terrace with a lamp above it.
