Fantastic home from home, highly recommended.
This property is the perfect family home from home. It is spacious, clean and has all the mod cons and facilities for a family, including young children. The location, not far from Oistins, and in a quiet cul de sac is a great base for exploring Barbados. The owner provides a fantastic welcome and assistance throughout the stay.
Located approximately 15/20 minutes drive from the airport it's a great South coast location. The nearest beach, Freights Bay - great for surfing, is about 20 mins walk and Miami/Enterprise beach - larger family beach, approximately 30 mins away. There is a great, regular ZR service from the main road nearby but as there parking space a car does make things easier. Nearest supermarket is in Oistins and there is a free shuttle bus service from the store if needed.
We, three adults and two teenagers stayed for two weeks. Preparations to arrive at the property were clear and easy and communication was great. There was plenty of space both inside and out as demonstrated by the owners pictures (which are very accurate) and it was lovely to have outside space for relaxing and drying washing. It was great to have fresh bananas from the garden too!
All the facilities worked well, with a very well furnished kitchen and equipment, powerful showers and air con in all rooms. (We used the air con sparingly as requested by the owner) but great ventilation and ceiling fans meant we could stay reasonable cool without it. We had a problem with one of the air conditioning units and this was quickly resolved by the owner. There is a TV with cable channels and good wi-fi, plenty of books, games and if you have small children lots of toys for them and a high chair. The house is in a small, quiet residential road and felt very safe. There are bars on all the windows and good locks to keep the house secure when you are out. Also helps that both neighbours have dogs for added security! Don't be surprised to see a monkey head down the road or a lizards on the patio and there's plenty of birds around the garden too.
Information on the island and what to do and see, including personal recommendations was provided and was very useful. We are regular visitors to Barbados but still found plenty of new places to visit as well as the usual haunts!
100% recommend this property; you will not be disappointed and it will definitely enhance your Barbados stay experience.
