Very big centrally located luxury apartment with excellent court yard/terrace

Overview

Property

Updated: 13-Nov-2016
Passeig de Grácia around the corner and Placa Catalunya and the Ramblas close by

Apartment Batillo is situated in the Eixample Dreta district, only 30 meters from Paseo de Gracia, with a perfect garden area and a stunning decoration. The 150m2  Barcelona apartment has been totally reformed in the end of 2009. You have the opportunity to spend a great Barcelona holiday in this exclusive apartment. In every double room you will find TV, air-condition, WiFi and stunning spacious bed rooms.

The Eixample is a unique Barcelona area where you can find the most outstanding of the modernist architecture, such as Gaudí s 'Sagrada Familia' church, 'La Pedrera', 'Casa Batlló' and 'Casa Milá' museums

Barcelona: Directly on the coast you will find the metropolitan city of Barcelona. It is the second largest city on Spain. A modern, cosmopolitan city, but has inherited many centuries of history.

You will always find something to do in Barcelona. It is full of surprises for adults as well as for the children and will keep you entertained with countless cultural and recreational activities throughout the year. The city is the only big European city with a large sandy beach, basically in the center of town.

Combined with the winding streets of the old town (Barri Gotic), and the pounding big-city life of large shopping streets and virtually a café on every corner - Barcelona is probably the most exciting city in Spain, perhaps in all of Europe.

Museums: The city has more than 50 museums (and 300 in Catalonia), showcasing permanent collections of works by artists such as Picasso, Joan Miró and Antoni Tàpies. At the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC) you can see one of the world's most important collections of Romanesque art. It also has famous collections of contemporary art housed in museums such as the Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA) and CaixaForum. Most museums stage temporary exhibitions.

Architect and designer: Antoni Gaudi was at the forefront of the Art Nouveau movement in Spain. While working in Barcelona he created some of the city's most notable and extraordinary landmarks. He was a pioneer in his field using color, texture, and movement in ways never before imagined. All of is works, the ones he finished himself, as well as the uncompleted (La Sagrada Familia) stands as testimony to his genius. We recommend in particular the Parque Güell on the hill of el Carmel 10 on the outskirts of the city.

Restaurants, Bars and nightclubbing: If this is one of your first visits to Barcelona, you will never go wring with a stroll around the old quarter (Barri Gotic). Theres is a perfect little cafe virtually on every corner. Go look and you will find. This is in our experience the best way to get the feel for Barcolona. If you prefer planning ahead; the Timeout guide is a good place to start.

The night-life in Barcelona is infamous -and not without reason. There is hardly any place in Europe with a nightlife anything like this. Whether you want to dance all night to the latest music with the teenagers and 20-somethings, or enjoy a quiet drink in picturesque settings. Go to a concert. Etc. Etc. Barcelona is your city. The possibilities are too numerous to mention.

Great Location & Accomodation

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful 10 day experience in Barcelona. The location of the apartment made it easy to access the many parts of the city we wanted to visit and have quiet down time if we wanted it. The courtyard was a special bonus where we had could eat and relax outdoors if we chose to. The apartment is well appointed & decorated, clean and easy for a large group to stay in. When we revisit Barcelona, we will be back.

Apartment Batillo has an amazing location in the very heart of Barcelona, just 600 meters from Plaza de Catalunya and 25 meters from the superb shopping street Paseo de Gracia, where you will also find many of Gaudi's stunning buildings. The area is also known for it’s many splendid restaurants and boutiques, The nearest metro stations are Plaza de Catalunya (L1-L2-L3) and Paseo de Gracia (L2-L3-L4). The bus stop for going right to the Airport is only 50 meters.
