Centrally located apartment with 2 bedrooms and lovely terrace

This apartment is the perfect base for a family visiting Barcelona, or anyone else who wish to explore the city by day and relax by night. The apartment has a great terrace, however, noise from the terrace is easily heard by neighbors, which means the apartment is rent to groups that doesn’t need stay up all night.

The apartment is located centrally in the lower part of Eixample (down below there is a more thorough description of the location and district). The apartment has a well-equipped kitchen, a living room with television and a dining table with a view to the terrace. Furthermore, is it possible to eat out on the terrace, which has no more than two dining areas.

The apartment has two bedrooms where it’s possible to sleep in both double beds and single beds. To get a further sleeping place is it possible to turn the alcove into an additional bedroom. Turning the alcove into a bedroom simply requires folding out a couch, and then you have an extra sleeping place for 1-2 people.

The apartment also features WIFI and air-condition, to put it simply: the apartment is an ideal base for your visit to Barcelona.

Great location and super clean!

I have booked properties on HomeAway for years, but this was my first time booking abroad. All communications with Sydens Feriehuse were quickly answered and extremely helpful. The property was as described, if not better! We felt extremely safe in the area. The neighborhood was so charming; we felt we were submerged in the local culture. We could easily get to any area of Barcelona via the subway and connecting with trains, etc. We had everything we needed as far as amenities. But the BEST thing about this rental property was Virginia! She was our local contact, and she was awesome! She was kind, resourceful, hard working, and always available.

Eixample

The Eixample-district is a wonderful district filled with work of architectural masterminds.

The apartment is located in the lower and central part of Eixample and it gives you a unique opportunity to explore central Barcelona. Your adventure in Eixample and Barcelona might take you by Ravál, which is known as Barcelona’s alternative district. Ravál is a district that has been going through an incredible development in recent years, and the district is full of rawness, excitement and diversity, art and a chaotic mix of style. Moreover, your adventure can take you by the old university La Universitat de Barcelona and the squares Placa de Universitat and Placa de Catalunya.

From Placa Catalunya emanates the landmark of Barcelona – “Las Ramblas”. “Las Ramblas” is relatively close to the water and it separates Ravál from the Gothic district, which is the antique central of Barcelona. If you decide to walk through the Gothic district and crosses Via Laitena, you will find yourself in the district of “El Borne”. “El Borne” is a pleasant and lively neighborhood, filled with nice small streets and squares with both restaurants and shops. Alternatively, you could also decide to go from “Las Ramblas” straight down to the water, where you will find a district called Barceloneta. Barceloneta is right by the water and the district features lovely sea-food restaurants and a harbor on one side, and on the other side begins the lengthy beach of Barcelona. On the beach, you can enjoy the sun, bath, play some volleyball or even walk on the esplanade. If you take the esplanade you will be able to reach the Olympic district and harbor, where you will also find some wonderful restaurants.

If you stay in Eixample, however, will you, in less than 10 minutes, be able to walk to the lovely street called “Rambla de Catalunya”. “Ramble de Catalunya” is a pedestrianized street with plenty of shops and restaurants. If the shops and restaurants of “Rambla de Catalunya” don't fit your mood of the day, you could instead skip through “Rambla de Catalunya”, go to the next street and then you will find yourself on the beautiful and sophisticated boulevard “Passeig de Gràcia”. “Passeig de Gràcia” features, among many other great things, two spectacular buildings designed by the famous architect Gaudi, who also designed the cathedral “La Sagrada Família”.
