Main house with three double/twin rooms all en-suite

The influence of the artist who restored La Granja is shown by stunning terraces framed by eucalyptus trees and the original Canarian external staircase. Internally there is a music system,TV, a selection of videos, a library and a games table.

The main house is a spacious 3,000 square feet with high beamed ceilings in the entrance hall, sitting room and dining room. The three bedrooms each have a modern en-suite bathroom.

The kitchen is modern and efficient, with granite worktops, a lovely Belling cooker, a Bosch fridge/freezer and a dishwasher

The walled pool area has multiple tables and a pergola ideal for shaded dining.

The detached studio / games room is equipped with easels and sculpture-stands plus a pool-table and dartboard

  • Each bathroom in the main house is fully tiled in white ceramic tiles and the bathroom units were all supplied by Roca with marble or Corian tops. All the floors are tiled and every bathroom has matching towels. Hot water is supplied by three independent electrically heated tanks. One of the tanks serves both bathrooms downstairs in the main house. Each kitchen has its own independent electrically heated tank for hot water.

  • The master bedroom is the only room on the first floor. It has a modern en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower, bidet and adjoining dressing room. The two other bedrooms are on the ground floor and they both have modern en-suite bathrooms with shower units. One bedroom has a 'Murphy Double Bed' which allow the room to be used as a sun lounge in the Winter. This room has direct access to the pool. On warm nights the altitude of the property, the thick walls and opening windows in every bedroom allow guests to create a through draft which keeps all the rooms cool overnight.

Notes:
The games room is separate from the main house and cottage. It has a pool table and dart board. The room has double doors, opening windows and roof lights which allow in natural light. Originally a studio, the room also has easels and sculpture stands. Art materials are available in Arrecife. There is a permanent chess table in the dining room of the main house.

Amazing!

A wonderful rural finca set in about 3/4 a acre , carefully restored to keep the essence and feel of its age . It is huge inside with a loverly sitting room , dinning room and modern well equipped kitchen. Outside the pool area has views of two calderas ( mountains ) framing the distant sea view and the separate large patio area is sheltered by 5 mature eucalyptus trees giving welcome dappled shade in the heat of the day. 3 spacious en suite bedrooms with very comfy beds . Paul and his friendly dog Lenny were very welcoming and helped to make a very enjoyable holiday. Our only regret is we wished we had found this wonderful villa years ago and of course - we will be returning .

Fantastic Property, Clean, Spacious, Well Positioned. Faultless!

From the moment we arrived Paul (Property Owner) could t have been more helpful and personable.

The property is very spacious, clean and equipped with all functionality you need. Great kitchen, appliances are modern and every piece of kitchen equipment you could ever need.

Beds are comfy and were all changed halfway through out 14 day stay.

Television, music system, dvd’s And cd’s all available to use within the lounge area.

Pool was cold as it was December but a lovely sunbathing area and overall very nice indeed.

Property is situated a short drive from Porto Del Carmon and is actually fantastically situated to explore the island, heading in any direction.

To summarise, if you are looking for a fantastic Lanzarote Stay then call Paul and book it - fantastic

A beautiful farmhouse with original features, plenty of space and a lovely outdoor area.

We have just got home from a very relaxing week at La Granja, whilst being set away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist resorts, it's only a 15 minute drive to Puerto del Carmen, 20 minutes to Costa Teguise and 34 minutes to Playa Blanca. The rural element ensured that we spent the week relaxing round the pool rather than chasing entertainment because it was on our doorstep as you do in Carmen, although we did go to the tourist resorts a couple of times for dinner when we had the car. The owner Paul lives in the attached cottage with the most amazing dog Lenny, who will play fetch with you for hours if you let him. Paul was very helpful and friendly without being intrusive and gave us advice on shopping, restaurants and more, he even helped us to arrange car hire to be delivered and collected from the property. I would definitely go back and stay at La Granja, although I would hire a car for the full week from and to the airport next time.

Lovely old finca with good sized private pool.

Lovely old finca with good sized pool. Could do with some minor refurbishment work to restore property and gardens to former glories. Despite good family outside space, surprisingly no BBQ option.

WiFi intermittent (as with many parts of island) and TV controls need further explanation. Could also do with some walking guides and / or maps, although the owner is very helpful in suggesting places to visit.

All that said, these are very minor points and the villa offers lots of flexible space and a very gentle and friendly dog next door!

beathtaking

Having opted to holiday in non-commercial villas, I can honestly say that La Granja is an absolutely beautiful villa. Situated in Montana Blanca, a car is highly recommended although Playa Honda is only a few kilometres away and there is a regular bus service that runs through the village.

The description of the villa doesn't do it justice, there were 5 of us in total with 2 of us requiring additional needs. This didn't faze Paul, the owner, one bit, he was more than welcoming and accommodating. Paul showed us the local bar, and an excellent Mexican restaurant in Arrecife, La Lupe ( highly recommended). Paul showed us where the best shops were and was on hand for any questions or advice when needed even where the local Pharmacy was.

The villa itself is in the sleepy village of Montana Blanca, but with the pool and outside space at the villa we didn't feel the need to eat out all the time, preferring relaxed meals on the terrace at the villa.

As well as the pool there is a games room with a pool table and good selection of games to keep you entertained, also a VAST selection of books, as an avid reader I was in my element. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend La Granja to anyone wanted to get away from the crowds but with easy access to all amenities that Lanzarote has to offer . In fact juat spoke to Paul to return next year

La Granja is a traditional Canarian farmhouse which has quietly looked over the village of Montana Blanca, towards the ocean, for more than 200 years. The house lies between Montana Guatisea and Montana Blanca with views of the sea to the West. To the East is the wine growing area of La Geria which adjoins the Timanfaya National Park. One of the best wineries on the island is within walking distance and is well worth a visit.

The village is almost in the middle of Lanzarote allowing easy access to:

- all the amazing buildings, art and sculpture created by Cesar Manrique, the island's wonderful artist and guardian

- the wind-surfing beach at Famara (7 miles) where '2000 years BC' was filmed

- various bathing beaches

- the capital Arrecife (5 miles) and within seven miles the resorts of Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise and the old capital of Teguise with its Sunday market

- there are two golf courses within eight miles

- a wide choice of excellent restaurants

Other Activities: Gokarting, aquapark, zoo, riding centre, dolphin museum

Golf: Costa Teguise Golf - It is an 18-hole, par 72 par course which ranges in length from 4938 metres to 6,041 metres at its longest.

Course facilities - the course benefits from an excellent clubhouse with a Pro-shop, Restaurant and Coffee Bar.

A full range of equipment is available for hire from half and full sets of clubs through to Golf Buggies.

The course has a resident pro and offers both private and group lessons.

Puerto del Carmen Golf - It is an 18-hole, par 72 course with four par 3's, four par 5's and ten par 4's, with a total length of 6,133 metres.

The course was conceived to appeal to any player regardless of handicap, to enjoy the game on wide fairways and big greens
