Villa with private pool. Internet & AC included in rental.

Updated: 20-Sep-2016
Pretty detached villa with 4 en suite bedrooms and extensive sea views

Villa Panorama is a pretty, recently built, part stone-clad, detached villa, set high up on a hill with some views of the sea and coastline. Situated on the well-known golf course development, it is well positioned within the development of Secret Valley/Venus Rock, this property has another villa on one side, open space in front with views to the sea and views of the mountain range to the rear. During 2013/2014/2015 there was some villa construction work near the property. This was not a problem for any of the guests – see Client Comments for their reviews. We are advised there will be more villa development during 2015/2016 behind the rear garden wall and beyond the footpath to the rear approx 100m - 200m from the villa. The villa itself is only a few years old and very comfortably furnished, with plenty of windows to enjoy the views and large open terraces leading to the private pool, the shallow end is 1m deep and there are walk-in steps and a poolside shower. The garden is landscaped with flowering shrubs and topiary. There are many paved areas, open and shady terraces, a BBQ, 8 sun loungers and covered car port.

Ground floor details: Open plan living / dining room with satellite TV & DVD player, fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, 1 double bedroom opening onto terrace, en suite shower room and small additional windowed room with baby cot.

First floor details: Master double bedroom opening onto veranda, en suite bathroom, 2 twin bedrooms each with en suite shower room. NB All bedrooms have French windows, some sea views and good cupboard space.

We had a great time staying at Villa Panorama.  It is a lovely villa in a great position.

We went to some good restaurants while we were there - our favourite was Aspris Tavern in Kouklia village.  The food and the service were excellent - Angela and Demetrius were very busy but they were very friendly and took the time to chat to us. We went there two nights out of seven!  We also went to Gabriels Tavern in Kouklia, which is also very reasonable.

We also went to Aphrodite Hills twice - to the Trattoria and the Greek restaurant (I can't remember their names!)  The food was good there but expensive and not great service.

We spent a day on Pissouri beach which is great for water sports and we had lunch at the beach cafe there.  We also went to Aphrodite Water Park in Paphos which was good fun but very busy - we had to queue to get in and to get out because you have to pay for any drinks/food you have had while you were there!

I would definitely recommend Villa Panorama for a holiday, it is a very spacious, clean villa in a nice area and handy for lots of good restaurants and beaches.  Kathy and Bill were very nice and helpful, they popped round a couple of times during the week to see if we were ok which was very kind.

Great Villa but disappointing departure - bond not returned in full

  • 3 of 5

We had a fantastic week at the villa, awesome villa with everything you could want, lots of toys to entertain kids in the pool. Kitchen is fantastic with 2 fridges for large crowds and great indoor outdoor flow.

Was tempted to rebook it for next October until we were told that we wouldn't be receiving our bond back for things we "had damaged, not cleaned etc". We have been going on holiday 2/3 times a year for the past 12 years and NEVER had issues at check-out and have NEVER had money taken off our bond for damages or cleaning the villa.

If you do intend to book this villa be prepared to clean the villa top to bottom as a professional cleaner would do. We did have a mishap where we did turn the fridge off as the check out person did not show up to ensure check out was ok and being conscious turned all plugs off but other than that we left the Villa extremely cleaned. I felt we were unreasonably charged for cleaning. We were also accused of wetting the double bed for which I slept alone in for the entire week there as my husband slept with my autistic son as he was scared of his "new" bedroom.

Very disappointing to the end of what was a fab holiday.

WOW! What a paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Villa Panorama for two weeks, and we had such an amazing time! The villa was big enough for us - two families (4 adults and 5 children). The villa was in excellent shape and we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The pool area is perfect - quiet, peaceful and no insight to the pool. A few times we needed help with things, and the caretakers did an amazing job, and were so friendly and nice to us. Thank's to all the hints from previous renters, we decided to try Gabriel's restaurant in Kouklia, and what a hit it was! We returned several times for teh wonderful and cheap food at his restaurant. Most of the cooking we did at the villa, though, and it was convenient and simple with all the kitchen tools in the villa. We loved the big dinner table, big enough for the 9 of us. A car is neccessary here, but we had no desire to visit the beaches as the pool was enough for us in the July heat. We definately recommend this villa in this fabulous area of Cyprus!

Holiday of dreams!

  • 5 of 5

We all had a great time. As I was told before the holiday, there was some building work nearby but it wasn’t at all intrusive, just the occasional noise, which started at 7am on Monday-Saturday. There was a break for a couple of hours over lunchtime followed by some building during the afternoon. Finished about 5pm. Sundays were silent. We tended to wake up early anyway because of the sunlight and heat. The work is mainly to the side of the villa. This is our second visit and we would still like to go again!

Gabriel's Tavern at Kouklia is our highly recommended restaurant. Service second to none and cheap!

We loved the villa so much, if we won the lottery we would buy it!

*Stop Press - We have just booked to return to the villa for a third time in 2014. Can't wait!

idillic holiday villa

  • 5 of 5

On our arrival in Cyprus the villa was as described only around 15 mins from the airport, this was our first time in Cyprus and was not dissapointed.

The villa was just as described and everthing was on hand, it was kept imacculate, the management team Bill and Kathy both checked in on us to see if everything was okay.

We had a fabulous time, the villa itself was gorgeous and in a good location. We only had to use the downstairs bedroom and bathroom which was kept clean throughout our stay, the management team had our bedsheets washed throughout the stay. As it was only me and my husband sharing the villa between us, however the rest of the rooms were very presentable throughout our stay.

I would definitely recommend the villa to others, however a hired car is essential because of the location itself!

The bakery in Timi is well worth a visit. The supermarket in Pissouri is located within 15 minutes from the location and is worth checking out for all your food needs and barbeque meat.

Troodos mountains are worth a visit for the scenary as well as Kato Paphos.

All in all the villa was well worth the price, and if you are going as a larger group it wouldn't cost as much as some holidays.

Thank you Carol for letting us use your villa.

Thank you Bill and Kathy for taking care of us whilst we were there.

Tracy and Neale Jones.

Wonderful Holiday in the very nice Villa Panorama

  • 5 of 5

We (2 adults, one child 9 years) had a wonderful holiday in the Villa Panorama. The property is luxurios, extremly well equiped (e.g. lots of dishes and pots and other things in the citchen, two big refridgerators lots of towels, lots of things for children and the pool like air matrazes, barbecue with charcoal etc). The property is very clean and Bill & Kathy, two very nice people, take care about the property (clean the pool, repair things, help were you need them, eg in giving tips about best places to go etc). The whole Secret Valley is a quiet, safe and clean place. It is very quiet there and Our holiday couldn't be better ...

There numerous interesting places quite near, 2 phantastic golf clubs 3 / 5 km away, in particular the GC aphrodite hills; the rock "birthplace of aphrodite" 5 km. The best beaches are Pafos Municipal beach and in Limassol (30 / 50 km) but thanks to the near Motorway only 30 min / 45 min to drive; there are also nearer beaches but we prefer sandy vs pebble beaches. The Troodos Mountains are also in particular recommandable, only 60 km away. Around the Villa and in particular around Pafos there are a lot of interesting historical places (Temple of Aphrodite, Tombs of the Kings etc).

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for this. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the villa and surroundings to the full. Yes Kathy and Bill are great - always ensuring the villa is in excellent order for everyone's arrival and helping with the local information that guide books do not give you! Anyway we very much appreciate your taking the time to report back.

The charm of Villa Panorama

  • 5 of 5

Arriving at Paphos airport in the small hours we were relieved at the short drive to the Villa(around 10 minutes). Our second visit to the Villa was as pleasing as the first two years ago and perhaps more so as the Villa owner has made minor additions to the facilities available, for example, the stair gate for babies and the hairdryer.

The development is a contemporary and clean place to stay with a seemingly even mixture of locals and holiday makers. We were not bothered by anyone during our stay but received a brief and kind welcome from the next door neighbour who recognised us from our first visit. We also received a short visit from one of the Villa managers Kathy checking that all was OK.

The Villa is set back from the road with a gated drive and both the villa and grounds are clean and spacious. The facilities are extensive and one could certainly argue that it is a home from home. Cutlery and crockery were excellent with both indoor ceramic and outdoor plastic for those balmy barbeque nights.

The decor in the Villa is modern and elegant but you can feel fairly relaxed as it is sturdy and functional. Ample wardrobe and storage space means that you can remain uncluttered and tidy whether the villa is fully occupied or with only a small family staying.

Each bedroom has its own bathroom and all are light, airy and well equipped. The showers were powerful and of modern design.

The Villa is situated on a hill and this means that you get a lovely view of the sea and the benefit of a cooling breeze which is most welcome in the heat of the midday sun.

You do need to have transport as the Villa is a short drive from the nearest village but there are supermarkets dotted around locally which provide everything you might need. Even the tiny supermarket in Kouklia was amazingly well stocked. The Villa is pretty close to Aphrodites rock which is worth a visit too. We particularly like Mandria's restaurants in the evenings.

Villa Panorama is great if you want all the creature comforts and facilities from home in a modern space but with a fair dash of Cypriot charm.

From the Owner

It is situated on a golf complex with sea views from some upstairs rooms and just 5 minutes drive to the coast. .

Activity and Interests

Nearest Barpub : at 2 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : at 2 Kilometres Car: recommended

The coastline in the area is remarkable and the famous “Petra tou Romiou”, the stunning rock formation reputed to be the birthplace of Aphrodite, the goddess of love, is within 10 minutes drive. There are beaches all along this coastline, the nearest of which is within 5 minutes drive.

There is a restaurant at the Secret Valley/Venus Rock Clubhouse (approx 2 km) and there are a number of other restaurants available within 10 – 15 minutes drive, both along the road to Paphos and also in nearby Aphrodite Hills. Paphos itself, with its pretty marina bordered by a wide selection of restaurants, shops and bars and sightseeing, all situated around its harbour and fortress, is just 20 minutes drive away.

Golf: There are three excellent 18 hole golf courses in the close proximity of Villa Panorama.

The nearest, Secret Valley/Venus Rock Golf Club is a short 5 minute drive. The course plays to a par 72 and measures 6,120 meters. With it's driving range, chipping area and putting greens it is close enough to get in some daily practice! Secret Valley is a highly prestigious golf course located by the renowned area of 'Petra tou Romiou', the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, the Goddess of love. It is set in a scenic valley surrounded by mature trees and beautiful natural rock formations. It consistently appears as the preferred course amongst the island's visiting players in terms of sheer playability and enjoyment.

The Aphrodite Hills Golf Complex has a championship course just a few miles further up the coast on the road to Limassol. Crowning Aphrodite Hills Resort's outstanding leisure facilities is the magnificent 18-hole golf course, designed by acclaimed course architect, Cabell B. Robinson. Five years in the making, it follows the scenic contours of two plateaux, its challenging fairways cutting a swathe through lakes, olive and carob trees. No wonder the course has taken its rightful place among the very best the Mediterranean can offer.

The third one, Minthis Hills Golf Club (formerly Tsada) is just 30 minutes away, on the road to Polis. It was founded in 1994 on the hills of Tsada, and is set on the grounds of a 12th century monastery, in a verdant valley.
