Oh dear.
Would I stay here again ? No NOT EVER. We arrived at 3.50pm (Check in was at 4pm) the cleaners were still there along with someone from Reunion who told us very abruptly that we could not get in yet as it wasn't 4pm. No nice 'welcome to your holiday' or 'sorry just finishing up won't be long have a look around outside'. We waited for them to leave after one of the cleaners told us nicely they were finished.
The children couldn't wait to get into the pool. Well I wouldn't even have let a stray dog go in there. It was disgusting. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. It was full of the previous people's inflatables. The pool was green and looked like you would need a tetanus shot after using it. There were various things at the bottom of the pool that looked like someone had used it as a toilet. The area around the pool was black and dirty. There were bits of wire around the pool, old sparklers, champagne bottle tops. It clearly had not been cleaned for weeks. By the time we had discovered all of this the Reunion offices were closed so we emailed them and got a reply the next morning saying someone would be out we called them to find out when but they didn't know! I don't have enough characters to go into all the backwards and forwards with communications. They did get someone round and because he thought it was so bad he stayed to clean around the pool. He was the only good thing about Reunion Homes. We were advised we didn't need pool heating - you do. There is also an alarm on the doors out to the pool this went off at 1.45am and 3am and various other times. We reported this but no-one came to look at it.
The bins outside were swarming with flies and maggots! Reunion told us they were emptied on Monday (no way we arrived on Wednesday) and that if we put them out they would be cleaned. They WERE NOT.
The villa is very spacious. As you walked in the entrance hall there was some carpet taped over broken tiles. The main bedroom at the front of the house you can't use as the blinds do not cover the entire window and there are no curtains. One of the other front bedrooms has no fan or air con so it gets quite warm. The other front bedroom has the pool pump right outside the window which is loud and on from 8am - 10pm. Upstairs bedrooms had dirty linen on them and when getting another out of the cupboard it was soaking wet.
We spent most days in contact with Reunion but they DO NOT CARE. No apologies at all
