About this property

Desert Rose: A quiet home in the countryside

.The house is in a sought after area by divers and cultural people as it is minutes away from the Blue Grotto, the temples of Hagar Qim and Imnajdra and the capital city of Valletta. Pretty bay (sandy beach) is just 10 mins drive away. Public transport is just 350m away from the property.

The space

There is a large walk-in wardrobe in the bedroom with ample space to store your belongings and clothes.
One can take a nice relaxing walk in the countryside as soon as you step foot out of the house. Just opposite there is a small secondary road that takes you for an hour’s walk in the countryside.
Guest access

Interaction with guests

As your host I will be available when I’m not working and will answer most of your questions. If you intend to visit Valletta, I can drop you off free of charge as I work there. From Valletta you can catch a bus to wherever you want in Malta.

Other things to note

I am a police sergeant and have been serving the Malta police force for the past 23 years. I work in forensics. I love to travel a lot and love to meet other people and share experiences. My travels took me to Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Vietnam, England, Holland, Germany, Ireland, Scotland, Bulgaria, Italy, Greece, France, Israel, and Spain ( walking the camino) and much more. We might share some travel experience over a good bottle of wine in the evening. . I speak fluent English and Italian and understand Spanish but can’t speak the language very well.

I liked the fact that this property was in an ordinary Maltese town and away from the tourist traps. It was lovely and quiet and felt very safe. There are however regular buses that will take you to wherever you want to get to when you feel the need for more activity. Unfortunately I did not get to meet the owner but his lovely parents were there to greet me and give me an overview of the apartment, where things were and how things worked. Ann was also on hand at the end of the phone when needed. I had the place to myself for a few days. My bedroom was beautifully furnished and decorated and the bed was incredibly comfortable. My allocated bathroom was gorgeous - although a new shower head would be good! I ended up not staying for the full week but this was nothing to do with the property but a choice of mine to be closer to friends in Sliema.
