Excellent convenient for good safe skiing

Clean, well-equipped, comfortable, 2nd floor, resort apartment - 3xtwin bedrooms (also double sofa bed), ideal for excellent skiing, close to ski lifts (to Massif area) - adjacent to excellent green + blue runs back to apartment (many 3yr+ children). Ski locker room (tip: take own mini-padlocks). Next to good dubutante slope, travelator, button lift + tuition (various grades - available in English). Convenient well stocked self-catering shop. V. close to bakery, take-away pizza, ski shops, post box etc. Busy restaurants (tip: book on arrival in hols). Car park nearby (tip: limited space in school hols - arrive early'ish). Cabine lift (10min) to/from Morillon village/bus stop (tip: pre-book Skibus to/from Cluses/TGV €5.50 - website in French - also offers discount ski hire). Eurostar/TGV cheaper than flights to/from UK. Would revisit with granddaughters!

Excellent stay in beautiful resort.

Our Australian cousins joined us for this wonderful ten days in our favourite ski resort and they definitely want to return! This apartment was new to us but we found it to be all we could have wished for. Clean, comfortable and well equipped, in the centre of the village with direct access to the slopes, and with the added bonus of the indoor pool and sauna, etc. We know the area well and this is one of the best apartments we have stayed in. The owner Penny was pleasant and friendly and very eager to please. The on-site management team were also very efficient. Altogether we had a fabulous holiday and will most definitely be using this apartment again.

Good value for money

Well set out property for a party of six. Good condition. Everything that you need is available. We have stayed there on three occasions and have found it easily accessible, well proportioned and great value for money.

Fantastic position in Morillon 1100

The apartment was absolutely perfect and had everything you could need for a great week skiing. We rented the apartment as 2 families (both with children aged 10 and 8) and everyone easily fitted in with plenty of space for eating and relaxing. The apartment was clean, beds and bedding warm and comfortable. A very convenient ski room also meant not having carry ski gear back to the apartment. We met the owners on our holiday and they were extremely helpful and accommodating, going out of their way to give us useful information regarding ski runs and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this apartment, thanks Penny!

Lovely family apartment

The apartment was spacious and well laid out, more than adequate for our family of four plus granny. Our children loved doing the morning run to the patisserie and it was close to the main lift, ski hire and restaurants. The views over the valley were a bonus and the lift in the building was very welcome at the end of a long day skiing. The owner was extremely helpful in answering our queries and giving us information about the area (it was our first time in Morrillon) and we would thoroughly recommend this property.

Spot on

This was the third consecutive year in which our party of three adults has rented the apartment so we knew precisely what we were signing up for. Well appointed, warm and comfortable it has in particular a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and excellent showers. It also has a large and secure balcony which is a handy alternative to the fridge - assuming you stay in the winter months. The management company was very helpful and exchanged a cracked casserole dish without a problem. We drove from the UK and came provisioned for the week but we were able to buy the daily essentials from the local shops. ESF (ski school) and Intersport (ski hire) were also very helpful and provided a characteristically efficient service. We had to change a couple of pairs of boots and a pair of skis during the week but this took no more than five minutes and there was absolutely no quibble. The snow was plentiful and the pistes were first class. The apartment suits us perfectly and with the emphasis on skiing rather than night-life we recommend it unconditionally. We hope to return in 2015.

Well placed - relaxed -family friendly. Our apartment, part of the impressive Jardin Alpin residence that opened in 2006, sleeps up to 9 people with 3 double bedrooms, 1 en-suite. The open plan living area has plenty of sofa seating as well as HiFi and satellite TV for when you need it (some English channels). It’s furnished in a clean, simple way, is bright and spacious and has a balcony that overlooks the stunning backdrop of the Giffre Valley. We have made sure there is plenty of storage space available for those who need it. Morillon Les Esserts sits above the charming Savoyard village of Morillon at 1100m. Its centre is a family friendly, car free place that offers a small selection of restaurants, bars, a few shops and a supermarket. Within 100 metres of the ski slopes and the Sairon chairlift the apartment gives you direct access to the Grand Massif, one of France’s biggest ski areas, with over 260km of piste offering every type of terrain you could possible wish for.
