Cottage is on a 17-acre private property three miles from Battlefield and four miles from downtown Gettysburg providing a beautiful, peaceful setting for your relaxing get-away. Nature and seclusion are yours. Cottage has screened porch to enjoy solitude for everything from your morning coffee to your evening recollections of time spent on the battlefield, downtown stroll, or at the many special events in Gettysburg, such as the Reenactment, Remembrance Day, and the Bluegrass Festival.

Perfect place to land!

The PERFECT place to land for a fall getaway in the Gettysburg area. Our hosts were wonderful and our cottage clean & cozy with everything you'll need PLUS those extra touches that make you feel welcome ~ snacks, wine, crackers & cheese, breakfast pastries, and OJ. Our ride up the driveway took us past the chickens, turkeys, and rabbits quarters to a dedicated parking space. Our cottage (one of two on site) was located a short walk up the gravel pathway. The grounds were gorgeous with several benches for taking in the rural views of the surrounding fields & woods and there is a screened in porch that was perfect to enjoy our morning coffee and evening drinks. Two things are certain after our visit ~ 1. We will recommend this site to friends & family. 2. We will return!

Spring time in Picket cottage

Our stay was comfortable and cozy. A nice quiet rural setting and we plan to come back often as our son and family recently bought a small home nearby.

Amazing!!

We really enjoyed our stay! The place was spotless and cozy. They have provided everything needed. Out of the hustle and bustle of being right in town, but a very quick ride to get to all that needs to be seen! Quiet and very relaxing! Would absolutely stay here again!

Wonderful Relaxing Sanctuary

We loved the Brierfield cottages. We stayed in Picketts Cabin and had such a relaxing weekend. The animals running around the yard were fun and very friendly, including the family dog. If you want a nice, clean, quiet stay while visiting Gettysburg you wouldn’t go wrong staying here. Thanks to Chris and Todd for being great hosts, we’d love to come back down the road.

This is a guest cottages property that was owned by Chris's mother, Nancy Rice, who ran a B&B and then the cottages for 30 years in Gettysburg. It is a much loved home and cottages.
