El Solei is a beautiful villa located in Puig-Surís, in a quiet, safe and sunny neighbourhood with breathtaking mountain views.

It's located only 2 km. from Banyoles lake, 1 km. from the city (where restaurants, banks, supermarkets are found), 13 km. from Natural Park of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone, 37 km. from the magnificent Costa Brava beaches, 27 km. from the Girona International Airport and 117 km. from Barcelona city.

The house is suitable for a group from 6 up to 14 people. It's a spacious house with five bedrooms (one is adapted for handicapped people), three bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room - dining room with TV, TV satellite, DVD, air conditioning, fireplace, wifi access,...

Outside there is a big garden of 1.000m2 with swings and a slide for children, a climbing wall for children, garden furniture, a large wooden-covered porch with barbecue which is ideal for eating outside all year round, a little wooden house with an inside kitchen for children, an enormous private swimming-pool of 10x5m with saline treatment exclusively for you, you haven't to share it.

The climate of the Pla de l'estany region is the typically Mediterranean one. The proximity with the coast gives a soft temperatures during all the year.

About Raquel Xargay

Hello! We are Xargay's family. Welcome to El Solei.

In 2010 we decided to convert it as a holiday rental villa.

Pere is a builder and he's a passionat man with his job. He rehabilitated and restored the house with all the details. He's the father of the family.

Dolors is a kind and tireless worker. She's learning French and English. She is the mother of the family but she's also the pillar of the house.

Raquel, with a chemical profession, is working behind the computer and she manages your booking but she also likes welcome you to the house and she explains to you all the activities that you can do in the area.

Sílvia is biologist, cheerful and hardworking. She's the middle sister.

Sandra is a great professional in the world of physiotherapy and aesthetics. She loves the relaxation and wellness. She has got her own center 2 km. from the house. She will take care of you.

A fantastic holiday

Raquel and her family were very welcoming.

The attention to details was fantastic.

The house and gardens gave the two families the opportunity to get together or to do our own things as we pleased.

We did not venture far in order to enjoy the wonderful pool and weather.

We really enjoyed watching the butterflies and dragonflies.

Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

A thoroughly great holiday, in a good accomodation.

Trips to Girona, Banyoles, Barcelona, volcanoes near Santa Pau are worth considering. The kids loved the swimming-pool and beaches.

Like a canvas where nature has intended to combine with exquisite delicacy the intense green of the pine groves, the massive steadfastness of the rocks, the softness of the golden sands and the deep, dazzling blue of the sea - that is the Costa Brava.

Frommer's Magazine from US and National Geographic have published in October 2011 the Best Destinations of the World for 2012 which are Girona and the Costa Brava.

Golf: The house is 9km from Girona Golf. Golf Girona is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course designed by the English architect F.W. Hawtree, seeded entirely with Penncross, the best quality grass for playing golf.

A course that is entirely adapted to its natural surroundings, featuring an advanced sprinkling system using regenerated water from Girona's purification plant, and meeting the most up-to-date environmental standards.

The top nine holes are extremely competitive – their design requires players to use all the clubs in their bags. The bottom nine are simply spectacular, with all the tees set atop walls built with Girona stone, offering impressive panoramic views of the fairways. It is a true pleasure to follow the flight of the ball towards its destination, and encourages many players to take out their woods.

Ski: -The Vallter 2000 ski station is situated 60km from the house.

Vallter 2000 is surrounded by peaks, some exceeding 2,800 meters, the base station is located at 2,000 meters above the valley of the River Ter.

It's a privileged location since it gives the visitors a unique and exceptional views. Since the 2535 m level you can see the bay of Roses and the Cap de Creus (Costa Brava). This proximity to the sea makes the eastern storms leave snowfall can exceed one meter in height. Vallter where the snow is more Mediterranean.

-The mountain resort of Vall de Núria is situated 65km from the house.

Discover an unparalleled environment where the waters of the Núria river can only run its course thanks to the deep narrow gorges that have been cut through this hard rock, until you arrive at the valley of the Freser, a river which flows into the great Ter at Ripoll.
