Thoroughly enjoyed the Lot and Aveyron and relaxed each evening for a meal on the island. Thank you both.

Perfect setting for a great holiday

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at La Mouline for a week this summer, and we didn't want to leave! The entire property is beautifully maintained, but you won't find a more idyllic setting than La Mouline. Set away from everything else, on its own little island, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot. The house is well sized for one or two couples, and we found it spotless with every amenity you could need. And if you find you do need anything, you have only to ask. Martin and Simon could not have been more friendly and welcoming. We could tell that they truly cared that we had a good stay. Thank you for a great week, we look forward to coming back next year.

Perfekter Urlaub.

  • 5 of 5

The small ex-mill on its own island can only be recommended. For those who are seeking peace and tranquility, this is the right place. The rooms are super clean, in the evenings the wood fire warms them. The owners, Simon and Martin, keep evrything in 1A condition. Their visits together with the two dogs werde always a highlight of the day. For all those who want to recover but need to get in touch with the working world now and again, the internet connection is one of the fastest, which I've ever used.

Riding, fishing, walking, castles and magical villages to visit, and every day brings a new discovery, time flies by just far too quickly. Before one knows it, the holiday is over. To cut a long story short, we had a super a time and are looking forward to a next visit. All the best. Nick and Ute.

Car: recommended

The riverside village of Cajarc is two kilometres away and offers such amenities as restaurants, cafés, grocers, bakers, butchers, pharmacy, a tourist office and a weekly local market. The towns of Figeac, Villefranche de Rouergue and Cahors are within easy reach by car.

At the Moulin de Lantouy: swimming, volleyball, table-tennis, walks, fishing. Locally: water-skiing, river trips, swimming pool, childrens play area, bike hire, canoe-kayak and tennis.

Around: wine tasting, extensive walking, riding, potholing, skiing, boat trips, sightseeing (Rocamadour, St-Cirq-Lapopie, Gorge de l'Aveyron, Gouffre de Padirac...)
